  What a great day 10 days we had at Casa Mimosa! As everyone says, the outdoor area is THE best. It truly made our trip as we spent most of our time outside enjoying the pool & beach. We loved how the pool could accommodate ALL ages. If you're hot, but want to relax and read, you can put a chair in the water. It was truly perfect. The view to the ocean is indescribable. The only reason why I did not rate "excellent" is because of the interior of the house. The layout is good with children, but the furniture could really use some updating. We traveled as a group of 10 including four children & six adults ranging from 28 yrs old to 58 yrs old. Having traveled quite a bit we were a little & stayed at beautiful places, we were disappointed with some of the interior furnishings - found it hard to sit on the couches as they looked quite old and had a lot of stains. For the amount of money, maybe those things could be updated. Along w/the bed sheets etc. A few had stains and again, just seemed a bit old. We had A LOT of ants in the beginning until Gaspar sprayed something. They ate through our food and were found in beds. We also had a scorpion, a crab in the pool, some geckos in the house! And, a few cockroaches in the kitchen! But, I guess this is to be expected in a tropical destination. Gaspar cooked us a great fajita meal. He was wonderful, but had to warm up in the beginning. We felt like we had to ask for a lot of stuff that he did not give us right away - beach toys for the kids etc. But, after a few days we figured him out and all really enjoyed having him around. He was great. He helped arrange our taxis and golf carts which we rented while we were there. They are pricey, but worth it as the house is a drive from the downtown area. This can be a good thing because it's nice to get away from it all and have some privacy & quiet. It was really a wonderful trip & Mim, the owner, was extremely helpful during our planning answering our zillion questions :)

  Thank you for allowing our family to use your home. It worked perfectly for us and was a major factor in our family having a wonderful reunion. The layout of the house allowed people to continue sleeping even when the little ones were up at their usual early hour. The kitchen supplies in the poolside area and the covering of that area effectively increased the living space. We spent hours using the volleyball court every day. The kayaks were a nice addition. We enjoyed many areas of the island. Gaspar told of a small sandy strip of the Caribbean side where the kids spent a lot of time jumping and boogey boarding in the waves. Every day we had an outing for a few hours and then spent the rest of the time on your property. Our family is spread out between Vancouver, Wisconsin, and Texas. We try to maintain our bonds. Thank you again for providing the base for our family to have a great time together.

  Reviewed November 25, 2012 for a stay in November 2012 We are a family of 12; 4 adults and 8 kids ranging from 4 to 15 years of age. Casa Mimosa was wonderful. The house is huge, beautiful and very clean. The pool and private beach are sweet, we spent all of our time in the pool and playing volleyball. This house is worth every penny and you will not regret staying at Casa Mimosa. The owners were very helpful in planning our trip and they respond to all e-mails very promptly. We can't wait to visit again. Casa Mimosa is the place to stay in Isla Mujeres. They even have the NFL Network so you won't miss one football game!

  We were a group of 10 (5 couples, all of us in our mid 30's) looking for a place to have "the best vacation ever...in 2012" and Casa Mimosa did not disappoint. The owner was very helpful before our trip and always prompt in replying to emails. The palapa was where we figured we would be spending a lot of time and it was perfect. The pool is great, had some excellent beach volleyball matches, the sunsets were incredible and Gaspar (the gatekeeper) was extremely helpful. He made us excellent fajitas, cooked up our catch from deep sea fishing and provided us with recommendations on places to eat and visit on the island. We are hoping to get the group back together for "the best vacation ever...in 2014" and would definitely spend another week at Casa Mimosa.

  My entire family, children, grandchildren, step-children spent a wonderful week at Casa Mimosa. Many kept repeating "it's just like the pictures". How many times have you seen pictures and then arrived and it's not quite the same. Case Mimosa is the same but even better!!! From the perfect, kid friendly pool to the private room with bath for each family we loved every inch of this house. I'm not sure what else I can say except that it's perfect in every way and I would be willing to tell the world what a great rental place this is. My interactions with the owner and gatekeeper were perfect and always helpful. Thanks to all for the best family trip ever.

  Our group of nine spent a fantastic week at Casa Mimosa. Before arriving the owners provided us prompt responses to all our questions. The property is in fine shape and everything was as advertised. Gaspar cooked for us upon arrival, great fajitas with all the fixings, and we cooked ourselves several times at the villa. The beach was awesome and the grounds were in great condition. Gaspar provided assistance with everything we needed while there including golf cart rental, stocking the fridge, excursions and more...he's awesome. The island has lots to do, nice restaurants and much more. The people are very friendly and you feel safe at all times. We recommend the Soggy Peso, say hello to Freddy, and Komo restaurants. Most of our time was spent at Casa Mimosa swimming, relaxing and taking in the Mexican sun. The pool area is where the action is and has everything you need including fantastic privacy. This villa has everything you need, you probably won't want to venture out for long. Thanks for allowing us to stay, we will be back!

  We stayed a week with a party of 16 that inluded 5 kids 7 & under. The location was perfect, right on the beach, beautiful sunsets. We really enjoyed the outdoor palapa, it was where we spent a majority of our time together. Gaspar and Fatima were great, we enlisted their services for most meals throughout the week. Our excursions included snorkeling-awesome and a golf cart ride around the island-a must!! Riding around the island we checked out many other island rentals and I we came to the conclusion that Casa Mimosa was about as good as it gets.

  Casa Mimosa is the ultimate vacation destination. The house is spacious, clean and comfortable and has every possible amenity. The pool and surrounding area are beautiful, as is the beach, which is just a few steps away. We very much enjoyed our stay there and would recommend Casa Mimosa to anyone who is looking for a holiday in a warm, relaxing place.

  I have had the pleasure of visiting Isla Mujeres and the privilege of staying at Casa Mimosa two times in the last four years. And I can't wait to return. I must honestly say, the listing description and photos don't do the villa justice. Casa Mimosa exceeds all expectations. It is luxurious, yet comfortable and relaxing. It is on the quieter end of Isla but only a sort ride to town. The caretakers can't do enough for you and the owners are easy to work with and extremely helpful. Casa Mimosa is a very special place on a very special island.

  We have stayed here several times and, hopefully, will return in the near future. The home is extremely well-equipped and the ambiance is exactly what you want in a Mexican getaway. The pool area is perfect for lounging, sipping margaritas, playing cards or dancing. The owners are extremely helpful and the caretakers are available to shop, cook or just answer questions. We love the town of Isla with its offerings of good restaurants and shopping. For us and our friends, this rental has always exceeded our expectations - we have relaxed, enjoyed the sun and each other in a comfortable environment. We recommend this rental to anyone considering a vacation in Mexico.
