Welcome to Bear Paw Lodge! This cabin is our home away from home and we hope it can be yours too.
What we LOVE about it:
-Rocking on the private wrap around deck while the sun sets over the mountain
-The smell of the thick cut pine wood as you walk into this Authentic Chinking Log Cabin just like the settlers had
-How close it is to EVERYTHING:
2.7 Miles to Pigeon Forge Pkwy (Where all the attractions/restaurants are)
8.0 Miles to Dollywood (She speaks for herself, no intro needed here)
2.7 Miles to The Island (Big Ferris Wheel, Shops, Paula Dean's Restaurant)
9.5 Miles to Gatlinburg (Ripley's Aquarium, downtown shopping and attractions)
1.0 Mile to Alpine Coaster (Either Goats on a roof or Alpine Coaster are close by)
27 Miles to Cades Cove (Historic park in the Smokies-bear sightings are common, deer sightings are almost guaranteed)

- Technology: Apple TV (tons of movies, Netflix, ESPN), Cable TV, Electronic Key Pad Door Lock with a personalized code
- Sleeps 8: 2 BR's upstairs (1 Queen, 1 Double), Queen Sleeper Sofa, 1 BR downstairs with a private Jacuzzi bath (Queen)
- Private Hot Tub on Deck
- Full spacious kitchen (Did I mention we have a Keurig?) We provide you a few K cups to get you started

We recently purchased this cabin for vacations/getaways and have done a ton of work to make it a great place to stay. All new interior doors, driveway, furniture, faucets, bathroom fixtures and accessories (you'll love the hanging bear towel rack in downstairs bathroom), painted, pressure washed and stained the deck, cut trees to improve the view and general maintenance. I tell you this so that you know we are involved owners that really want you and your family to enjoy your time in the Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg area as much as we do. We want you to come back year after year because it feels like home.
Most cabins are just investments and don't have that personal touch. This is different. We want and welcome your feedback so that we can make this the best experience possible for you and our future guests.

We had an awesome time & the cabin was a huge part of why that was so! We (my husband and I) have 12 grandkids. One of them is 6 going on 7 & he's one of the world's greatest Titanic fans. He and his Mom (our daughter) found out there's a Titanic Museum in Pigeon Forge & we made plans months ago to take Cayden (& his Mom and 4- & 2-year-old sisters) there to see it. Cayden is severely asthmatic, so pollen, dust, mold, etc can have severe consequences -- including ER trips. We searched for cabins in the area so we could all stay in one house. Our daughter and her girls took 1 of Bear Paw's 3 BR's on the Kitchen/LR level of the cabin & Cayden got his own room beside theirs. My husband & I took the more private BR/BA suite on the lower level. We reached out to the owners between the time we booked and the start of our trip to fill them in on Cayden's situation & the house was SPOTLESS when we got there. The kids had a great time playing pool & ping pong. We ate meals there, drank coffee (bring your own k-cups, sugar and creamer), & truly had a great time. The location was awesome -- only minutes from the museum, from a Diner where he had a great late night breakfast (and peach cobbler!) when we got to Pigeon Forge ("Mel's Diner"), and from "The Island" where we ate ice cream & sampled & bought moonshine (Old Smokey's Distillery), and from the Smoky Mountain Alpine Coaster (super fun!). Cabin is only 45 min's from Smoky Mtn Natl Park, too. 6 stars out of 5 in our book!

Nice Cabin close to the strip

We stayed here for spring Rod Run. Group of adults. Place was nice and we enjoyed the pool table and hot tub. Upstairs was clean but the downstairs room and bathroom could use a better clean (cobwebs & shower surround). I would recommend.

Quick Family Trip

It was a quaint spot. The rooms had enough space and were clean. There were ample spaces for quick naps and since it rained. But while we were there it was nice to still be able to sit on the covered porch and enjoy it. We had fun playing ping pong and pool during those times too. Overall a great place for the cost and close to attractions.

Dirty with no amenities available

Dusty cabin, bathroom curtain is full of mold, Hot tub has issues, chimney is out of order, there were no bed sheets on one of the rooms. Instead there were dirty bedsheets under the bed. When contacting the host to correct issues, he barely did anything. He only sent laundry detergent to wash the dirty sheets for him. Go prepared with all basic necessities. The cabin does not carry any, such as sponge to wash dishes, shampoo, soap, laundry detergent, trash bag, etc.

Cabin near the mountains

The stay at the cabin was good, with a nice location near shops and attractions. However, the cleanliness of the cabin was a concern. The area around the air ducts, filters, fans, and  under the sofas and beds were VERY dusty

So much to do!

The cabin was seasonally decorated for Christmas, adding details to the charm of the visit. We used all the games, the beautiful tub and the best part … the hot tub! Excellent, convenient location.

The communication and check in process was a breeze! The cabin was very cozy and. Christmas-y! The tree was absolutely beautiful. My family and I loved it! In a peaceful neighborhood but yet close to town. The owners were so quick at answering my questions, even months prior to the stay!

Perfect, clean easy communications with host. Only compliant is the front porch pictures of the mountain views was slightly deceptive, but honestly the cleanliness of the house abd lication made up for it. Would stay here again for sure

Girls weekend attending a wedding.

Arrived on Thursday evening with easy-to-follow check in instructions. Everyone was highly pleased with the bedrooms and common areas. Especially enjoyed the hot tub and pool table. Each bedroom having a television was also very nice. Very close to restaurants and shopping yet felt private and out of the mainstream. Highly recommend this property.

Great getaway spot

We were impressed by the facility and its eminities, closeness to local attractions was very nice. Neighbors were friendly. Accommodations were very well taken care of and everything worked as it should. Hot tub was awesome and worked very well. The downstairs TV didn't work for us but we weren't there to watch TV, LOL

It is a very beautiful cabin with things to do. Hot tub, pool table and ping pong and other games. Clean, spacious and everything you need to cook with if you choose that route. The washer and dryer was a plus. Just bring some extra towels and wash rags if you have several staying.Nice quiet location and friendly people across the street.

Over all, a great time. Location was great. Pretty much in the middle of everything we wanted to do. Accommodations were great. Everything we needed was available. I, personally enjoyed the hot tub.

Bear Paw Cabin is unbelievable. The photos can’t possibly do it justice. This place is immaculate, and the hosts are very kind and easy to work with when booking, checking in, checking out. A+ for communication and responsiveness. It’s tucked right into the side of the mountains. Your view looking up to it from street level will blow you away. Stone and log cabin, complete with every comfort of home, and then more. Incredible peace and quiet. On top of all that, you’re so close to SO many excellent activities for a wide range of interest. There’s something for everyone right there in the Smoky Mountains.

Great Location

I would definitely say it is a great location! We enjoyed quick drives everywhere. The Cabin was quite and peaceful. The kids loved the Pool Table and Jacuzzi. The owners were very quick to answer any questions. I enjoyed that we were not on the main strip. The cabin was clean and the down stairs bed was very comfortable! We both have bad backs but it was awesome. We were very impressed with our stay and it made our vacation all the more great! My daughter was proposed to on the front porch so it will definitely hold a special place in our family. Thank you for such a beautiful place to enjoy our vacation!!
