Bear's Bungalow is our Home away from Home in beautiful Wears Valley, Tennessee. We invite you to come in, take off your shoes, relax and stay awhile. Relax in front of the gas fireplace while enjoying your favorite movies or take a dip in the warm and cozy hot tub right outside the back door.
Comfortable and cozy for a couple or plenty of room for dad, mom, kids, the kids' friends and grandma and grandpa too! Master bedroom has a private bath with tub/shower, very comfortable king-size bed and a TV/DVD combo. Upstairs loft includes two comfortable queen beds, full bath with shower, TV/DVD and desk with high-speed internet hook-up available.
Cabin features a fully-stocked kitchen, just bring what you want to eat! Living room has gas fireplace (only usable during cool/cold season), entertainment center with TV and DVD/VCR. All age movies. Microfiber sofa pulls out into a queen bed.
Front porch has a couple of large rockers and a swing to enjoy the beautiful area. Back porch has the hot tub. Located between back porch and garage/game room is a cookout area featuring a charcoal park grill, food prep table and picnic table.
Detached garage has been converted to a game room with heat and air conditioning and a full bath with a tub/shower. Sleeping in game room features a full/twin bunk. There are activities for all ages available here, pool table, darts, Play Station 2 with games, TV/DVD with cable and movies, games, coloring books and toys. Backyard has a horseshoe pit.
Our Bear's Bungalow cabin is close enough to do all activities in the surrounding areas but far enough away from the hustle and bustle to enjoy the all the awesome beauty of the area.

Why the Owner Chose Wears Valley
Tennessee is an awesome state with strong roots and beautiful people. We had vacationed there several times and looked into timeshares. We decided that a timeshare was not what we wanted after we stayed at one of the beautiful cabins located throughout the Smoky Mountain area.
We started checking out the area and decided on the serene, laid back area of Wears Valley because of the non-commercialization of the area and the closeness to get to everything.
When we first viewed "the cabin on Barkley" we fell in love with it. It was not and still isn't a luxury type of cabin. It is comfy, clean, spacious and a place we could see ourselves calling "home" at some point in our life.
We truly believe that we were meant to have this cabin, even though (for now) it is our second "home" because acquiring it was a breeze and the owners at that time were wonderful people building a new home a mile away. The best part for them is that they built their new home modeled after the cabin they sold to us!
Travel to Bears Bungalow is as easy as pie to do. Paved roads all the way and it is located less than a 1/4 mile from Highway 321 that runs from Pigeon Forge stop light #3 to Townsend.
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin
Quiet and safety is a definite benefit we have at the cabin.
One of our favorite rituals is that the day we arrive in town, we head to "Texas Roadhouse" for some of the best food anywhere (unfortunately we have none in South Florida).
Another one of our favorite things is eating at "Grandmother's Kitchen" which is walking distance from the cabin. They serve "GREAT" homemade food and all the people that work there are awesome!
Some of the waitresses know some great jokes that they share with you. When you walk in and sit down, they all make you feel like a local!
There are so many wonderful places to visit in the area. We like to take long drives on our motorcycle all over the place. We have been riding for several years now and have always found new areas.
