  • A bit of Heaven

"What a wonderful cabin for a glorious getaway on the Oswegatchie. Everything about this warm, cozy cabin turned out to be better than expected. We love kayaking, and the launch point at the end of the driveway provided us with miles of pristine, flatwater adventures. Ralph was the perfect host who took the time to personally make sure we had the best experience possible. We recommend this highly and look forward to returning soon."

  • Cozy welcoming wonderful place

"We stayed Christmas week...the home was so beautifully decorated for the holidays...we just simply relaxed and did nothing..which was our plan! It was the perfect way to end the year & begin a new one. The home was stocked & the linens were crisp & clean. We loved everything about the house & would absolutely stay again."

  • Winter Wonderland Getaway

"Like most people I really enjoy when something meets my expectations. Heading into this trip I was expecting a traditional log cabin, on a private lot, with snow covered trees, and a nice wood fire. I'm happy to say Amy's cabin's blew away my expectations, which if you ask my wife is not easy to do. This cabin is simply AMAZING. The Northeast Canadian logs that construct the house are stunning. The living room, has 20 foot cathedral ceilings with some of the most comfortable furniture I have ever sat one. The fireplace area with stuffed game heads and a full size bear are perfect for the setting. The master bedroom sits atop the 2nd floor loft with views outside the windows of the living room. This was one of the BEST NIGHTS of SLEEP I have ever had. The home has radiant heat that comes up through the floors. I head nothing all night, so PEACEFUL. The KITCHEN is STATE OF THE ART. We cooked 3 full meals a day and the pantry had every piece of kitchen equipment that we could imagine. The Dining areas are masterful with picnic style tables and an Adirondack light fixture, it just screams Country. The basement has an amazing bar and pool table area. We brought our 2 year old son, and he had an unbelievable time. The house is equip with a ton of kids toys, games. Although my son spend hours just putting the balls in the pocket of the pool table. The owner AMY is the best and is there to meet any special request. We had over a foot of snow on our first day, and she was there shoveling and snow plowing the property. Her son Gage was home from school because of the snow, and he was laying a helping hand with the shoveling. She is a very likeable owner and it is evident that she cares very much about this property. The place was spotless upon our arrival and you can tell that the owner takes great care of this property. This is the perfect getaway for anyone looking for some R&R. I look forward to making a return trip in the winter of 2016."

  • Wonderful vacation cottage on Willsboro Bay/Lake Champlain

"This was one of the most pleasant vacation cottages I have ever rented. The size is perfect for 2 to 6 people and it is extremely clean and comfortable in every way. The kitchen has everything you need for preparing great meals, the living room is very homey and there is a great view of the lake from almost every room of the cottage. I appreciated having cable TV, internet and good cell phone reception. The bathroom is modern with a wonderful shower and the beds are extremely comfortable. The house is located right on the shore of Willsboro Bay and has an amazing view north into Lake Champlain and a view west so you can see the Metroliner snake through the mountains on its way to Montreal. The dock is great for boating but it's also wonderful for pulling out at chair and reading a good book or just watching the light change over the water. Swimming is excellent here because the bottom is sandy and the water very clear. Also, it's protected because speed boats do not come into the area except to dock. The town of Willsboro is fairly quiet, but very pretty and has a variety of very accessible activities - a lovely 9 hole golf course, well-maintained public tennis courts and nearby hiking. There are two market/gas stations close by with all the necessities and excellent meat counters, so you don't have to go far for groceries. The two close-by marinas have restaurants, so dining out is convenient. Bicycling is perfect along Corlear Drive because it's fairly flat with very little car traffic. The owner was very personable, responsive and very pleasant to work with. What more can I say? I can't wait for next summer!"
