I can't say enough about this penthouse and Punta Mita in general. We love this part of the world and have frequented this area and stayed in this condo almost a dozen times over the last several years. Booking: Booking with the owner of this condo is so easy. One of the many benefits of doing business with him is he sends a comprehensive email listing the many activities available in the area. He is an expert on the area and I can say, having spent lots of time in the area, that his recommendations are accurate and complete. The Condo: This condo is very well appointed and has all the items necessary to feel like you're in your own home. It is always very clean. On our last vacation, we brought our one-year-old with us and had no trouble preparing all her meals as usual thanks to the many utensils, etc. The view from the balcony is breathtaking, with Bahia de Banderas, the Marietas Islands, and the Pacific Ocean right before you. On our last trip, we could see whales breaching and spouting from the balcony. The sunrises as viewed from this balcony are some of the best I've ever seen. What we really love about this place, as opposed to the resorts, is the condo is basically located in the geographical center of Punta Mita, with all the available restaurants and activities within walking distance. The resorts and many of the other condos are located inside a large compound, and we have found that you waste so much time getting in and out of there that you miss out on lots of activity. With the 24-hour guard on location at this complex, you can feel safe and at home without feeling isolated. Our favorite thing to do is to go fishing or spearfishing with a local guide, take our catch to Margarita's Restaurant, and have them prepare it three ways: Garlic, grilled, and with Cilantro Sauce. The they bring out the fixings for fish tacos and a round of the best margaritas in town. You won't want to leave. Look no further. We have tried several of the accommodations in Punta Mita and this is by far the best available.

This was one of the best vacations I have ever had. The condo was just perfect over looking the town and water. This is a wonderful vacation spot and the condo is very clean. We bought local frest fish and cooked diner and drank wine on the patio over looking the city. I highly recommed this vacation rental if you have a family or just a twosome. Chris was very helpful and provided great local recommendation. AAA+

For our second trip to Punta Mita, we decided to forego the hotel and stay in a condo. This El Anclote property is centrally located, safe and includes all the amenities- private deck with views of the ocean, pool, hot tub, gas grill and even blender for morning smoothies or margaritas. The condo itself is spacious and very comfortable for 2 couples. Chris was very accommodating and answered all of our questions. We are already planning our next trip back!

Our stay in Punta de Mita was amazing, definitely better then we had expected it to be! We went into this with high hopes and were not disappointed. The condo is pretty much exactly as described, warm and comfortable with just about everything we could need. There is lots to do in the little town of punta mita so it is the perfect place for a relaxing vacation. Chris will provide you with a long list of restaurants and activities in the area so you will be able to relax and enjoy beautiful Mexico!

2011 January 30 My family and I had our best vacation EVER renting through VRBO. We stayed at the Anclote for a week. Our 2 bedroom/ bath penthouse was luxurious and spacious. We had all the amenities that one needs on a holiday. Our vacation rental exceeded what we had hoped for. From the patio every morning and evening we enjoyed watching the sun rise and set as well as our spectacular view of the ocean and mountains. In the mornings we would lounge by the swimming pool and then head to the beach in the afternoon. Everything is close and convenient. It is nice to have the option of cooking as the local butcher has amazing pork which we enjoyed barbequing on the built in barbeque on the patio. Or the option of going to restaurant row for a meal. The El Dorado was our favourite restaurant for casual eating. For fine dining we enjoyed the restaurants in Hotel Artistes. I highly recommend renting this Penthouse as we felt it was well worth it and much better than renting a hotel room. The people are very friendly and we felt safe in Punta de Mita are planning to go back again very soon for another family holiday. Sincerely, Valerina

This condo was wonderful and certainly better than described. I have booked many VRBO rentals and in my opinion this one is a standout. The third floor view(w/ elevator) of the ocean is great, with outdoor living spacious enough for four adults to comfortably enjoy.. The owner is exceptionally communicative and helpful. His list of restaurants and attractions is spot on, and a huge timesaver for the uninitiated. The enclave of Punta Mita is very safe with plenty of shops, restaurants and bars to keep you busy. The quiet family beach is just a small jaunt from the condo. We also enjoyed the access to fast Wifi and phone calls backs to the States. The daily maid service made vacation feel like vacation. We definitely would go back. Thank you Chris for helping to make our trip to Punta Mita exceptional.

We just got back from a week in Mita and the condo was exactly as described. The views from the balcony are awesome. We spent many evenings relaxing and stargazing. This location is so convenient. The small town atmosphere gives you a feeling of safety and community. The property is gated and staffed by friendly locals who will help you find whatever you need. There are plenty of places to shop within walking distance if you don't want to drive. Great restaurants are nearby as well. We took our fish to Hector for some fabulous meals at Margarita's and then visited Tacos y Papas just around the corner for some stuffed potatoes and tacos carne asada. The owner was very helpful in answer "all" my questions and the unit was cleaned daily. We hated coming back home to below 40 degree temperatures, but need to get back to work to save up for next year.
