Welcome to 'Hurst'
Janice and Keith would like to welcome you to 'Hurst' their family run Bed and Breakfast.

"Hurst" is the name of our Victorian home, built in 1888 and situated in Bromley, Kent, an attractive suburb of South London. The house is a rare example of a grand Victorian family home of that period with a large garden and a carriage driveway. Of the original eight bedrooms we have now allocated three large triple rooms for bed and breakfast purposes.

Our nearest airports are London - Gatwick, which is only 45 minutes away, or London - Heathrow, which is 1.5 hours away. See notes further down this page for details about getting to and from London.

Guest Facilities and Prices:
Two of the bedrooms have en-suite bathroom facilities and the third has a hand basin in the room and a private shower room and WC along the hallway. Each room has a color TV. We are happy to allow the use of a micro-wave, crockery and cutlery and tea and coffee making facilities in the family breakfast room. Off road parking is available in the driveway and guests have the use of a guest lounge and the garden, which features mature trees and shrubs, as well as visiting squirrels, foxes and birds of many species.

A full English breakfast is included in the price or a continental breakfast as an alternative for those that prefer something lighter. For evening meals there is a traditional British pub within five minutes walk and one of the best Indian Restaurants in the area is close by. There are also plenty of alternative eating options in Bromley town centre. All bedrooms are non-smoking but guests may smoke in the garden or in the guest lounge if the weather is inclement.

Getting to and from London:
"Hurst" is a 20-25 minute train ride from either Charring Cross or Victoria stations in Central London. Our local station - Elmstead Woods ( for the West End ) is a 10-15 minute walk. Bromley South ( for Victoria ) is a £2.50 cab ride away. Buses are also available to London from Bromley. If you are arriving by air Bromley is easily found by train or coach from either Heathrow or Gatwick airports. We can also arrange self drive car hire if required.
