My name is O'Brian and I am born and bred Bajan. Along with my Brother Sheldon we are the proud owners of this cottage. The cottage is named after our mother Barbara. However we have taken our initiative for 'Barbs Cottage" from our father Denzil who has been welcoming guest to this island whilst driving his taxi for the last 50 years.
During your stay either myself, Sheldon or my Dad Denzil is available to you to answer any questions show you the sites or just to say hi at any time.

This property was well-maintained and the owners went out of their way to make us feel at home. We never had to rent a car, because there is a bus stop in front of the property to take you in either direction for $1 U.S. We weren't in an area where there were a lot of tourists, which we liked. If you like to shop and eat where there is high tourist traffic, those places are just a few minutes away by bus. The grocery store was only a 5 minute walk, and there is a city park on the beach within walking distance south with a nice swimming area, and picnic tables. It was a great experience and we would highly recommend Barb's Cottage.
Recommended for:Tourists without a car, sightseeing, age 55+.

We spent a perfect week at the cottage. It was everything the website said, and more. Photos seen here did not do the cottage justice. It was bright and clean and very comforable. We could have lived there for the rest of our lives. The owners were more than friendly and helpful. They made sure our every need was attended to. We would recommend this cottage to everyone, and have told all our friends and others mentioning vacations to consider this property. The bus line was on the corner, a few feet from the cottage. The bus service was excellent. One can get almost anywhere on the island using the bus. We only had the taxi from the airport to the cottage. We picked up a cruise ship when we left and used the bus service to get us to the cruise terminal. A grocery store was two blocks up the street. Although, it was a busy street with minimal sidewalks. However, it was no problem going there. The beach is directly across the street. The only bad thing is that a hotel was erected across from the drive-way, so one cannot view the Caribbean Sea. We even made friends with the beach boys, as we went swimming every morning and evening. We cooked in the cottage and eat on the porch. The weather was perfect, the cottage very comfortable and the Barbados people very friendly. Many welcomed us to Barbados.. Everyone should stay here at least once to really get the feel of Barbados. We even had a monkey walking the fence on the porch. Thanks guys for letting us stay here and we hope to return again some day soon.

We spent February 2011 at Barb's Cottage. The property suited us perfectly-just the right size, and the location was great. Easy access to the beach, the bus service, grocery, restaurants. We especially enjoyed going to Holetown for shopping and restaurants(Angry Annie's, Surfside, TML bar are a few), and there's a great bakery up the coast at Speightstown. The owner and his family were very friendly and readily answered questions and provided much useful information as to places to visit, how to get there, and where to eat. We would recommend this property for a quiet, relaxed vacation. Would definitely stay there again!

We spent three months at this cottage and found it to be as described and were very, very pleased. We found the neighbors very freindly and helpful. Getting to the supermarket or any other shopping was extremely easy with the bus service. We found the owners and their families to be great people and they made us feel very welcome and relaxed. We loved the beach being across the street and spent almost every day there. We would recommend this cottage for anyone who likes their own "home" away from home while on vacation.
