This home was designed by one of Kauai's foremost architects; great attention to detail was given and is reflected throughout the home. It is a large and uncluttered, family-style home featuring soft tones, open ceilings, hardwood floors, and retractable glass doors opening to the expansive lanai overlooking the greenbelt of the Poipu Kai community. Everything about this home is soothing and refreshing. The lanai features a dining table and a gas barbecue grill with additional lounge chairs.
It is a short walk to Poipu beach, the Kauai Hyatt Regency Spa, and the Poipu Kai gated swimming pool and tennis courts. Poipu Kai resort also offers 24-hour security to its residents.
An open floor plan and vaulted ceiling in the living room, kitchen, and dining area provide a magnificent space for entertaining. The kitchen is well lit and has a skylight and abundant cabinet space and pantry.
The master bedroom is peaceful and inviting with sliding glass doors opening up to the lanai. The master bedroom also features a large, walk-in closet with built-in drawers for ample storage. All the furnishings and decor are tropical and well done, and includes a new, king-size bed.
A large, contemporary, master bath with skylight, a large jacuzzi tub, and separate antique glass block shower. The bathroom floors are imported ceramic tile.

We recently returned after spending ten days over Xmas at this home. I can't begin to tell you how fabulous it was. Everything we needed. It was even nicer than we had expected and our expectations were high. We travel extensivley and rarely would I use the term perfect with travel, but I honestly will tell you this home was perfect. The owners were delightful to work with, very efficient in responding to email and very organized. It was a very positive experienc to do business with them. They made it effortless for us. The kitchen has everything you need and more.Also, very nice to have A/C for really hot nights. Just a quick walk down a beautiful path one way and you are at Poipu beach and the other way at Grand Hyatt and Shipwreck beach. If you are looking for tranquility and very comfortable surroundings then this is the place.

The was one of the most beautiful vacations we have taken. This home is so beautiful, comfortable and in such a beautiful place. It could not have been better. We especially enjoyed the ourdoor veranda bed. We would play with our grandson or take a nap or just kick back and enjoy the beautiful banana tree and tropical folliage. The home is very well decorated and furnished with absolutely everything one could want. Including: all kitchen amenities and every kind of snorkle and surf gear. We were just blown away by the thoughtfullness put into this home. If you want a vacation to remember this is the place to go to.

I hesitate writing this because I don't want to expose this great find! But the owners asked us to do a write up....so, please, keep this one a secret. First off: the owners make it easy to plan. You email them, they get back to you promptly. We had detailed questions about the property and surrounding activities, and they were quick. They even recommended beaches and even the type of rental car (yes, get an SUV for Polihale Beach). At one point they replied in seconds. Amazing. The house itself is really great. The write up is accurate. The best part of the house is the sizeable porch. Big dining table, 2 chaise, huge gas grill, & a hanging bed that you can nap or read on. But you'll probably like the kitchen (open plan) that is chalk full of gadgets and gear, including a blender, tons of pots and pans, flatware, 2 cuisnarts I think?...AND the pantry is pretty stocked, so don't do your grocery shopping until you've surveyed the inventory that's already there. The bedrooms are really nice. All high quality. The master is big and the two other bedrooms are spacious too. One has the washer/dryer in its bathroom, so you need to time your laundry so that it doesn't wake that person. Ok so the really cool thing: they had TONS of beach gear for kids and adults: snorkel masks, goggles, fins, reef shoes of different sizes, sand castle stuff, umbrellas, boogie boards and even a surf board. This was really convenient. No hassle going to the rental store and going through that whole routine. And, yes, they have beach towels aplenty. The house is a quick walk to the Hyatt Resort and even Shipwreck Beach. Though honestly, we had all that gear so we always drove to the beach (3 mins to the parking area of Shipwreck). Poipu Beach/Brennek's is nearby too (5 min drive) but not close enough to walk with all the gear. This is not a deterrent though. This is sort of a reality of a day at the beach. This is their family home too - so be cool about how you treat it. Especially with your kids. We definitely will go back and would love to see it in the same condition! They really have a special place here so be gentle! Have everyone shower off the sand (there's a nifty shower right by the garage). The spick and span neighborhood is very quiet, & although it doesn't have a view of the water, you have a great view of the greenbelt right out the back door. Bottom line: high quality house, sunny area of the island, quiet, and well-equipped.

You will be in for a treat when you stay at this paradise house in the Poipu area. The location is a quick walk from two of the island's best beaches and the house is state of the art. Beautiful bamboo floors, great lanai with rope hanging bed outside for relaxing. Every detail is met when the guests arrive and the kitchen is brand new and has all of the highest quality appliances! It was hard to leave and the house is beautifully decorated with origianl artwork from one of Kauai's own renowned artists! This lovely home is a 12!!!! Enjoy your stay!

My wife and I have vacationed on Kauai,Oahu and Maui and this location is by far the best. The house is beautifully appointed and very comfortable. There are lemons growing in front yard and bananas in the back with the scent of plumeria flowers filling the air day and night. The short walk down the greenbelt to Shipwreck Beach is very convenient and there's shopping in Old Kaloa Town and the Poipu Shopping Center nearby. Although, our favorite activity is going down to Poipu Beach in the evening and watching the sunset over the palm trees. We are going back in one month for our third trip to this house and I am counting the hours before we return to one of the most relaxing places on Earth.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, age 55+, sightseeing.

This is a beautiful and welcoming home, perfect for a relaxing getaway to Kauai! I highly recommend it. The home would be a perfect spot for a couples vacation. There is a gorgeous kitchen great for cooking and a comfortable sitting area. Amazing back porch area with a great view of the greenway. Quick walk to the beach and very close to nearby Poipu attractions.

We loved staying in this beautiful Poipu home. It is comfortable, welcoming, and peaceful. We loved how the back porch opened into a beautiful greenbelt with sidewalks heading to beach. You could find us sitting there every morning and evening. The location was so nice as well, we would walk 5 min in the early morning to the Shipwreck Beach to watch the sunrise and have coffee at the Hyatt. It is a short drive to other gorgeous beaches - Mahaulepu Beach (our favorite), Brennicke Beach, Poipu Beach, & Baby Beach ( great for small children - has a fabulous view of the sunset). Fabulous restaurants were just a few minutes away. The golf course at the Hyatt is one of the most beautiful courses and the guys really enjoyed playing there. The house is more beautiful than the pictures suggest. There are beach chairs, ice chest, snorkeling gear all for the guest use, which is so wonderful. The owners have a great suggestion book for things to do. The owners are also so easy to work with. This is truly a beautiful find in Kauai - stay as long as you can!! We hope to come back.
