  • This is a home more than it is a vacation rental!

"We have never had a more homelike vacation rental. It was a charming place. First and foremost, the Casa was spotlessly CLEAN. The kitchen was stocked with several sets of lovely dinner and glassware; not just the usual set of four basic pieces. There was not a single kitchen item we needed that was not there. We loved that the office provided nice privacy between the two bedrooms and baths (great for two couples). The beds were so comfortable my husband checked out the mattress to find out the manufacturer! Unfortunately due to cool weather we were able to enjoy the outdoor seating area only on two days. We especially enjoyed having a gas grill and grilled out every night. As stated it is only three blocks to the center of Santa Fe. We parked the car and did not move it other than for day trips out of town. Rita and Tom were very gracious. They met us at the Casa to give us the keys and a tour of the Casa. They were available by phone for any questions and Rita was very helpful with suggestions for shopping. All in all this was the best VRBO rental we have ever had. The location, amenities, cleanliness and charm make it a standout!"

  • Excellent base of operation for all that northern New Mexico has to offer

"Like much of the desert southwest, northern New Mexico is one of my happy places - full of interesting geology, wildlife, history & culture. Bob's place offers incredible views & good proximity to all that Santa Fe has to offer though without the traffic & the light pollution. The sunrises are amazing & the panoramic vistas in all directions incredible. Located at the end of the El Dorado development & backing up to a federal grazing range, there's very little light pollution, so it's possible to see the Milky Way at night once your eyes adjust as well as planets & constellations. An added benefit, you can also hear the coyotes yipping as night falls & usually again just before dawn down in the arroyo. We saw several behind the house during our visit as well as a good variety of song birds, flickers & desert rabbits. The house is comfortable & roomy, especially with the master separated from the other two bedrooms by the living area. The kitchen is well-stocked & highly functional & the house is very cozy despite single-digit, clear, cold northern New Mexican winter nights. Bob was a dream to deal with & I highly recommend both the house & the location."

  • Great Location, Great Views, Very Quiet location

"We traveled to this house in early June from Texas. The owner worked with us allowing us to arrive a day earlier than expected as the trip did not take as long as expected. However, we were greeted with the heat from Santa Fe, a total surprise. Even though the evenings do get much cooler, it was not enough to cool the interior of the adobe house. The owner worked to get a window unit installed downstairs and it made all the difference in the comfort of the house. Thank you David. Our Germanshepard/Husky mix really enjoyed the cooler air inside. Besides that the location was great, only 5 minutes to the square and the hills where the house is located made for great walking daily. The spiral stair case was a little challenging, but in all we got over that pretty quickly."

  • A Thanksgiving holiday to remember!

"We have had some memorable VRBO experiences in other cities and this one was exceptional. We met our two sons who live in California in Santa Fe for the holiday. The house was everything that was advertised. It was spacious with two comfortable bedrooms, 2 baths, a large kitchen, family room and dining room. The seasoned firewood helped make roaring fires every night. The house was easy walking distance to all of Santa Fe shopping, dining & museums. Canyon Road, with all of its amazing galleries, was practically outside our door. Laura provided us with so much valuable information about shopping, dining, hiking (hiking Kasha-Katuwe Tent Rocks, Bandelier National Monument & the Atalaya Mountain Trail are not to missed) and a day trip to Taos on the High Road....and even helped us when we had trouble using the coffee maker. The saddest thing of our trip was learning that Laura did not have VRBO's in other cities because she definitely provided us with an amazing lodging experience and a Thanksgiving to remember!"
