  • Wonderful, relaxing getaway

"Our first time in the Florida Keys was when we stayed in Key Lime Kottage last week. What a lovely way to go! The Kottage is easy to find right on the Overseas Highway but totally secluded. Mangroves grow on both sides of the property so you can’t see any other houses or people. It looks like the typical, cute Florida cottage I envisioned. Once inside it delivers all the tropical charm I was wanting with every comfort. Everything is so nicely done, homey, and welcoming. The house is within walking distance of a few restaurants and the Dolphin Research Center, which we went to and really enjoyed. The owners have thought of everything that vacationers would want. The kitchen is better stocked with plates, glasses, flatware and more cooking pots, pans and utensils than mine at home. We made all of our breakfasts and some lunches there. We could either choose to eat at the glass topped table in the house or at the large table by the pool. We did both. There are large, flat screen TVs in the living room, all bedrooms and even by the pool. We could sit in the hot tub and watch television! The pool and hot tub area are the prettiest I have seen. Water flows from the hot tub to the pool in a waterfall. The deck is covered with beautiful natural stone tiles. There are reclining lounge chairs by the pool where I relaxed and read in the sun. I could also choose to sit on the back deck, sit out by the dock, or sit at the end of the dock and watch the pelicans dive for fish. We kayaked from the dock in the calm waters. We rode bicycles that were furnished. I saw board games under the coffee table that we would surely have used had our children been with us. I saw pool toys available as well. The only thing you can’t do is dock a boat there because the water is too shallow, but there is a marina within walking distance from the house if you want a boat. It is great place to vacation whether there are just a couple of people or several family and friends."

  • LOVELY, CHARMING with a RETREAT FEEL

"Gerry's Florida House is the perfect place to go to get away from it all! It is located in a quiet neighborhood on Little Grassy Key. Once on the property you feel like you are at your own private retreat surrounded by lush landscaping, a beautiful pool and spa. Sitting on the lovely screened porch you look out on the Gulf as you listen to the waterfall affect of the spill over spa, you feel like you have found paradise! This time of year the sunsets were beautiful offering reflecting colors of the rainbow on the ripples of the water. The pool and spa were enjoyed daily, being clean and well maintained. Kayaks, bikes and fishing equipment are available for your use as advertised. Walk 100 feet out to the dock especially at night to enjoy star gazing or look at the fish swim around by the spot light in the water. The home offers comfortable bedding and furnishings, a kitchen with all the pieces of equipment one needs to cook a gourmet meal to enjoy. However, if you prefer to go out to eat there are plenty of wonderful restaurants fairly close by to enjoy delightful meals with a water view. Hide Away Cafe was a fabulous find just 1 mile from the home where we enjoyed casual yet elegant dining. Keys Fishery is a great place to enjoy the local "flavor" of the area, offering a sunset celebration each night. Sunset Grill by the Seven Mile Bridge was great also. We also enjoyed a wonderful sunset catamaran sail, (Sailing Catamaran "Sirius" Ocean Sailing, Inc). Include a day trip to Key West while there and you won't be sorry. Be sure to also visit some of the local beaches, Sombrero Beach being a great one offering a wonderful sandy beach, clear shallow water, great if you have little ones, also offering a wonderful playground, clean restrooms and outside showers. Vacation at Gerry's Florida House and you won't be sorry. Thank you to Gerry and Ellis for making your home available for all to enjoy. You are the BEST!"

  • Chris and Faye

"This was our first stay in this wonderful place. We have stayed at other places in the same general area in years past, but this has been our favorite accommodations so far. Clean, quiet, comfortable and very well equipped - we had everything we could possibly need for our 2 week stay - Hans and his wife thought of everything! We had a lot of fun walking out to the jetty to fish or over to the sparkling pool to just float around and relax. We appreciated all the attention to the details of the property that made it a pleasure to be there - the colorful decorations and tropical landscaping. Thanks Hans - we had such a great vacation!"

  • AMAZING!

"Amazing doesn’t begin to describe this house! Villa Pamela shows just like the pictures … if not better. The house is very comfortable and equipped with everything you could possibly need. The three bedrooms (1 king, 1 king and 2 twin beds – all of which are very comfortable) have their own private bath. The entire living area is situated on the top floor of the house and garage / storage area on the bottom level. Many hours were spent enjoying the swimming pool, spillover hot tub, screened in porch and dock. The sound system that allowed you to enjoy your favorite music from the pool area, screened in porch or living room was a very nice added touch. The water at the end of the dock is so clear, we spent a lot of time watching the marine wildlife which to our surprise included manatee! We were told manatee love to play in freshwater so we sprayed the water hose in the air and it was truly amazing to watch, but a word of caution – we later found out this is illegal (oops!). Once we got over our fear, we enjoyed the daily visits from the friendly iguanas who loved to drink out of the pool and from the egret who always had a watchful eye on anyone fishing! This was our third vacation rental in the Florida Keys and this house was by far our favorite! Thanks for letting us enjoy your home and we can’t wait to come back!"
