  • Beautiful house, great yard, and the host was amazing!

"The owner really helped make our stay by being responsive and generous. The house has beautiful shared areas with a great kitchen, extra fridge space, and a nice dining/living room. The back yard is well maintained and fenced in, and we were even able to setup a firepit for some smores makin'. Thanks so much for a fun stay - I'd come again!"

  • Extraordinary Week of Family Reconnecting

"My family all reconnected for several days after 3.5 years of not having all been together. We had family from Australia, Cincinnati, Des Moines, Los Angeles and Chicago all gather to meet our new grandchildren and renew family ties. This home is perfect for such a gathering - lots of room on three levels; a large deck overlooking a spectacular golf course and huge pond with fountains. There is a pool table, ping pong table and pinball machine all in the lower level. Five large bedrooms (two with adjacent large bathrooms - four with king sized beds). The fifth bedroom (top level of the house) has multiple queen sized beds positioned well for multiple people to share comfortably. The location was beyond compare, with many walking options and biking. The home is located within a very short distance (less than 2 miles) of the charming quintessential Midwestern small town of Woodstock. Woodstock has a picturesque downtown, with an historic square, restored movie theatre and many noteworthy buildings (setting of the movie "Ground Hog Day"). There were several great restaurants nearby, as well as the Bull Valley Golf Club food offerings (had one of the best hamburgers ever at the pub). Golf is available if desired, as is fine dining in the evening. Very large kitchen, ideal for food preparation and social interaction. Beautiful granite counter tops and large stainless steel sink. Beautiful views from every window of rolling hills, mature trees and the golf course. We had a couple of great BBQs and took advantage of the double ovens and large Viking gas (eight burners) stove. Lots of comfortable chairs available with many others available in the garage for larger gatherings. Large wooden table in the kitchen, with tall chairs for use at the island counter. Beautiful dining room with table and chairs for 10-12. Large flat screen TVs in living room, each bedroom and downstairs, with cable and WiFi. Owner's maintenance man stopped by a couple of times to make sure we had what we needed and took away garbage and recycling during the week. The towels and bed linens were of great quality and the washer/dryer were great to have."

  • Great stay in a great location

"Hosts were very reactive when we booked, everythong went smootlhy and the house and amenities are exactly as pictured. Me and my colleagues had a perfect work retreat during 3 days, ejnoying the garden, the sun, the lake. Would highly recommend it"

  • Great week

"Was very nice. Had everything we needed. Owner was very helpful and nice. Close to many bars and restaurants for casual dining and close enough to Lake Geneva if you want a Starbucks, to do some shopping or higher end restaurants. Free wifi, nice Weber grill and beautiful views. Would definately go back."
