  This is the second time we have stayed at this location. Again, it was the perfect set-up for our mixture of children, couples and single adults. PLENTY of room to spread out yet still feel like a family environment. Well-constructed and well-designed home allowed for the adults to congregate in the main spaces while the children slept soundly. The hot tub was SO wonderful at the end of a great day of skiing/boarding. The kitchen has just about every appliance you would need to make your stay enjoyable. The owner was wonderful to work with, very accomodating with quick responses. Thank you (again) for the opportunity to stay in your home.

  We had more than enough room for our group of 3 couples and 6 kids. And, we loved the set up w/ a downstairs TV room for the kids to watch a movie while the grown ups were able to relax and visit. All the bedrooms were extremely comfortable and the house was well stocked. We would HIGHLY recommend this home to our friends and anyone looking for a large home to rent near Homewood Ski Resort.

  We came to this beautiful Meeks Bay home with our family which included four generations! The home is designed beautifully for large groups with children and adults. The home is warm and cozy with a stunning fireplace and gorgeous views of the mountains and Lake Tahoe. The kitchen was perfect for cooking for large groups. This home exceeded our expectations! Only small issue was a shortage of towels, we had enough for showers but not enough for the hot tub too. This was a minor issue, we would without hesitation return to this home again and hope to next year!! The owner was accessible, helpful and has put a lot of love into this beautiful home.

  Nine of us women who went to college together over 20 yrs ago get together every year. This year we chose Tahoe and this location surpassed our expectations. The house is beautiful, new, fully equipped and perfectly designed with the Master Bedroom on the ground floor and all other bedrooms downstairs. We had all our meals at the house and the kitchen had everything we could have possibly needed. The view of the lake is breathtaking at any hour of the day or evening. The location was out of the craziness of Tahoe City or So. Lake, but close enough (10-15 min drive) if we needed anything. Joe was easy and delightful with which to work and made the entire stay wonderful. I have already forwarded this location on to multiple friends and would happily stay here again.

  My family and I rented Lakeview Lodge for a five night stay(9/12 thru 9/16). We had eight adults and one 2 year old toddler and could have easily accomadated a few more children in the bunk room. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The home is very attractive, comfortable and well appointed. We easily found all the essentials(cooking utensils, etc.) available to ensure a very comfortable stay. The property is extremely well maintained and clean. We found the listing description and photos to accurately reflect the location, appearance and amenities. Relaxing on the deck with a view of the lake was one of the highlights of the visit. The owner was very helpful and was available to answer our many questions. We would definitely return for another visit.

  We had a wonderful time at Tahoe, made even sweeter by our stay at Lakeview Lodge! As seasoned home builders, we were more than impressed by the home. Every detail, decoration and layout - it is very evident that the home was built with love. Personally, my favorite feature was the tree running through the center of the main room. The kitchen is so open and really lends itself to entertaining and socializing. And the downstairs family room is such a great bonus! Overall, we felt so comfortable in your home and are appreciative of the opportunity to have rented it over the weekend. It was the perfect choice for our family getaway. Our only regret is that we forgot to sign the guestbook. We were so bummed when we remembered (half way to Auburn) because we had spoken about it several times over the course of our stay. Hopefully we will have the opportunity to stay again in the near future – and we won’t forget to sign this time!

  We chose to rent the Lakeview Lodge for lodging for my son's wedding at the West Shore Cafe which is at Homewood. The pictures do not do the Lodge justice. It is simply magnificent and easily accommodated those of us staying there. We used all five bedrooms and the bunk rooms. Both decks were used extensively and the spa was used each night. All of our friends that came by for cocktails and snacks were in awe and were jealous of our luxurious place to stay. The Lodge is fully equipped with practically everything you will need except food and drinks. Joe is very accommodating and did everything we needed to make our stay wonderful. We all would highly recommend this as a great place to stay while at Lake Tahoe.

  Words cannot describe the perfection of this outstanding home; you can tell how much work and dedication the owners have put into it. The pictures posted are beautiful, but once you get there in person it is even more stunning; the views on the decks cannot be beat! It looks just like a postcard, surreal. The layout of the home was super comfortable for all 14 of us and thoroughly clean with amazing fireplaces (2), living rooms (2), bedrooms (7), and laundry rooms (2), yes, two laundry rooms! Also, the location was ideal for us snowboarders; we were 30 minutes away from Alpine Meadows and Squaw Valley and an hour and 20 minutes from Kirkwood which is further South, not a bad drive at all. Kirkwood was our favorite mountain, beautiful terrain! All praise to the owner as well; he was kind, helpful and informative with all the many many questions I had; he was very prompt to get back to me via phone or email. I would most definitely recommend this property to friends and family. We were all very sad to leave; the week went by too quickly. =(

• Great Property!

  A group of us (8 adults, 10 kids) just stayed here and it was fantastic! The property is very well maintained and has a great floor plan so that each person had a comfortable bed and we never felt overcrowded. The house is very well furnished, incredibly clean and has all the amenities you would need. The view of the lake is stunning. The location is ideal, just 5 minutes from Homewood and wonderful hikes if skiing doesn't appeal. Having stayed in a few Tahoe properties over the years this is by far the best. The pictures do not do the house justice, it really did exceed all our expectations. The owner was incredibly helpful. We will definitely be returning, I highly recommend this property.

  Stayed during the ski season...this home is absolutely incredible! Several families, some with small children, some with no children, had plenty of room to spread out. The grand central living room was the perfect place (after kids were asleep :) for the adults to relax and re-live the day's skiing adventure. Bedrooms were well situated away from the central living room so that children slept soundly (and tired adults) while the night owls in the group kept the party going. The hot tub was a must to relax those sore muscles at the end of the day. The kitchen was a cook's dream. The views were so beautiful you hated to leave. This home was the newest, best, most modern and comfortable we have rented in the 6 years we have been gathering in Tahoe. We have found our "permanent" home away from home for our group's ski trips. Did I mention the home's decor? Absolutely awesome--the pictures don't do it justice!!! Would recommend this rental for any type of group...ones with kids, no kids, mixtures of couples and singles. It can easily and comfortably accommodate all!
