Looking for vacation rentals in the Ozark Mountains of Northwest Arkansas? Call now to reserve one of historic Eureka Springs most memorable vacation homes... Rock Haus Lodge.

Rock Haus, delightfully reminiscent of a European chalet, is built from authentic Ozark native limestone. Experience timeless southern comfort, Ozarks style, in a true home. We know, it's where we raised our family!

We have thoroughly restored our rock house - artfully preserving the original character while adding modern conveniences for enjoyable country living in the 21st century.

Approximately 15 to 20 minutes away are Beaver Lake and the White Rivers to the west, Table Rock Lake at Holiday Island to the north, and the Kings River to the east. Rock Haus is conveniently located on 230 private acres a quarter mile outside of the Eureka Springs city limits.

For a little eco-tourism closer to home, a quarter mile laid-back walk (or drive) along our seasonal rocky-bottom clear water creek will lead you to Black Bass Lake Park, Eureka's newest addition to their parks system. It features a 13 acre spring-fed lake (great for cork fishing!) and a newly constructed hiking trail.

If shopping, dining, and entertainment are important to you as well, you're in luck. Rock Haus Lodge is only 2 miles, 4 minutes to the heart of historic downtown Eureka Springs.

Rock Haus is the perfect setting for exceptional experiences and extraordinary memories.

Our stay at Rock Haus was lovely. The home was charming and very well maintained. It was close to all the activity in Eureka Springs, but removed enough for relaxation once you left the downtown area. The kitchen was my favorite room with its huge windows that looked out on the grounds. One early morning during our visit, the yard was full of grazing deer. I would certainly plan to rent this property again on my next visit to Eureka Springs.

Everything we hoped for and more! The property is gorgeous and we were even lucky enough to get the "snow-covered" view as well. The house was very clean and is well-maintained and the amenity list was right on track. It took us a little bit of adjusting to figure out how to keep things warm without overheating but that is certainly better than being chilly all the time in an older home. Truly away from it all but still so close to the city. We felt alone and remote when we wanted and close to town when we needed it. The house is beautifully and comfortably appointed. The kitchen is great! We cooked breakfast and dinner nearly every meal during our 5 days and never felt like we were really missing any kitchen equipment to get the job done. Four adults and two teenage girls pretty much maxed out the space so I wouldn't recommend for a bigger group, esp with just one shower. One word of warning, we had lots of trips and falls on the steps outside, between thresholds and on the stairs. This is a very old home so there is a lot of uneveness that requires you to pay more attention to the steps. Its not unsafe it just means you need to be pretty aware of where you are walking to avoid a stumble. Despite this, we all loved the Rock Haus and would definitely recommend it to others and we are planning to come back in the future!

This quiet secluded "Cabin" is a Mastepiece for those of us who want to go back in time and marvel at the past. The The Unit has 3 BR & one BA upstairs & one BA downstairs. The Downstairs has a "Daybed" room which is quite large and would have been more comfortable if it had a Queen Bed in it due to the proximity of the Downstairs Bath. The weather was damp & cold but the two Heat Pumps made the whole home warm & toasty. Two deer were always around. The road down to the home is not for the Faint of Heart as it is gravel. This a wonderful "Get-a-Way for privacy. Bill Ernst

We had a wonderful 4 day stay for a sisters' trip. The house and the property surrounding the home was enjoyable. We loved the hike on Oil Springs Trail and around Black Bass Lake. The location was wonderful. We bought trolley tickets and were given parking passes and used that for our days in Eureka Springs. We went horse back riding at the Dinner Bell Ranch and we shopped the town. We each had our own room and the living room was roomy enough for all of us to crash and watch TV. There were no DVD's provided so be sure to bring some with you. We use VRBO all of the time and this is our 6th or 7th house. We could not get over it's personality. Every time we turned around there was another nook filled with fun items. Suzanne had everything in order for us even with our "earlier than expected" arrival.

My son and his family and I spent this past Christmas at Rock Haus. We found the house online and the photos were so beautiful, I was afraid it wouldn't live up to them in person. But no worries!! The house is exactly as advertised. The owners had a Christmas tree and lights up for us. We loved making Christmas dinner and baking in the country kitchen and sitting around the farmhouse table which is bathed in sunshine in the morning! The weather was unusually warm and we hiked in the woods and even enjoyed the deck in the afternoon sun. Shopping, entertainment, gorgeous period houses and architecture, great restaurants . . Eureka Springs is so unique!! If you want to visit a fairy tale town while staying in a fairy tale house, I recommend Rock Haus!

Wow! We had an amazing time during our recent visit. This place is beautiful! I could have spent the entire week on the deck. My children especially loved the wildlife all around us, including our "pet" armadillo. If you are thinking about visiting Eureka Springs, you will be pleasantly surprised if you choose to stay at the Rock Haus.

My husband and I spent our honeymoon at the Rock Haus and it was wonderful. We love the outdoors and wildlife so this house was perfect. It's like being in the wilderness right next to town. We saw so many different animals and had the greatest time exploring the trails around Black Bass Lake. It was so quiet and peaceful. The owner was great and very accommodating. We would love to go back in the winter and see it during that season. We'll see you again! :)

This is the second year my family has stayed at Rock Haus. Once again, we had a great time! The house was immaculate and the owners were very accommodating and helpful. We stayed longer this time so we could spend more time visiting the local attractions. We really enjoyed Quigley House and Blue Springs Heritage Center. The shopping was wonderful. It was great to be able to cook for ourselves at Rock Haus, and spend quiet time together, but we also enjoyed dinner the Bavarian Inn and Local Flavor. Both restaurants were able to accommodate our gluten-free needs. I highly recommend Rock Haus! We hope to visit again soon!

              Owner info

              Year Purchased: 1995

About the owner: Rock Haus was the Kline family home until the fall of '06 when they moved out to prep Rock Haus for rentals beginning in 2007. My daughter, Sigrid (pictured) and son Forrest both live in NYC. Suzanne also works at The Eureka Springs Chamber of Commerce.

Why the Owner Chose Eureka Springs:
The Klines bought Rock Haus as their personal home after searching for nearly three years for something just right. Being so close to town, it was perfect for raising the children near their schools and friends. But . . . the privacy and acreage provided a quiet setting, as if out in the country. The features of Rock Haus were unique, authentic, well-preserved, and unlike any other home in their thorough 3-year quest. Suzanne's picturesque, homestead vision had materialized.

The Unique Benefits at this House:
Situated on 25 acres on a private road, Rock Haus is only 2 miles from the heart of historic downtown Eureka Springs. It is only 1/4 mile easy walk or drive to Black Bass Lake, a city owned park/lake with a newly formed mile long hiking trail around the lake. Rock Haus has one-of-a-kind, original 1800s architectural features that have been extremely well maintained. With the local owners keeping oversite of Rock Haus, cleanliness and guest satisfaction are at the top of the list.
