"My family and I had an incredible vacation up at Ann and John's cabin. first of all, if you like to really get away from the city and land in a beautiful spot of nature, this is the place. the gorgeous meadow right outside the door, the nearby hiking in the woods, and no people within shouting distance (except our lovely hosts when needed) makes this a place to truly take a retreat. then there's the cabin - simple, clean, with everything you need plus an incredible kitchen with a griddle/grill that would warm the heart of any short order cook. we cooked some fabulous meals there. good food was had by all. Ann and John are experienced and gifted hosts who know how to give you the space you need to truly relax, and yet always seem to be there for advice or recommendations (or some extra parsley if you run out!) just in the nick of time. and we got to bring our golden retriever who, if he could talk, would be begging us right now to go back up to the cabin."

  • Wondeful home, Wonderful hosts!

"My family and I stayed with Lona and Greg in late August for four nights. This home is beautiful and warm. Lona has put her heart and soul into creating a magical space. She has an incredible eye for detail and beauty. Although we were disappointed that the river running through their back yard had dried up due to severe drought conditions, this did not hamper our stay. There are plenty of great watering holes and beautiful spots to get your feet wet close to the home. The highlight of our stay was when we were asked to stay for dinner with our hosts and their friends visiting from Hawaii. A beautiful paella and other delicious foods. Wonderful hosts and a beautiful home."

  • Peaceful Getaway

"Surrounded by a peaceful farm filled valley, this was a picturesque place to stay. We had a wonderful time walking around the surrounding area, playing pool in the game room, sitting around the fire pit at night and swimming in the pool. Also, we caught a few fish in the pond! I would definitely stay at the Hafuma ranch again!"

  • FAMILY ADVENTURE

"We had a great time at this cabin with our family of 4 (2 adults, 2 toddlers!) Our kids loved all the toys, books, and games provided at the house. Everything you need to feel right as home is waiting for you. The beds are super comfy, towels are soft and cozy, and everything is well kept. We enjoyed our first day hiking at Balch Park (a twisty trip up the mountain but worth the drive to see the huge sequoia trees and hidden falls!). Our second day was spent hiking Lower Coffee Camp, a lunch at The Hamburger Stand in Springville, followed by a hike of the wildflowers. If you have small children (like we do!), be sure to bring a backpack carrier as the hikes involve a lot of boulders and require balance (not something toddler are very good at!). We hope to return to the cabin later this summer so we can enjoy the pool (it never got warm enough this trip) and to hopefully jump in the waters at the Hidden Falls and Lower Coffee Camp!"
