La Rochelle villas

We thought Emmanuelle's home was exquisite. Truly a home rather than a holiday let. Impossible not to fall in love with and want to come back immediately.

Exactly as advertised. Complete privacy, even in the garden. Games room and pool area absolutely brilliant. The hosts, Stephanie and Cyrille, live nearby in case of any problems. We had some queries about how to use the appliances and these were resolved within half an hour. They welcomed us at the start and end of our stay, but otherwise left us alone, which was a perfect balance. Thank you, we hope to visit again.

What a find! This was our 6th visit to Ile de Re and this villa was by far the finest we have stayed in on the island. Beautifully designed and fully appointed throughout with every ammenity needed for a luxurious week or two on holiday. The interior is filled with quirky artwork and furniture, and more than big enough for a full house of 10 guests. It's huge! The bedrooms and en-suite bathrooms are all well decorated and have comfortable quality beds with plenty of wardrobe storage. It was all very clean and kept in good condition. The outdoor area has a lovely garden with pool,sun lounger, sauna, jacuzzi, a BBQ and even a bar! We were met on arrival by Justine our charming host and the lovely & friendly owner met us at the villa on our departure. I would highly recommend this property to anyone thinking of staying here.

We enjoyed staying here. The house is a good base for days out locally by foot or bike or bus. It is also a good place to start for days out by car. The kitchen is well equipped (except we couldn't find saucepan lids!!!!). The appliances all work well, so does the shower. There was no air conditioning unit in one bedroom. Both other bedrooms and the living room did have aircon. This is not a house with a great view but that didn't matter to us. Otherwise a great house.

The property had everything we could have wanted. Lots of little extras like dishwasher and washing machine tablets, herbs and spices and a welcome bottle of local wine with locally made biscuits.It was spotlessly clean and very comfortable.

Martine greeted us with warmth and efficiency, the villa is situated in an ideal location, 5 minutes from beaches, 5 minutes from shops & local market. The villa is well equipped and spacious. We are looking forward to returning to the villa in the very near future.
