  • Maybe yes.... Maybe no

"I am torn on writing this review. I was angry the first couple of days but at the end of the week I was starting to come around on this rental... First things first... SPECTACULAR view of the bay. Incredible property, well maintained. Loved the putting green, bocce court, new dock to walk out and catch fish. It was an absolute million dollar view. The kitchen was one of the finest I have ever been in. Awesome views from the back of the house, living room, dining room and master bedroom. Great seating areas in the dining and living rooms. The shower in the master bath was awesome! Huge and nicely done. Loved the music in every corner imaginable in the house. Quiet location on road that doesn't get much traffic. These are are great things! Now the not so good.... The "pool" is three feet deep. Tops. Much shallower on other end. That was quite a surprise to the kids and me but we got over it after a few days. Not sure it's proper from to call a kiddy pool a "pool". If cannonballs and jumping into a deep end are what you envision, this is not the place for you. There are no closets. Not too big a deal, but for those sleeping in twin and queen rooms, there are air handlers in your closets that do turn on and off throughout the night. Just so you know.... The biggest turnoff for me was the louvered doors on the bedrooms. I just don't get this one. Nobody could sleep in and nobody could go to bed early in my group because there was absolutely no privacy. None. Might not be a problem for others but for me this is the reason I would not return. My wife absolutely LOVED the place and would come back in a second. I would have liked not hearing my friends in the next room snoring and coughing and..... I think you get the picture. If the louvered doors were replaced with solid wood I WOULD BE BACK IN A SECOND! But I'm the type of guy who needs privacy. Oh, also the detached apartment smells horribly of mold. Looks really nice inside, tho. Great getaway with large television and comfy couch!"

  • Simply beautiful and everything we had hoped for!

"From the time we booked this vacation until the time we left, my family had a great experience. The communication with property managers was always prompt and informative. The house itself had it all - great area, great dock (with all the necessary fishing amenities - all in great shape); the pool and hot tub provided a great place for us to soak and have fun! The owners and property manager clearly take pride in this property; the rooms are decorated beautifully. The kitchen was beyond expectations - you would be hard pressed to think of something it didn't have!! Great quality throughout - the appliances - the furniture, etc. Newly remodeled bathrooms were fabulous! The screened in porch provided us a place to gather for relaxation and conversation - we had no worries about bugs. Fishing off the dock we caught many fish - several varieties - we also saw lobster at the end of the dock! No wonder this property has such great reviews - it has earned them! Kayaks and bikes on site - pool table - something for everyone! The attention to detail here is apparent. We would love to come back to La Casa Habana again. Our vacation was stellar - in large part due to our experience here. Thank you!!"

  • Trine Moller

"The perfect place for a get away to the Keys. This was my third visit to this property, I stay here because the unit is very nice, clean, well equipped. The tropical setting includes an abundance of coconut palms and various tropical plants, it is perfect for a vacation. This time of the year is very quiet, not many tourist around. The marina is located only a minute walk away and after another 4-5 minutes you reach the jetty which sticks a few hundred yards out into the ocean. It is a great place for star-gazing, fishing or simply relaxing and taking in the view. It is close enough if you like to go to Key West for the afternoon. I had a wonderful time and look forward to my next visit. Trine"

  • AMAZING!

"Amazing doesn’t begin to describe this house! Villa Pamela shows just like the pictures … if not better. The house is very comfortable and equipped with everything you could possibly need. The three bedrooms (1 king, 1 king and 2 twin beds – all of which are very comfortable) have their own private bath. The entire living area is situated on the top floor of the house and garage / storage area on the bottom level. Many hours were spent enjoying the swimming pool, spillover hot tub, screened in porch and dock. The sound system that allowed you to enjoy your favorite music from the pool area, screened in porch or living room was a very nice added touch. The water at the end of the dock is so clear, we spent a lot of time watching the marine wildlife which to our surprise included manatee! We were told manatee love to play in freshwater so we sprayed the water hose in the air and it was truly amazing to watch, but a word of caution – we later found out this is illegal (oops!). Once we got over our fear, we enjoyed the daily visits from the friendly iguanas who loved to drink out of the pool and from the egret who always had a watchful eye on anyone fishing! This was our third vacation rental in the Florida Keys and this house was by far our favorite! Thanks for letting us enjoy your home and we can’t wait to come back!"
