How fortunate we are to live in North Carolina where the mountains and the beach are never more than a few hours away! Although we love to spend time with the family on the coast, we adore the Blue Ridge Mountains. So much so we decided to buy a cabin and spend as much time in the high country as possible. We hope you enjoy our mountain getaway as much as we do.

Charming and Warm Cozy Cabin

We had a wonderful time during our recent visit at this cabin. It was our first time here, but certainly not our last as we LOVED it!! The location is great, just far enough off the 'beaten path' to spend quality time with the family, but close enough to main roads for shopping and dining. It is a quick 2 1/2 hour drive from the Research Triangle Park area... straight up the hill through acres and acres of Christmas tree farms. It was beautiful to see and to witness families choosing and cutting their own trees. ( Sure beats buying them at the supermarket.) The cabin had everything we needed to relax and refresh, but we just had to explore the area too! There is so much to see and do no matter what the season. We made notes of the closest hiking trails, zip lines ( you are never to old to ZIP) and water rafting for our spring trip. YES, we are checking the calender now. Thanks for a great time. My husband and I just spent a relaxing weekend in this perfect mountain getaway. This quaintly decorated cabin is furnished with everything you need, The mountain view is delightful, but equally enjoyable are the flowers, birds, butterflies, and sounds of wildlife everywhere. Even though we felt as though we were thousands of miles away from civilization, we soon found that we were just minutes away from lots of interesting places and just a hop, skip, and a jump from the Parkway. We're glad we had the chance to spend a weekend there.

My husband and I have been lucky enough to stay in this wonderful cabin several times in both summer and fall. It is a lovely place. It is beautifully decorated , very comfortable, well maintained, and the perfect get-away spot! The views in fall are spectacular and in summer it offers a fabulous respite from the heat. It is perfect for a couple looking for a romantic time away, or for friends and family hoping to enjoy the recreational activities available nearby. The owners are wonderful people. You will not be disappointed in this cabin!

Ashe County, NC is a gem unspoiled and this cabin, set back in the forest with a view of the hills and tall evergreens, is one of the most relaxing places I've been. Absolutely quiet except for the call of birds. When the fog rolls in, it is even more private. A great place to get away, read a book, write a book, reconnect with yourself and the natural world.

What a wonderful weekend! Thanks to the owners for creating such a welcoming and hospitable space. My husband and I were looking for something affordable and romantic to do for our 6th anniversary and we found it!! After spending the evening on the porch enjoying the mountain landscape, we ate our dinner by candle light on the back patio under the stars. Luckily, it was cool enough that we were able to enjoy a fire well into the evening. The cabin is incredibly charming. The style is an eclectic mix of Appalachian culture and modern craft. I loved it! My husband particularly enjoyed the wooden bear that greets you by the front door! Of course. In the morning we drank our coffee on the porch and watched the birds at the feeders. The next evening we drove into the charming town of West Jefferson where we ate a lovely dinner and explored the cute shops. We definitely want to come back. Thanks again!

We stayed here recently and had a wonderful time. The cabin is charming and VERY clean. I was impressed with the beautiful decor and the attention to detail. The hammock is a perfect place to take a book and relax under the cool mountain breeze. Much relief from this summer heat. Thanks again for such a wonderful and relaxing place. We will be back this fall!!

What a charming cabin! I have stayed here several times and keep going back. It was just the place for a quiet weekend to catch up with old friends, but I'm going back next time for a romantic weekend with my husband. The owners have included so many little cozy touches, and I particularly enjoyed watching the many hummingbirds. I feel asleep in the upstairs bedroom to the sound of rain on the tin roof. We like to bicycle the Virginia Creeper Trail from Damascus, and after a scenic drive back to the cabin, we grilled out and sat on the porch and watched the rabbits in the field across the way. All in all, we had a magical weekend. I highly recommend this retreat.
