Dreamland is far more than just a place to stay. It's a special place; you'll know it the instant you pull into the driveway.
Check the calendar below and make plans to run to the mountains for a couple of days. You'll be refreshed, renewed, rejuvenated and ready to return to your regularly scheduled activities. People LOVE the beds here - some have said it's the best sleep they've had in years. Read what others say about Dreamland:
'In addition to the beautiful cabin & location... it really speaks volumes to see how much you and your family care for them. There is something about being part of the Country Ridge community that calls to me- I can't explain it!
' Dreamland made you do just that - dream of quiet and wonderful times together.'
' Thanks for making our anniversary the best one yet!'
' We didn't want to leave. We have already decided this is THE place for us when we come back in the fall.'
' Everything was so clean.'
' We loved the upstairs balcony. We were in our own deluxe treehouse. '
_________________________________________________________________
Tucked tightly into the mountain, DREAMLAND's upper and lower balconies spill out into the trees and offer some of the best tools for dreaming up just about anything: a bubbling hot tub, rockers, a hanging swing, and private views of the surrounding hills and wooded mountains.
__________________________________________________________________
IN THE RIGHT SETTING, YOU CAN JUST ABOUT FORGET ALL OF YOUR WORRIES
DREAMLAND is one of three exclusive cabins in the Country Ridge Cabin Community - each nestled in its own nook on a private mountain 1200 feet in elevation. Just four miles from Pigeon Forge, this mountain retreat provides everything you need to slow down. We believe that the hurried pace you are accustomed to should be rewarded with a place to retreat for optimum peace. Here, you'll find many places to slow down.
The deep porches are made for rocking, the hot tubs know all about tired muscles, the balcony swing make a book read better, and steak from the grill just tastes better up here. Country Ridge began with the mountains - mountains noted for their lazy blue smoke and wilderness sanctuary. That's why afternoon naps come naturally here. The day is all yours.
DOING NOTHING IS A LEGITIMATE ACTIVITY
There's so much to do here. Explore the mountain and picnic on Country Ridge's six private acres, photograph nature, or pitch horseshoes with your family and friends. Famous mountain activities surround you in every direction. Nearby, you will find fishing, hiking, horseback riding, golfing, boating, wildlife viewing, theater, and a million and one other things. There's no end to the opportunities that await you, although we believe that the best thing to do at DREAMLAND is NOTHING at all.
TAKE THE BACK ROADS
Stray off the Parkway. The untold beauty of the Smokies is on her back roads. Surprise beckons around every bend in the locally traveled scenic side streets. Pull over for cider and a bag of boiled peanuts. Stop at the river and look for trout. Hop out and see where that nature trail leads. Be curious.
After all, you are on vacation. Is there really anywhere that you HAVE to be? It was on these beautiful back roads that we found the perfect mountain for Country Ridge and DREAMLAND – your home in the Smokies. It’s an experience, not just a place to stay. Slow down. Savor your life.
UT VOLS FANS: What could be better than attending the (winning!) game in Knoxville and returning to your mountain hideout in the Smokies? We are approximately 30 minutes from the stadium with easy access via Chapman Highway. Go VOLS!
To help with planning - Bedroom layouts are:
Downstairs Bedroom: King Bedroom with adjoining hallway bathroom
Upstairs Bedroom: King Bedroom with attached bathroom and private balcony with swing
Family Room Bed: Queen Sofa Sleeper by the fireplace with adjoining hallway bathroom
***DREAMLAND is a sister cabin to SUGAR PLUM(www.VRBO.com/22749) and HOLLY BERRY(www.VRBO.com/28882). Each cabin has two acres, yet they are close to one another. The easy stroll between the cabins makes Country Ridge a perfect location for large and extended families, senior staff members, executives, and church leaders looking for a special place to get together.

LOVED the appearance of the cabin and feel of the place- it was perfect! HATED that the place had sulfur water, which makes the whole place smell like sewage. No one told us about this, and even running the water for 10+ minutes, the smell did not subside. HATED that the hot tub was not working. It wouldn't get over 92 degrees, even after the maintenance man, Hollis, came out to fix it. This was THE one thing that I looked forward to the most, and it was ruined. We booked this cabin through our time cabin rental s online. Our contact was a woman named Barbara, that Hollis nor Miranda seemed to know.. She sent us the wrong directions and we drove around for 1.5hrs trying to figure out where we were supposed to be going. I called all the numbers she listed, and no one answered. Finally, I came across Hollis's number listed in one of the emails as the maintenance man. Thank goodness he got us to where we needed to go (very nice man!). You may want to talk to the "our time cabin" associates about their lack of availability when needed. I've also sent them a lengthy email and they have not responded. Overall experience was not good since we just wanted to relax in a hottub and smell fresh air (not sulfur). We were so sad that the one weekend we've been able to go somewhere since 2008 did not meet our expectations, and that my mother-in-law wasted her money on this place. With all of this said, if you don't care for fresh, clean smelling water, or have no interest in the hottub, then this place is perfect. I truly did love the actual cabin, just not all the technical problems.Owner response: I am sorry that your experience at Dreamland was not what you'd hoped, but since you didn't rent from me I had no way of knowing about it until the end of your visit. "Our Time Cabin Rentals," a third party company that I know nothing about, rented our cabin to you and evidently didn't provide you with the service that we pride ourselves on giving to our guests. I'm sorry that you were lost for so long, but those directions were provided by this other company. We send excellent driving directions that get you right to the cabin door. The negative comments and the trouble that you had with directions had nothing to do with us or our excellent service that we give to all of our guests. If I'd known you needed assistance getting to our cabin, I would have been happy to help you. My daddy, Hollis, is our maintenance man, as you said, and he came to your assistance with the hot tub when you called. You didn't let me know you were having any trouble at all until the last evening of your stay, so I was unable to make your stay all that you'd hoped for. It is true that we have sulfur water and occasionally the smell is strong. We are currently working on a solution to this problem and hope that you will give us another opportunity to show you what a wonderful time you can have when you stay in Dreamland.

Owners very good about returning e-mails, worked with us. Cabin is in a beautiful spot on the mountain. The distance between Dreamland & Sugar Plum is closer than I anticipated them to be, they are really close to one another. The hot tub did not work, however I did not contact the owner, in all fairness to them until after Christmas. I just figured since it was Christmas Eve and Christmas Day that no one would be available to fix it. I had saw comments about it not working, but really expected it to be fixed, temperature did not get above 92 degrees. So I would double check if you plan on using it. Cabin itself was really nice, beds were comfortable, kitchen had most things you would need. Think you would need a 4 wheel drive to get up there is roads were iced as road is steep but it has a beautiful view and for the price you can't beat it.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, girls getaway.
Owner response: I'm sorry that you had trouble with our hot tub. We are taking care of it and working to be sure that there isn't a problem with it for the future. I'm so glad that you enjoyed our cabin and hope you'll come again. We don't usually have any trouble with the ice/snow and it's beautiful with the snow around.

This sits on some beautiful land and is secluded for the most part. It was very clean but there was a horrible odor (dead animal maybe) in the house and also in the water. I didn't call owner because it was a holiday week and we got over that smell after awhile, we had to let water run though for awhile to not smell it any longer, maybe thats normal. I always pack up little things like salt, pepper, storage containers and saran wrap and this trip I didn't because normally it's been in all of our VRBO rentals. I wasn't upset about it though, there was no mention of these things being provided but just an FYI to anyone else that may wonder. There are plenty of dishes, utensils and pots and pans. Our best part of trip was while sitting in hot tub we got to watch fireworks going off from what appeared to be Pigeon Forge on Thanksgiving. It was about a 20-30 minute drive to Pigeon Forge depending on where you are going and a little more than that to Gatlinburg.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children.

Loved the cabin, except for only ONE shower. It's further from Pigeon Forge & Gatlinburg than we thought. Cabin is actually outside of Sevierville. The WiFi did NOT work!Recommended for: Sightseeing.

We enjoyed our stay at this cabin. However, I was glad the weather was beautiful and not raining or snowing because we probably would not make it up the mountain in 2 wheel drive. Many twists and turns to get there and out in the middle of nowhere. The cabin was everything we expected and within minutes of Pigeon Forge where we spent most of our time. Very relaxing. The hot tub was nice and enjoyed by everyone. A ceiling fan is needed on the front porch and some games for the young children (glad I took my own). A nice cabin and well furnished with appliances and kitchen necessities. Would not recommend in winter unless you have 4-wheel drive.Recommended for: People with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.

The Dreamland cabin was definetly a beautiful place to spend a relaxing week vacation. The accomodations were very nice and well worth the price. You could not stay at a hotel for the price and still have a full kitchen, two full baths and a fully furnished living room and bedrooms, not to mention the beautiful surroundings of the mountains. For anyone that might want total solitude, this is the place.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway.
Owner response: Thank you, Dayne. It makes me glad that you enjoyed your visit to Dreamland and I hope you'll come again soon.

We really enjoyed our Easter Weekend visit to Dreamland cottage, such a perfect setting in the woods. So quiet and majestic and the Hot tub on the private deck was so nice. The cottage had everything you needed for cooking and relaxing, including Wi Fi, DVD player and beautiful bedrooms with perfect set up bathrooms. Sitting outside on the deck was wonderful, as you were not overlooked by anyone, just the trees and the wildlife!Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: We're delighted that you had a lovely visit to Dreamland and look forward to your next visit!
