Just one block from the Malecon and the beautiful Bay of La Paz, you are truly in another world. Inside the very private walls of the Casita, you will find a cool, inviting, and intoxicating sanctuary that will be difficult to leave. The main part of the Casita has two bedrooms, a large modern living area, and a gorgeous bathroom. It is separated from the kitchen by a beautiful courtyard with intimate areas for dining and relaxing. Casa Casita defines the notion of Mexican indoor/outdoor living at its best.
We have furnished Casa Casita with an eclectic mix of wonderful 19th century Indian, Mexican, and Chinese furniture--but we have kept it simple. Both bedrooms have queen-sized beds with 300 thread-count, soft cotton linens and down pillows. The floors are cool concrete. Each bedroom is air conditioned, and large ceiling fans circulate the air in the living room and kitchen. There is also broadband internet (wi-fi and wired), cable TV with CNN, and a sound system that is iPod-ready. The kitchen is outfitted with a six-burner gas stove, new cookware, and service for six. You would have a hard time asking for more!
Casa Casita is centrally located in the heart of La Paz. It is within walking distance to an incredible array of restaurants, grocery stores and shops. And, of course, the Malacon is only a block away--perfect for a stroll at sunset along the Bay. There is even a Spanish language school next door. The beaches are a ten-minute drive from town. World-class diving, snorkeling, and fishing are all within easy reach in the Sea of Cortez!

Why the Owner Chose La Paz
We love La Paz because it's a real city - not a tourist trap. We love walking on the boardwalk early in the morning and around sunset, where we get to see locals - entire families - doing the same thing: enjoying the setting and the vibe.

Four of us stayed here for a week after Christmas. The Casita was an easy walk to a plethora of restaurants, but the fully equipped kitchen made it simple for us to prepare some of our own meals as well. The photos on the website are accurate --we enjoyed our time on the patio, and on cool evenings (yes, it does get cool in Baja in December) we were cozy in the living room. Plenty of room for 4 people- we never felt in each others' way. New Year's Eve was a bit noisy in the neighborhood, but, hey, that made our experience in La Paz even more enjoyable as we savored the authenticity of our life there. We would definitely stay here again.

Lovely Casita with a Mexican flair.

This casita is quite nice. We enjoyed our stay very much and would stay there again. It does get quite warm in the afternoons in May so it was great to have air-conditoning. The evenings were great out in the courtyard. If it was missing anything, it might be a water feature, such as a hot tub or fountain in the courtyard.

We stayed here for 10 days in Feb. 2009. We have two younger kids and Casa Casita was a perfect base for our vacation. The home was beautifully furnished, fully wireless, ipod ready, great space to spread out, nice kitchen, relaxing outdoor sitting area that is great to enjoy the night sky. The Casita is a wonderful oasis on the edge of the main tourist area, 1 block off the malecon. I'd recommend this place to almost anyone.
