Delightfully reminiscent of a European chalet, our authentic native limestone cottage is the perfect place to check in and chill out. Experience timeless southern comfort, Ozarks style, at Rock Haus.
The owners have thoroughly restored their rock house - artfully preserving the original character while adding modern conveniences for enjoyable country living in the 21st century.

For a little eco-tourism closer to home, a quarter mile laid-back walk (or drive) along our seasonal rocky-bottom clear water creek will lead you to Black Bass Lake, a 13 acre spring-fed lake great for cork fishing. Hike around the lake on the city's newly constructed trail.
If shopping, dining, and entertainment are important to you as well, you're in luck. Rock Haus Lodge is only 2 miles, 4 minutes to the heart of historic downtown Eureka Springs.

Why the Owner Chose Eureka Springs
The Klines bought Rock Haus as their personal home after searching for nearly three years for something just right. Being so close to town, it was perfect for raising the children near their schools and friends. But . . . the privacy and acreage provided a quiet setting, as if out in the country. The features of Rock Haus were unique, authentic, well-preserved, and unlike any other home in their thorough 3-year quest. Suzanne's picturesque, homestead vision had materialized.
The Unique Benefits at this Home
Situated on 230 acres on a private road, Rock Haus is only 2 miles from the heart of historic downtown Eureka Springs. It is only 1/4 mile easy walk or drive to Black Bass Lake, a city owned park/lake with a newly formed mile long hiking trail around the lake. Rock Haus has one-of-a-kind, original 1800s architectural features that have been extremely well maintained. With the local owners keeping oversite of Rock Haus, cleanliness and guest satisfaction are at the top of the list.
Owner's Map of Eureka Springs
Leaving Louisiana in 1992 Kevin and Suzanne settled in Rock Haus in 1995, making a home to raise their children, Sigrid and Forrest. The Klines lived in Rock Haus until the fall of '06 when they moved out to prep Rock Haus for rentals beginning in 2007. Sigrid attends the Culinary Institute of America in NY and Forrest hasn't decided upon his life's calling after living in Maui for nearly a year. Suzanne will be taking her 17 year Eureka shop, Honeysuckle Rose, online soon.

Dearest Suzanne & Kevin, When we sold this homeplace to you awesome people, we had no way of knowing that through your goodness, it would continue to be a blessing to our family. Memories and joyful emotions flooded into our hearts when we first set foot into the house. Our family dinners replayed decades of a loving family's years here. Each season was rich. And so we offer our heartfelt thanks and appreciation to you. We know we'll be back, and that brings such a warm, ardent feeling. The kids love feeling grounded to their childhood, and it is amazing to see our grandchildren romp and roam in the same nooks and crannies and over the aged, timeless hills and mountains! Thank you so much! With our love.

Thank you for sharing your home with us! We had a wonderful and relaxing time - it was just what we needed. You have put your heart and soul into this house, which makes it a home. The artisan craftmanship is beautiful and your decor is fabulous. We enjoyed it all from the hikes, fishing, reading in the twin nook, shopping in town to quiet evenings on the deck beneath the stars. Your quilts are so beautiful, we bought two at your store to take back home with us! We'll be back and definitely tell all our friends about the wonderful treasure - Rock Haus Lodge!

Wow, what a wonderful, relaxing stay. The boys enjoyed the breakfasts with butterflies, long hikes in the rock-bottom creek bed, and the stars on the back deck. We also enjoyed the fishing lake nearby. We can't wait to come back, and are already thinking about the next visit! The may 'stuffed animals' (taxidermy) in the family room are perfect for those late night camping stories by flashlight!

Wow! What an awesome family time we shared here! Thanks for the privacy; it was so nice to be out here alone with the kids! We had Gracie's 1st birthday party here. It was awesome! The ability to fit all of us together at one table for meals was especially nice! It was a great Parrish family bonding experience! We're calling you next month to book a week in the summer. Thanks and Blessings
