This place could easily house more than 15 people. We enjoyed the spaciousness and the amenities of this lodge. Great hot tub with a radio attached to it. BBQ grill was working for us. There were at least 4 large TVs with cable in the home. Great rates, and it is not far from horseback riding and Shenandoah Valley National Park. Definitely a place we would consider renting again, especially if you have a few families staying together. Can't beat the rental rates as well. Thanks once again!Did you find this review helpful? This spacious house was great for 14 of us. Knotty pine walls thruout gave the appearance of a mountain lodge. We liked the hot tub, the flat driveway and the 2 car garage. Skiing, snow-tubing and the water park were awesome. We were unable to get the gas fireplace working, and the kitchen lacks a can opener. Other than that, it was perfect.Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing.
Owner response: That darn can opener finally made the break I guess. It's been trying to get out of the lodge for years! Seriously, I will get a replacement. As for that hard to start fireplace...it is an old model and starting it is not intuitive and there is not much we can do about that save replacement. I'm still found of the old crone so it's not getting replaced just yet.

This was an excellent choice for our family reunion. We had our 89 year old mother-in-law with us so the master bedroom on the main level and having a shower seat was great. Our lodge became the meeting place for the rest of the family due to the 12 person dining room table. The property was clean and comfortable. We would rent this lodge again. We had dinner one evening at Romano's Italian Bistro and the food and service was very good. It was very busy and we were glad that we had made reservations.Recommended for: People with disabilities, families with young children, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

My family loved Acorn Lodge. There were plenty of bedrooms for our large family and lots of living space. The kitchen was easy to work in and the hot tub glorious. The only down side was we wished we could have stayed longer. We would definitely rent here again.Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

Our group was on the way back from a Mission Trip to Washington DC. The property was very nice and yes, we would stay there again. Everything we needed was there and more. I would recommend this unit to anyone.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1
