  My wife and I were in town for a wedding and we only stayed 2 nights. We would have loved a longer stay. We didn't realize the creek was directly behind the cabin until we got here. ...it's rushing waters lulling us to sleep. The location makes this place, so e cardboard box in this spot would still make a great place to stay! The love shack has everything you need and the owners are very accommodating. We were able to leave for a 2-hour round trip hike that offered sweeping views of the Ojai Valley, right from the Love Shack, without even getting in the car. (Cozy Dell trail). Although there are a few other cabins nearby , I only briefly saw 2 other people during our stay. It's very secluded but 5 minutes to town. We felt very safe here as well especially with the entrance gate that requires a pass code to enter. If your coming to Ojai, love nature and want a private escape from the usual hotel experience, then you can't do better than the Love Shack!

  I had the pleasure of spending my birthday at the Love Shack. My boyfriend grew up in Ojai, and secured the cabin for a romantic birthday celebration. We brought up wine and champagne from the Trade Joe's in Ventura and spent our time really connecting to each other in a location far away from the hustle and bustle of New York City. The atmosphere and the decor is very warming and the seclusion one feels in the mornings in the cabin are worth any cost. We highly recommend the small intimate space for a place to just be with your loved one. As a gay couple we felt very welcomed by Anna and Robert, and loved the note they left in the cabin for us. We also really enjoyed Beatrice Wood's art work there..

  We were already in love with Ojai, but had only experienced it from hotel rooms (nice ones too!). We decided to take a chance on the Love Shack, what a find! The property is BEAUTIFUL! We opened the door to an adorable, well maintained and perfectly outfitted cabin. There truly is a babbling brook running alongside the cabin that you can see and hear through the windows. Every picture on the website is current and accurate, what you see is what you get. There is lots to do in the area, hiking, biking, shopping, fine dining and more. Cabin is within walking distance to Cozy Dell Trailhead. We are so glad there was a two night minimum - it's the kind of place you don't want to leave.

  This was the perfect weekend getaway for two stressed-out angelenos. We've only been gone a day but already miss the babbling brook that sung us to sleep at night. I want to recommend it to every couple I know but maybe shouldn't let the secret out! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Loveshack.

  What a wonderful 3 nights we spent here. The cabin is perfectly maintained and exactly the place to go if you are looking for a cozy hideaway. We spent the majority of our time reading next to the woodburning stove, or outside on the patio listening to the river. The mini-kitchen is perfect for light cooking, or just coffee and tea making. Robert and Anna left a lovely note recommending some local hikes, which we took and were beautiful. If you can tear yourself away from the cabin, check out Bart's Books in Ojai, a very unique outdoor bookstore. Thank you Robert and Anna. I can't wait to return.

  Heaven has a home on earth. And it is called The Love Shack! Although on a property with other cabins they are far enough away as not to be distracting or intrusive. I saw only 1 person the whole time I was here and that was from a distance. Complete and utterly private, the cozy cabin faces the roaring creek/river. The giant windows inside give stunning views. If you're here on a full moon like I was you are in for a magic time. The moon rises over the ridge to the east and directly over the Love Shack. Moonlight streams through the windows and skylight. Bliss. I spent hours reading on the screened porch on the comfy & roomy wicker chairs. What awaited me vastly exceeded my expectations. The owners are kind and welcoming. I can't wait to return!

  The Love Shack is so wonderful! I'm torn between telling everyone I know about it and keeping it a secret! :) I've posted several pictures of the cabin on my blog: http://elauinc.blogspot.com/2011/05/ojai-part-1-love-shack-and-ojala.html The description was accurate and property really well-maintained. I highly recommend the Cozy Dell Trail hike! If you go at the right time, it's filled with wildflowers.

  We just spent 2 wonderful days at the Love Shack and we already planning on returning in the future. A wonderful cozy place to spend a romantic and relaxing weekend or longer. The bed was comfy and we drifted off to sleep with the sounds of the river outside our window. Tranquil setting...thank you Robert and Anna...we had a wonderful time :)

  We had a wonderful experience at the Love Shack! It was truly a gem. The cabin was small and immaculate with lovely artwork everywhere. Anna left us many thoughtful and personal touches that made us feel welcome and special. The setting couldn't have been more serene. I truly loved our time here and look forward to going back soon. I can't rave enough.
