Recent Sequoia, Kings Canyon reviews

  • Spacious, convenient, and most of all BEAUTIFUL VIEW

"We stayed over xmas break and had a wonderful time. The high ceiling, open window view of the river beneath is refreshing and memorable. The house is comfortably furnished and has plenty of room for 3 boys to run around. What's more, the house is right outside the sequoia park entrance and close to a beautiful river park (the name escapes me...). The only downside is that only ATT gets cell phone reception and there is no Internet connectivity. However, sometimes it is good to be forced to be unplugged. I'd definitely stay here again!"

"We had a great time at this cabin with our family of 4 (2 adults, 2 toddlers!) Our kids loved all the toys, books, and games provided at the house. Everything you need to feel right as home is waiting for you. The beds are super comfy, towels are soft and cozy, and everything is well kept. We enjoyed our first day hiking at Balch Park (a twisty trip up the mountain but worth the drive to see the huge sequoia trees and hidden falls!). Our second day was spent hiking Lower Coffee Camp, a lunch at The Hamburger Stand in Springville, followed by a hike of the wildflowers. If you have small children (like we do!), be sure to bring a backpack carrier as the hikes involve a lot of boulders and require balance (not something toddler are very good at!). We hope to return to the cabin later this summer so we can enjoy the pool (it never got warm enough this trip) and to hopefully jump in the waters at the Hidden Falls and Lower Coffee Camp!"

  • Thanksgiving weekend

"We really enjoyed this house which we found very clean with lots of toilet paper and trash bags. We felt at home from the very first moment. The house is very cozy with nice furniture, most of the utensils needed to cook a nice meal for a big group, and lots of wood for the fireplace. We cooked a barbecue using firewood in the outside grill. The land, full of trees is very inviting to walk around, especially at night to see the stars. The big beds have comfortable mattresses, but the bunk beds don't. Taking showers required some planning in order to have hot water for everybody as we were 20 people. I would definitely go back."

  • Family Vacation

"Great fit for a large group... everyone had plenty of room! Kings Canyon was about 30/45 min drive up the windy road. .. but we all had a great time! We think the grills on the big bbq need a lil upgrade... old with a few holes on the grills and a few rooms need new mattress but the lil things did not stop us from having a great time! Far Away from the grocery so make sure you bring plenty of food! Everything was clean and in good condition! Thank you for having us! And thank you Melinda for all your help!"
