What a lovely home! Our group of 3 really enjoyed our stay. It was very scenic being able to see the lake from one side of the house and the Sound from the other side. The beds were comfortable (not always true in rental homes), and the kitchen was very well equipped. We will definitely return!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.
Owner response: Wow, thank you Robin! I'm so glad you and your friends had a great time up there. You're welcome back any time. We're constantly trying to make the house better so each stay should be better than the last.

Island Time is a great place to relax and enjoy some slow time. It's in a small coastal community right on the water with access to the beach, opportunities for walks and a community pool. This house is on the other side of the road (meaning one row back from the beach), but still gets great views of the ocean and the Olympics right from the living room. Some unique distinguishing features: 1. small lake right behind the house plus a row boat to explore the lake (great win with our 3 year old!) 2. bird feeder on the porch attracts lots of bright yellow birds feeding there all day long 3. the owner is a pleasure to deal with - he made the booking process and all communications around the rental very nice and easy The house itself is very nice, clean, unpretentious and has everything you might need. (Listing description was pretty accurate.) Its location halfway along the length of the island also makes it a nice launch pad for exploring all of Whidbey. Coupeville and Ebey's Landing are particularly close. If you go, make sure you take a sunset walk north of this beach house community - there are a series of small ponds right along the beach, with the Olympics right across the water. It's beautiful.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.

My wife and I invited friends and family for her 30th birthday in March of 2011. This place was a great value and was exactly what we were looking for. The fire pit and the large pond just out the back yard was really great. Downtown Coupeville is a bit of a drive, but you could take bike trips to town just the same (we did). The ferry to Port Townsend is a 10 minute walk and is a perfect way to visit other parts of the islands. I recommend the brewery. : ) I'd definitely have no qualms about coming back here.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.
Owner response: Thank you so much for the great review, we really appreciate it and you're more than welcome back any time!

We rented this adorable house for 5 nights. It was our family of 3 and our friend's family of 5, all kids were preteen and teens, and it was terrific! The kids could hang out downstairs, or walk down the road to the pool and playground, or take the boats out, all safely on their own. There was plenty of space to be together and plenty of places to find some alone time here. Coupeville is a great home base to explore the San Juans from. This house is very close to the ferry that takes you to Port Townsend, another lovely town! Our favorite memories are all of us sitting around the bonfire in the backyard after a very fun day and a delicious fresh from the farmer's market dinner!! This house is awesome-comfortable, well stocked and well laid out. The owner was very friendly and helpful and called me personally to make the booking. We definitely had a great vacation here! Kids were happy and we were too!! We will be back!! Sincere thanks-the Cameron familyRecommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, sightseeing.

We stayed over spring break and shared the house with another family and our dogs. The home was very comfortable for all of us. We loved the extra room in the basement for the kids to enjoy their own time, while we enjoyed adult conversation upstairs. We especially enjoyed the little lookout at the top and spent quite a while looking through the binoculars provided! Access to the beach was easy! We want to go back in warmer weather so the kids can enjoy the nearby swimming pool. What a great location!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, pet owners, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.

I've always known that the San Juan Islands were a special place but what I discovered was that little ole Coupville was one of the places that helps create the magic and myth. I stayed at this home 4 times and have always been very satisfied with the experience. Tucked between the Straits of Juan de Fuca and a small lake where the local fowl frollick and call home, the experience and panaramic views make for a great time away. Whether you go to just stroll the rock beaches, bike, kayak or sightsee, this home offers comfort, technology and access to everything Whidbey Island has to offer. As a bonus, Coupeville is a real treat for lovers of good foods with affordable wine lists! The home has 2 large bedrooms up with a very large living area for cooking, lounging or tanning on the back deck. The downstairs has 1 bedroom with 2 bunkbeds for the kids. All rooms are clean and comfortable. It has a nice homey feel. The kitchen is well stocked for those who want to eat in and in the summers, the back deck is a bar-B-que delight!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.
