Why the Owner Chose Lake Arrowhead
We love pine trees, mountains, crystal clear lakes and the four seasons. We found all we were looking for when we bought our Lake House 24 years ago (it seems like yesterday.) It is so much like Switzerland in its beauty. Our home is right on the water and the views are amazing from every room, bringing the unique peace and quiet of another time into each room in the house. The drive to Lake Arrowhead from Los Angeles is only 1 1/2 hours - traffic permitting. For years, we’ve been able to spend most weekends at The Lake House giving our family the best of both Los Angeles and Lake Arrowhead as well as many priceless memories.
The Unique Benefits at this House
Our Lake House has easy access from the road and is just steps away from the Lake Arrowhead. There you will find our private dock & boat with a sandy beach near by. The house is nestled in pine trees away from everything. It is so very quiet during the week as well as most weekends. It is a perfect hideaway for a romantic getaway as well as family fun-filled holiday. While we love taking our friends to the Lake House (sometimes never even leaving the property all week-end) you will find that it is the perfect escape when you just want to get away by yourself to repair, relax and ‘find’ yourself. In addition to the unique bedrooms (each one done with its own personality) and the open and comfortable living areas, you’ll find cooking with friends to be the best in our open, gourmet kitchen. To that end, you will find one of the finest grocery stores in California just 10 minutes away in Blue Jay. For anything else you need or want, Lake Arrowhead Village is a 5 minute drive away. The Village is known for its discount shopping, restaurants, and a 5 star spa & gym at The Lake Arrowhead Resort Hotel. If you’re in the mood for a walk, there is path just steps down from our Lake House that will take you for a beautiful 30 minute walk by the lake to the Village where you can rent a boat with a water ski instructor, take a ride around the lake on the Arrowhead Queen. There is snow skiing and sledding only 20 minutes from the home.

My husband and I live in Santa Monica CA and have owned "THE LAKE HOUSE" for over 24 years. Our children were young when we bought the house and they have so many wonderful memories of time spent there. Our children are grown and have moved away and while we would never so much as think about selling The Lake House, we are happy to share this magical spot with other families.

I enjoyed the lake view almost 24/7! The decor and warmth of the Lake House was welcoming from the moment we arrived. My husband and I trekked down to Lake Arrowhead itself, where we did a bit of fishing and dreaming. Everything was than better than we imagined. Great experience was had by the Olson family of Manhattan Beach! Thanks to Cathy for the special touch of a Christmas tree!

This house is absolutely unbelievable! I have rented many many properties as I have a big family and hotel options are not as conducive if traveling with a larger family/group. We spent Thanksgiving here, and the house is so well laid out and equipped with anything and everything and we cooked a FULL Thanksgiving dinner. The layout is perfect for families with many spaces for dining both in and out, and for relaxing in a beautiful atmosphere with gorgeous views. It's location is fantastic, close to the Village and shopping/dining but you really won't want to ever leave the house! I will be returning here again and again, and would highly recommend this property to anyone as there are no negatives. Cathy the owner was extremely organized, helpful and flexible - and wanted to make sure we had a great experience in her home. The property is newly renovated, everything seemed brand new with very high quality furnishings and amenities- much better than expected and even better than the beautiful pictures. Whether you are here in the colder months or warmer months, it's a great vacation home that is a tremendous value for the price.

We rented this home for a special birthday celebration for my husband over Memorial Day weekend. The details in the home are absolutely beautiful. The rooms were so nicely decorated, the view was amazing and the dock and boat were such a nice addition. We loved watching and listening to the birds, taking walks around the lake and enjoying the view from the patio. We'll definitely be returning. The designer home has lots of amenities including a wonderful kitchen and lovely hand soap and lotions in each bathroom. It was a really peaceful getaway.

What an extraordinary retreat! Such a comfortable and inviting, yet finely appointed home. The views are breathtaking and unparalleled - there was snow everywhere, and an expansive view of the lake from every window in the family room (and most bedrooms). Cozy fireplace, more puzzles and games than you could imagine, an incredibly well-outfitted and high-end gourmet kitchen, comfortable family room with flat screen and DVR, beautiful bathrooms, great furniture pieces, and wonderful bedrooms. Very clean, very well-maintained. Owner is lovely and very responsive. Highly recommended! (Although not so highly that you book and compete for our time at this magical place). ;)

Thank you...thank you..thank you for opening up your BEAUTIFUL lake house! We had a wonderful time in your cozy home. Your home is so well laid out and beautifully decorated! We were taken back with the lovely view of the lake. We also experienced every type of weather....rain, wind, fog, snow, cloudy skies, and sun. Love the selection of puzzles.
