  • Awesome

"I cannot express how perfect White Sands is. When we arrived I was in aw by the breath taking views. The home was immaculate right down to the dinning table set for a awesome dinner. We rented a boat for a few days that we kept right at the dock. The grounds were well maintained and beautiful. We went swimming everyday in the beautiful pool. When we did venture out we went to LuLu's for breakfast , Sparkys Landing for lunch and The Island Co.for dinner. I would like to say thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us. This is a vacation we will never forget. Hope to return next year."

  • Maybe yes.... Maybe no

"I am torn on writing this review. I was angry the first couple of days but at the end of the week I was starting to come around on this rental... First things first... SPECTACULAR view of the bay. Incredible property, well maintained. Loved the putting green, bocce court, new dock to walk out and catch fish. It was an absolute million dollar view. The kitchen was one of the finest I have ever been in. Awesome views from the back of the house, living room, dining room and master bedroom. Great seating areas in the dining and living rooms. The shower in the master bath was awesome! Huge and nicely done. Loved the music in every corner imaginable in the house. Quiet location on road that doesn't get much traffic. These are are great things! Now the not so good.... The "pool" is three feet deep. Tops. Much shallower on other end. That was quite a surprise to the kids and me but we got over it after a few days. Not sure it's proper from to call a kiddy pool a "pool". If cannonballs and jumping into a deep end are what you envision, this is not the place for you. There are no closets. Not too big a deal, but for those sleeping in twin and queen rooms, there are air handlers in your closets that do turn on and off throughout the night. Just so you know.... The biggest turnoff for me was the louvered doors on the bedrooms. I just don't get this one. Nobody could sleep in and nobody could go to bed early in my group because there was absolutely no privacy. None. Might not be a problem for others but for me this is the reason I would not return. My wife absolutely LOVED the place and would come back in a second. I would have liked not hearing my friends in the next room snoring and coughing and..... I think you get the picture. If the louvered doors were replaced with solid wood I WOULD BE BACK IN A SECOND! But I'm the type of guy who needs privacy. Oh, also the detached apartment smells horribly of mold. Looks really nice inside, tho. Great getaway with large television and comfy couch!"

  • Rain, rain go away!

"First of all, I want to say that this place is a dream! I couldn't have asked for a more well set up house with everything you could possible need. It is so comfortable and what a beautiful view, so private with the bay just steps away. We only had one problem with our trip and that was the weather. We got here Saturday and it was beautiful Sunday but then it rained the rest of the week. The mornings were somewhat overcast so we did get some kayaking in which was wonderful. There are many canals with mangroves where you can see lots of wildlife. On our first day here, we had some visitors in the hot tub. They were giant iguana's that would come very close and hope to be fed. We did not feed them because they are quite aggressive but beautiful. On Monday we decided to go snorkeling. Wrong idea that day! We didn't realize that the bad weather had caused the ocean to be pretty rocky. We all suffered because of that and were all sea sick. I tell you we couldn't catch a break. The captain said that for the last 10 days, it was smooth as glass. Tuesday we went to Key West and saw Ernest Hemingway's house, that was great and then we walked around town in the rain and window shopped. Wednesday we went down to Sombrero Beach and snorkeled right off the beach, it was fantastic! Of course by noon, the rain chased us home. There are so many other things you can do down here also, renting bikes, jet ski's, the food is great too! We found a restaurant called Keys Fisheries that has the best Lobster Reuben I've ever had. We have one more day and it's gonna rain, oh well at least we didn't get sunburned. We still have had a very relaxing time and I would do it again anytime!"

  • This is the place you are looking for!

"Stop searching for a place to stay in the Keys. This is the place! The Dolphin's Motel has absolutely everything you could possibly want for an enjoyable Keys vacation. Want excitement? Key West is just an hour down the road. Want relaxation? The heated pool, tiki hut overlooking the marina, and the picnic table on the jetty are perfect places to relax and soak up the sun. The efficiency we rented was very clean and very well stocked. Nothing was overlooked. Tami and Steve were the perfect hosts. They were extremely helpful with suggestions for dining and entertainment and were just a phone call away. When our Garmin failed to function, they delivered computer generated directions to our door. We highly recommend the Dolphin's Motel for your next trip to the Keys."
