Sea Coral Cottage is designed in traditional Bahamian beach cottage style. Recently fully modernized and refurbished with new contemporary furnishings, it is an ideal luxury beach house. Sleeping a maximum of 6 people, facilities include three bedrooms each with its own bathroom and queen sized double bed, open plan fully equipped kitchen including dishwasher ,fridge/freezer with filtered water dispenser and ice maker, sitting and dining areas, satellite TV, DVD, Hi Fi, VHF radio, Wi Fi internet access, air conditioning, own emergency generator, 3 outside decks (one right on the beach). My husband and I just returned from our 3rd visit to Great Guana and feel we have found the perfect spot for us. It's a charming 3-bedroom house recently renovated with large windows all around taking advantage of the lovely view and especially the breezes. We have not found that in many houses. We had to use the a/c one night during a rain storm and it worked very well. The upstairs bedroom with balcony is a great spot to enjoy your morning coffee or evening cocktail taking in that spectacular view. We enjoyed the large deck overlooking the beach as well as the folding chairs and umbrella for the beach. A covered patio table for dining was nice to have as well. I found everything we needed for the light cooking we did. You can walk to the grocery store, liquor store as well as Nipper's, Grabbers and the marina side snack shop. We enjoyed having a cart to check out the island but it is not needed. In fact, we felt it was faster to walk to Nipper'sthan it was driving the cart. TV had several channels to catch a game or movie. We bought the internet package with Bahama WiFi for $35/week and it worked very well. The laundromat had closed on the island so not having a washer and dryer was a small issue for wet towels and clothes. It's not a negative but just needed to know that ahead of time to bring clothes to wash in the sink instead. We had excellent contact with the owner and also the house keeper, Glenda, went above and beyond for us when our flight delayed us causing us to miss the last ferry to Guana. She's a gem and a testament to the hospitality of the Bahamas! It's the quintessential beach house. I highly recommend it for couples or families wanting to have a little piece of paradise if only for a week.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

My friends and I got to saying "I'm where I wanna be...on Guana Cay". Sea Coral Cottage is all we wanted. It is well provisioned and is a perfect spot to be able to walk to everything. Whether you walk the beach or the road, you get where you want to be. Jerry's Pirates Cove, Nippers, Grabbers all easily accessible. Everything you need is in the cottage and if not, you can call Glenda and she will take care of it for you. She will even grocery shop before you get there. And by the way, the grocery shopping in Guana is about as good as Marsh Harbour so no need to carry everything over. Enjoy~!!!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

The description of the Sea Coral is not only very accurate, but may be understated. It fails to mention the wonderful caretaker, Jenks, that met us at the Ferry dock and guided us in all the right directions to fulfill all our wants and needs. The cottage was also super clean and maintained and the location is perfect for a visit to this friendly, beautiful Cay. Beautiful beach, only a few blocks by our rented Golf Cart to Dive Guana where we rented our boat from Troy and Maria, who are also very friendly and helpful. We rode our Golf Cart all over and looked at many other rentals and decided we had picked the best home and location for the price. Got "nipped" at Nippers on Goombay Smashes, so beware of them. But Christine and staff got us back to our cottage safely...lol... we just love all the staff at Nippers. Staying only a few houses down from Nippers is a plus. Only downside I can think of are the biting insects. Bring plenty of Deet repellent. Can't figure out why there are so many bugs on such a small island with lots of breezes, but they are everywhere. If you want relaxation, good fishing, good party times, great sun tanning and wonderful, friendly people, this is the place to be. Hope I can return to the Sea Coral Cottage soon...Oh, and many, many thanks to Jenks' cute, super wife, Becky. She was great to us when we needed any info about anything and even took us home with her one day to see her beautiful new home. She is a real Doll.Did you find this review helpful? Had a great stay at Sea Coral Cottage. The View from the deck and balcony are fantastic, and the reef just a few feet offshore was easily reached via snorkeling for some great fish watching. The cottage was very clean, nicely furnished, and well stocked with dishes, cups, etc. The additional deck on the edge of the beach was an added and well used bonus as was the charcoal grill. The location of the cottage was convienient to everything we wanted to do e.g. ferry, grocery store, cafe, restaurants and was a 5 minute walk down the beach from Nippers! A/C was in every bedroom and in the living area, although with the nice breeze and moderate temps we rarely needed to use them. If I were to go back to Guana Cay for another vacation I would definately stay in this cottage again without a doubt.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 3/3
