  A beautiful tastefully done home in a very peaceful setting. The property would definitely be top of mind should we ever find ourselves in the Connecticut Shoreline in the future.

  My wife, two young sons and I had the great pleasure to rent this home in August of 2011. We arrived in the morning, sight unseen, and were immediately put at ease. It was immediately apparent that we were not to stay in a “rental property” rather a beautiful home with grand views of the long island sound. The pictures cannot come close to capturing the beauty and serenity of the spot. My wife and I spent many of our days across the street at a playground and beach, and our evenings enjoying the wraparound porch, enjoying the sunsets while our children played on the grass within view. The home is thoughtfully decorated with large windows, many views and is flooded with natural light. The master bedroom is enormous (close to the size of our NY apartment), the master bathroom hosts a Jacuzzi tub and a great shower. For those renters with children, there are dozens of toys and an entire library to enjoy. The owner was available for questions and a manager down the street checked in frequently. I was able to make use of the train station located just minutes from the house making my weekend trips to and from NYC a breeze. I could not ask for a better experience both in terms of the character of the home as well as its proud owner.

  We had the pleasure of spending the fourth of july week at this comfortable and luxurious home. The house was very well equipped. We enjoyed watching multiple fireworks displays from the upstairs bedrooms. Breakfast on the deck overlooking the water was wonderful. We enjoyed the fireflies dancing in the yard during the evening. A very short walk out the side yard and across the road brought us to the city beach park with playground, volleyball court, and beach. We had the chance to talk the kayaks out onto the water. A short walk will bring you to several resturants at the marina. Our three kids, 3, 7, and 9, had a great time with the basketball hoop, ping pong table, TV w/ cable, and toys. Yes we're fortunate that there were lots of toys to keep our 3 year old boy busy. We had a great time and highly recommend this wonderful home.

  We spent 2 weeks in July at this wonderful house. We were so sad to leave. The views are beautiful and serene. The house was very well equiped with books and toys for kids and even a ping pong table. The master bedroom is beyond spacious. The kitchen is state of the art. It was so nice to be so close to the beach and to town. We would rent this house again in a heartbeat. I have an 8 year old and 4 year old twins but it is perfect for all ages. The owner is lovely and so easy to work with. The house was very clean and well maintained. We wnet berry picking 10 minutes away, shopped at Bishop's Orchard everyday and just 2 minutes away is the marina with amazing lobster rolls and clam chowder. It does not get better than this.

  My family and another (total of 4 adults, 4 kids under the age of 5) had a wonderful 4-day stay over New Years. The house is spacious, modern and in great shape, yet feels extremely cozy with all of the comforts of home. Excellent kitchen, dining area, living room with entertainment options, sleeping quarters and bathrooms all in a nice layout with lots of natural light and water views. Very close to charming town of Guilford, and less than an hour to outlets, Mystic (aquarium, seaport, etc.) and even Foxwoods/Mohegan. Also good outdoor space and short walk to a beach. Really nice place to spend the winter holidays and probably just as nice if not nicer in the summer months.

  Recommended for: Families with young children.
