I and my two dogs stayed in Marcy's house during the month of March, 2013. It is situated in a piney woods next to Harpswell Cove, which makes the setting peaceful and quiet. Yet, the owners - very nice private people who entirely keep to themselves - live in a barn next door. This makes the rental house feel secluded, yet safe. Only a 3 mile drive to Brunswick, which has a lot to offer - good restaurants (especially the amazing 'Frontier'), excellent independent bookstore - The Gulf of Maine, an old fashioned movie theater, a good Hannafords, well stocked health food store, and a Farmer's Market, even in winter. My dogs and I enjoyed hiking on the many trails, bike paths and beaches - all in short driving distance. Popham Beach, in Phippsburg, near Bath is spectacular. And Reid State Park about a half hour away. Good shopping in Freeport, very close. The house itself has an excellent kitchen with gas stove, quality pots and pans. A cozy soapstone woodstove. 3 very comfortable beds with new mattresses, and nice linens. Nice dining table that I used as an office when I didn't have guests for dinner. Everything was spotless. The master bedroom even has a jacuzzi with special tiles made by the builder's children. Tiled floor in entry and kitchen was good for muddy dog feet, easy to quickly mop. All the amenities worked well - TV, internet, my ATT cell. But the best thing about the house is that I got the feeling it was built with love. So many nice details, so personal. It just has this great feeling when you walk in, and I thoroughly enjoyed my time there. Would go back any time. Marcy is great to work with too - and helpful about local info, so I give this whole place my highest recommendation.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, people with disabilities, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Our family found this rental online as we were having many out of country residents attending our wedding in Maine and we wanted our guests to have the 'typical' Maine experience along with the proximity to the amenities in downtown Brunswick. We couldn't have been more pleased with this choice. The house is set back within the woods with a wonderful peek of the water from the living room, kitchen and both upstairs bedrooms. The house was spacious, clean and tastefully decorated, making us feel very much at home. Taxis from town to the house cost about $9, allowing our guests to enjoy the theatre and wonderful restaurants that Brunswick has to offer. We would definitely recommend this house for family, friends or a romantic getaway and we look forward to coming back again!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

If you are looking for a relaxing and fun-filled vacation in Maine, I highly recommend a stay at Sea Grass Farm. The property is delightfully private and picturesque. It is located on a large wooded lot with waterfront access to a coastal inlet that is perfect for kayaking and other water sports. Just a stone’s throw away is the charming downtown Brunswick and not much further is the historic town of Bath. While you might never want to leave the calming serenity of the property, the close proximity to Portland and Freeport make for wonderful day trips to explore some of Maine’s best museums and shopping outlets. Our stay at Sea Grass Farm was the perfect getaway for my family (daughter, husband and two dachshunds) with something for everyone!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

About the owner: I am an independent woman. One who enjoys the best life has to offer and an active lifestyle. I yoga, bike ride, and am an active gardener. I believe in spending a great deal of time in nature. My home offers me the peace and closeness to nature I have learned to love while being close to urban adventure!
Why the Owner Chose Brunswick:
I 'camped' in Maine as a child and always wanted to live by the sea. I choose Brunswick Maine as my home due to it's location and proximity to amenities.
The Unique Benefits at this Chateau / Country House:
A BIRDSEYE VIEW OF PORTLAND
Portland is home to an eclectic mix of Old New England and new urban arts and entertainment. The Portland Museum of Art, and the heart of Portland’s Arts District offer diverse experiences. Coffee, fine dining, and light fare all can be found just a few blocks from your front door. Portland is Maine’s cultural center and much of this culture can be experienced in the Old Port, a historic district full of cobblestone streets, and antique stores. While there you can experience our eclectic and hip music scene ranging from Jazz to bluegrass. If you want... take in a dance club. Some of Maine's most exquisite beaches are just a 15 minute car ride away from the Old Port District.
A BIRD'S EYE VIEW OF BRUNSWICK
This wonderful coastal area offers fine dining, art galleries and shopping. Nearby Bowdoin College offers cultural activities and lectures. Only 25 miles from Portland, and approximately 120 miles from Boston, the Topsham/Brunswick area brings together elements of both city and country living, with seaside opportunities for the outdoor enthusiast.
A BIRD'S EYE VIEW OF BATH
Long known as the 'City of Ships,' Bath, Maine finds its soul and identity
in shipbuilding. Located just 20 minutes Down East from Brunswick Bath is Nestled along the sparkling Kennebec River. It is a small jewel of a city with the perfect mix of old seafaring history and vibrant daily life. From its architecture and cultural offerings to its urban downtown, Bath's shipbuilding roots define its character.
