  After a fraught start (we missed our flight) all was up hill from there! From the get go Burtt and Carole were most accommodating and informative. They were always quick to answer all of our questions and reassure us of a relaxing get away. The housekeeper at BVI Village was friendly and attentive. She is certainly an asset as you will see upon arrival. After a nerve wracking drive up the twisting and turning hillside you cannot be but in awe of the view. Arriving at the villa it was clean and perfectly stocked (even down to a bottle of the local and lethal rum)! The view is undescribeable! There are not enough words of beauty to do it justice. Whether cooking in the kitchen (open to the elements), lounging by the pool or laying in bed it is inspiring and quickly relaxes you knowing you are really away from the rat race! The kitchen was so much fun to cook in and the outdoor shower a wonderful way to wake up in the morning. Burtt and Carole have thought of everything you could possible need and more including folding sun loungers for the beach trips. Swimming in the pool and taking in the view was one of my favourite parts of each day as you could watch the yachts sail by. If you are looking for a 5 star holiday to get away from it all BVI Village is the place. It will always hold very special memories for me as we got engaged there - so very magical! We hope to return again to relive the experience! Thank you Burtt and Carole for sharing your perfect piece of paradise!

  First off, the owners Burtt and Carole, are a dream to work with! They are as excited for you to experience their paradise as you will be to be there! They provided us with so much useful information about the surrounding area from "must do's" to hand drawn maps of the best routes to the house and the layout of the herbs in the garden around the villa. They even checked in with me by email (I still had to work, wifi worked perfect) to see if we were happy. Needless to say, we were thrilled with the accommodations! It was an all adult trip and upon arrival to the villa you would've thought 4 kids just got out of the car in the parking lot of Disney World. The Villa is truly the best way to experience island living. The open air concept is wonderful! We loved cooking and gathering in the common area (living room, kitchen, dining area). The views are ridiculous! You will not find a better view in the Caribbean than the one this villa has. It's a panoramic view of Jost Van Dyke, Long Bay, and Smugglers Cove. Sailboats tracking back and forth all day in the channel below. Tropical flowers surround the property. The sound of the frogs and birds in the evenings coupled with dramatic sunsets and an evening cocktail...I'm already there again in my mind. The outdoor shower off the master suit was a hit with everybody! Every night featured a beautiful calm, clear evening and gorgeous sunset. Every morning in the very early hours a tropical rain shower would come through like a well timed sprinkler system refreshing everything for the day ahead. Seriously, it was that well timed. Sun in the distance and showers overhead that lasted maybe an hour or so leading to beautiful bright sunny days. In 10 days there we had no bad days. Even the occasional day time rain shower was a welcome experience. Smugglers Cove and Long Bay are a short 5 minute, entertaining drive. Just go! This place will not disappoint you. It's the type of place you will not think twice about hanging out at all day without feeling guilty you're missing out on seeing the rest of the island. Marcia, the villa's host, is such an incredibly sweet and attentive host! We loved her! We will be returning.

  We really had a great time and could have had a wonderful relaxing vacation without ever leaving the property. The accommodations, pool and beautiful panoramic view combined to give us memories of a lifetime and left this family longing to return. Thank you for our wonderful visit to the BVI Village!   Loved our stay! So quiet, so relaxing, so peaceful and beautiful! A perfect place to get away from it all! We loved our stay!! With 3 teenagers, the layout of the property was perfect!! So much space and outdoor living gave everyone privacy and solitude. Yet the patio off of the pool offers the perfect place for games, sunning, and entertaining. The outdoor kitchen is the most fun and I actually loved cooking the family meals each day! The bedroom layout is perfect for large families and older kids. The pool is spectacular, and wonderfully refreshing any time of day as it sits overlooking the most beautiful Caribbean views I've ever seen! An absolute perfect getwaway!!

  Our family loved our stay at the Villa. The photos don't do justice to the unique beauty of this property. The open air plan of the kitchen and dining area was perfect. The bedrooms were spacious and everything was very clean and well-maintained. The location of the property provides incredible views of Long Beach, Salt Pond and extensive views of the Caribbean and neighboring islands to the north. While you have a lot of privacy, you're only a short drive from great snorkeling (Smuggler's Cove), shopping (Soper's Hole), beaches (Candy Cove was a favorite) and food (favorites - Myett's, Sebastian's and Jolly Roger). Our children (ages 5 and 8) had a great time at the house and played in the pool for hours. The property owners, Burtt and Carole, were extremely attentive and made every effort to make sure our vacation went smoothly. We felt like we were renting from old friends instead of having met them for the first time in renting this property.
