This family-friendly villa is only a three minute walk from a white sandy beach and a three minute drive from one of the top 25 golf courses in Europe. It's located in the Peninsula of Troia, in the Alentejo Coast (15 minutes by ferry from Setúbal and 40km/25 miles* south of Lisbon airport) in a gated community with 24 hour security and with an excellent climate (micro climate) with plenty of sunshiny days all year round.
The villa is built on a plot of 900 square meters and has its own underwater lit private pool and a large fenced garden with lots of grass, pine trees and bougainvilleas. It has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms(two en-suite): a master bedroom with a double bed, a bedroom with two twin beds and another bedroom with two individual beds one of them being a pull out bed. There is also a baby cot and a sofa bed.
The kitchen is bright, spacious and fully equipped. The living/dining room has a large bay window and four French doors giving access to the pool area. It has a fireplace, a cable/satellite LCD TV (DVD/VCR) and a video games corner (Nintendo Wii etc).There is also a laundry room ( with a washing machine, an iron and an ironing board).

Why the Owner Chose Lisbon
WHY TROIA?
A long, long time ago(about the time Egyptians were building the pyramids) I won a photography contest: the prize for the winner was(besides having the photos printed on a Lisbon newspaper's frontpage) a weekend - all expenses included - in the hotel recently built in the Troia Peninsula.
And that's how I discovered- and fell in love with- Troia.
One day, as I walked along the beach, I remember saying «Wouldn't it be wonderful to have a house here?»
Some years later there was land for sale at Troia, a complex was going to be developed: my ex-husband and I were the very first to buy a plot.
When we divorced I kept the villa and finished building it(back in 2000).
Three/Four years later I decided to rent it in order to be able to keep it.

The villa is located in a peninsula with access from the town of Setubal by modern ferries every 30/40 minutes. Setubal is only 30 km away- by highway -from Lisbon airport.
