HORSES! HORSES! Need something different? Need Peace and Quiet? We have it. This is the "Farm House" you'll see why when you look out the window and see the red barn, horses and goat grazing in the back yard. IF YOU WANT TO BRING YOUR HORSES - WELCOME! IF YOU ARE AN EXPERIENCED HORSE RIDER YOU CAN RIDE OUR HORSES!
Inside, each room is eloquently decorated in an "old Farm House" fashion! In the master bedroom you will find a king size bed, TV, and a large jacuzzi tub, shower with double sinks in the master bathroom. There is a queen size bed and two double beds in the two other remaining up stair bedrooms. In the middle of the two bedrooms is a large bathroom. Downstairs is the kitchen, dining room with two glass slider doors for optimum view of the horses and creek. A large laundry room, living room and TV sitting room. Most people enjoy the downstairs as the children can be in the sitting room doing what they want to do and the parents in the living room or kitchen.
The sitting room has French doors that can be closed off for a private bedroom with the large sofa (that makes into a double bed) and a love seat. There is also a full bathroom in the sitting room.
A wrap around porch on the front porch and side is wonderful to sit in the rocking chairs. On the back porch is a gas grill with a wrought iron table and chairs to eat outside while enjoying the sound of the creek in the backyard and watching the horses. The back yard has a picnic table and a fire pit where you can cook marshmallows or smores.
If you like nature and enjoy the peacefulness of being in the country away from the fast city life, this house is for you! When you look out the windows you see nature at its best with trees all around, a creek surrounds the property and horses will come through the back yard walking or running to the next pasture. Kids love it! The cabin is located on 10 acres of land, you can hike around the property. You don't have to worry about the cabin hanging off a cliff or being terrified of steep mountainous roads. There is a front and back yard for the kids to play. The house is about 2300 square feet. There are 3 TV's, 2 DVD and a Stereo system in the cabin.
It is located about five miles from the entrance of the Smoky Mountains in beautiful Wears Valley, 10 miles from Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg! Prices are inclusive of taxes and cleaning cost. No hidden cost. Check out our website for complete pictures of the house and surrounding area or email me.

Why the Owner Chose Wears Valley
We chose Wears Valley to retire from the hectic life of the city. We went from City Slickers to Green Acres (TV show) with some of the same experiences, but we love the change.
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin
Its wonderful to look 360 degrees around the house, see and hear nothing but nature and watch the animals grazing. Its SO RELAXING! No one around, no cabins to look at, kids and pets can run around in the front and back yard without worry.
The National Park is only 5 minutes away. Take Lyons Spring road and it will dead end into the Park. Take this same road to go to Gatlinburg through the Park about 12 miles
At 321 turn left and it is only 10 miles to the heart of Pigeon Forge (light 3). Turn left at 321 and you can be in Townsend (5 miles) in 10 minutes.

We really had a good time at The Farm. The cake that was waiting for us was great. We really enjoyed all the animals eating behind the house , even though our boxer wasn't sure she liked them. The horses and goat loved the carrots we fed them. We had our family of 18 over for Thanksgiving lunch and had plenty of room for everyone. The location is secluded but it only takes about 15 minutes to get to Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg on the short cuts. The list of restaurants and back roads was so helpful and kept us out of all the busy roads. We went to Cades Cove and saw lots of deer, turkey and a bear. The only bad part was having to leave and come home. Thanks for sharing your great getaway with us
Owner response:You are so very welcome. Glad everyone enjoyed it! Hope to see you back soon. Take care and tell everyone hello - give the baby a hug from us!

Thanks so much for letting us stay at your beautiful home. My family had plenty of room. It was so accessable to Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg and Cades Cove. When we arrived Pam had the lamp on and music playing. She even baked a sweet treat for us, and we enjoyed every bite. Fell in love with the horses, ducks, dog and goat. We liked to feed them every morning. We are already planning next year and a longer visit. This was one of the best places we have ever stayed.....
Owner response:Glad you had a good time. The animals miss you and their morning feeding! :) They are fat and sazzy! Hope to see you again.

Let me start by saying I ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND this property as a vacation spot! The house is large and well-kept. The owners are fantastic. The animals are great. The location is perfect. We stumbled upon vbro.com by accident while looking for places to stay in Tennessee and I am so glad we did! The owners are exceptionally nice people and they have thought of absolutely everything you could possibly want or need and provided it in the farm house. It's the small things that make it feel like you're at home, only better (because it's home away from home)! There are tons of things to do nearby; Smokies, Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. No excuses about not being able to find anything to do! Of course, too, you can always just hang around the farm and relax on the porch, sit at the picnic table beside the creek or pet the animals! Don't forget the carrots though ? I just wish I'd found this place sooner so I could've made a longer reservation! If I ever get to go back to the Smokies, this will be my first stop!
Owner response:Glad you had a good time. We try to make it "home away from home". I remember when we use to rent cabins - there was no toilet paper, paper towels, very few kitchen utensils, few towels, etc. . I said I would never do that if we had a cabin. So, I am holding to my promise. All you have to do is walk in - bring food, family and friends! Everything else is there.

Thank you, Pam and German for sharing this lovely Farmhouse in such a peaceful part of the Smokies!!! The little extras you do means the most! The Farmhouse is roomy and has everything you need~! LOVE the jacuzzi tub!! The property is wonderful with all the farm animals that come right up close around the Farmhouse! Addie enjoyed everything as well! :)Thanks again for a memorable trip and we plan to come next year! Joe and Julie
Owner response:So glad you enjoyed your stay. Its so nice to get away from the hectic part of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg and relax after fighting the traffic and people. You can have your own private showing of the animals as they interact with each other while you cook outside on the grill. We can't wait to have you back next year!! Pam and German

Another great Summer trip to the Farm House. So relaxing and the friendship and hospitality of the owners and neighbors is remarkable. The weather and location are terrific especially after leaving hot Texas. We hope the animals are not waiting at the back fence for their evening snacks. We miss them terribly. Hope to see you at Christmastime. Thanks for everything!!!!!!

This place is so great! Our family comes up here each summer to get away from Texas heat and have been here the last few years to spend the summer. Have been the last 3 years and stayed for 10 days. I have 2 teenagers and they love all the stuff to do here. Great place to go. Didn't get over 90 degrees each day we there and was over 100 degrees at home. It is very relaxing to just sit on front porch swing or hang out on back deck watching animals beg for food at the fence. Skinny isn't so skinny anymore. Missed Pam and German this trip but looking forward to seeing you next year. Pam, I guess we will have to let you know which week we are coming so we maybe we can enjoy some of your delicious desserts you make, never seems to be any left by the time we get there. The cabin has a great location located within minutes to area attractions but far enough away from the hustle and bustle of main traffic on strip. As I said looking forward to next year....see ya soon.
Owner response:HI Kathryn So sorry we missed you on your visit - we were on vacation as well. You will have to let me know when your coming next year so I can make you a dessert. We love having your family here. You mom is teaching me to can fresh vegetables! All part of being in east TN and enjoying the laid back atmosphere! Hope to see the "Summer People" next year Pam and German

Loved it Once Again!

Again, we loved it. We left with sobbing children that wanted to stay. Plenty of room, convenient to the National Park- All the conveniences of home but a whole lot more relaxing. My one complaint would be the brownies. Someone, and I won't name names, went for double and triple servings leaving smaller portions for the rest of us. The boys are big enough now to do the bootie scoot down the stairs. They loved that. They swam in the massive tub and the king bed was big enough for all the boys to climb in and share with nina and paw paw. Needless to say the horses and animals are a big hit and we now have our own Pyrenees after our last visit to the farm. The boys wanted to name him Blancote as well but we figured he was one of a kind so we settled on Bear as a fitting tribute. We've stayed in a lot of cabins/homes in the Smokies, but for a family and a family with children, this is hands down the place to be. It has the room, the amenities, the conveniences and the location to set it apart from the rest. Thanks so much for allowing us to stay in your home.
Owner response:SO HAPPY - you enjoyed your stay again. Our biggest compliements are those who come back and refer us to others. Hope to see you next year!

We stayed for a week at the farmhouse in April. The house was clean, homey and very well stocked. We had 4 adults in our party and found everything we could ask for. There were games and movies for evenings. We also enjoyed the back deck and had all but 2 meals outside listening to the creek and watching the horses. The owners were very easy to work with and treated us like new found friends. When we arrived we found a tray of homemade cupcakes and an assortment of maps, brochures and other useful tidbits to help us plan our days adventures. The location is perfect. The park is less than a 15 minute drive. We hiked to Laurel Falls and Grotto Falls in the park and drove the loop at Cades Cove 3 times. This is a must. We saw bears, wild turkeys and white tailed deer everytime we drove the loop. We played tourist in Gatlinburg one day (20-25 minute drive) and drove through Pigeon Forge (15 minute drive) and looked at the attractions there. Townsend is only 7 minutes down the road and although it was too cold to go tubing when we were there, we could see several places that provided shuttles on the river for tubing. We took Pam and German's advice and ate dinner at Happy Jacks BBQ. Excellent ribs and very reasonable. We also took their advice and went to Honeysuckle Rose for souvenirs. Very cute shop. Kids will love the farmhouse. There are horses, a goat named Skinny, chickens, ducks, an elusive barn cat and the star... Blancody the resident stock dog. The pictures of the house actually do not do it justice. I would recommend the farmhouse to anyone considering a visit to the area.
Owner response:Thank you Jean and Ron for the review. We are so pleased you had a great time and the weather wasn't bad either! It was a pleasure to meet you and your family. If you come back in the future we hope you remember the Farm House.

What is not to love about the Farm House! From the moment you pull up you see all of the animals waiting to greet you. When you open the front door it is like something out of Country Living!! The house is decorated beautifully and the amenities are above and beyond! From the cupcakes left for our arrival to the mud boots for everyone there was nothing left out! The kids thoroughly enjoyed getting to know the animals and being able to help feed and ride the horses. I can't thank you enough for taking the time and having the patience to let the kids ride. The kids loved the animals, the tire swing, making smores over the fire pit and sitting in front of the fireplace inside as we played Apples to Apples. There is plenty to do know matter what the weather. We hiked the Smokey Mountains in search of waterfalls (I suggest you skip Rainbow falls, it was a 5 hr hike round trip in very steep areas and a disappointing waterfall), went white water rafting, fishing, shopping, stayed inside and played games and the entire family enjoyed Wonderworks. Our kids ( ages 14 and 10) have never gotten along so well in years! This was definately the best vacation our family has ever taken! We are looking forward to another stay at the Farm House in the near future. Thank you again Pam and German for a wonderful visit.
