Historic, Grade II listed ground floor apartment with a riverside location, recently renovated the apartment combines modern luxury and design with some quirky original features. It's city centre location makes it perfect for leisure or business.

The open plan living area has lots of natural daylight and is the epitome of comfort, with everything you could need to make any stay a pleasure. The large double bedroom has a glorious comfy king sized bed and plenty of storage and again lots of natural light, the fully tiled shower room has a luxurious feel.

The living room has a flat screen smart TV, DVD player and an Xbox so if there's nothing on the TV there's always games to play!

The city centre location makes the apartment perfect for exploring York, with a great choice of restaurants, bars & attractions on your doorstep.

Permit parking is included for 1 car in the nearby council car parks (approximately 5-10 minutes walk away).

Really nice central apartment,

Really enjoyed the stay. Central for everything, 5 mins to The Shambles (though as you can expect, was some street noise but not excessive). Everything you could need provided, clean, comfortable.

Wonderful Stay at the city centre of York

Great location for a short break

This lovely light airy clean apartment is ideally located for a city break. We loved the fact that you could pop back during the day and be so close to the city centre. The apartment was comfortable and provided all we needed. We will be back again. Communication with Stays York was excellent.

Lovely flat in a great location. Beautiful terrace out back as well. Lots of great to do in an organized folder left for guests. Only gave 3 stars for check in due to not receiving check in instructions before our arrival which left us standing on the street for a bit. I believe it should have been automated but something to make sure you get.Again, absolutely amazing flat and would stay again if back in the area.

Excellent location in an okay apartment

The apartment is located in a beautiful street very close to the old town if not even part of it already. Shops and restaurants are closeby. Checkin went smoothly, parking was included and not far away. It was quite cold outside, so we struggled to heat up the apartment. The bedroom in this groundfloor flat was quite a bit noisy from the street. We planned on making good use of the kitchen. It was well well equipped on a basic standard. However basic staples like a kitchen roll, oil, salt, and pepper werent provided, but supermarkets are close. Unfortunately the dishwasher didnt work, as we realized on the last day.

Street facing windows apartment in great location

I enjoyed the apartment. It has nice style and a very comfortable bed. The location is as close as you can get to the shambles and the center of York. The shower was nice and had strong water pressure. The only drawback that was irksome for my partner was the fact that the apartment is street facing so the people passing at all hours can be loud. I wear earplugs so I didn’t have much of a problem but she had a hard time sleeping. I would book it as a solo traveler due to the location.

Overall we were very satisfied

This apartment is superbly located and an ideal size for a couple. There is a fair bit of road noise but that didn't bother us too much. We were initially surprised to be informed that our service clean would be fortnightly instead of weekly as advertised and stated in the welcome folder. However Stays York did rectify this at our request which we appreciated. This was the second time we have stayed in this apartment and overall it met our needs and we were very satisfied. Stays York were always helpful and very responsive to any queries.

On arrival the property looked really nice. We soon discovered that we couldn’t get most channels on the TV (not even the news). There was only 1bowl so we had to take turns at eating cereal for breakfast. There was no replacement bin liners for when one was full and whilst I know this is not something the owners can control the noise level with people returning home in the early hours and the refuse collection happening around 7am most mornings was very off putting . All of this would led me to not recommend this location to others

Great place to stay in York!

Clean, attractive apartment in walking distance to the Shambles, Jorvik Center, and Exhibition Square with Art Gallery and Minster. Just like the listing. Bed was soft but comfortable. Shower had good water pressure and temperature control. Reliable WiFi. Tesco Local very close. Restaurants and shops all along the block. Parking was somewhat inconvenient, close but difficult path with luggage. If you are a light sleeper, bring earplugs because there's street and sidewalk noise just on the other side of the windows. Minor stuff: No shower necessities other than towels. No salt or pepper or oil in the kitchen.

Convenient & comfortable

The apartment was just as advertised. It was a convenient walking distance to York attractions, the grocery store and shopping. Only 2 steps into the building and 1 step into the bathroom. I say this because I am limited in the amount of walking I can handle in a day but I was able to walk everywhere from the apartment. It was comfortable with enough room for 2 people. I had a minor issue with a curtain rod it was handled professionally & immediately. The booklet explaining miscellaneous things about the apartment was well organized. I would suggest adding a page about how to operate the washing machine. I figured it out eventually. I enjoyed my stay and would not hesitate to book here again.

Lovely appartment

Great little appartment in York. Perfect location for exploring York and has everything you would need. It is a little bit noisy at night but nothing too bad just people walking past. Great customer service from stays york. Before hand replied straight away to all my emails. I rang up earlier in the day to ask if we could check in early. They rang the owner to make sure it was ready and rang me straight back. We also had an issue with the washing machine and they had someone come take a look at it the same day.

Great stay

Great apartment plenty big enough for two. Clean and tidy, kitchen fully equipped even with the egg cups which are very often missing from other holidays have been on. If was going to be really picky, the sofa was a bit uncomfortable after a while and a tv in the bedroom would be nice but these are personal preferences. Will be looking to book again, so thanks again for a great stay.

Several items need replacing. The toaster didn't work. The pillows are very thin. The colander is broken & there are insufficient pans of a large size. However, the property was clean & comfortable, though wouldn't say it was luxurious.

This is our second stay in the apartment. It is ideally located for York Minster,The Shambles,York Market and many other York attractions. It is kept warm by central heating and the facilities are all there,including cooker,kettle,toaster,fridge and even a dishwasher!!

Perfect location highly recommend

This says it all: we planned to be there for a month but ended up staying for almost three. The condo is in the middle of the city and a short walk to everything - grocery, shops, restaurants, tourist sites. No need for a car. The kitchen is well equipped, the place is bright and airy, and the owners very nice. Would be hard to find a better place in a more central location that this one. We hope to return in the future!

Lovely, clean apt. Just as advertised. Only 2 steps into building. Easy walking distance to York attractions. Kitchen had everything I needed including washing machine. Great shower. Would stay here again with no hesitation. Only one recommendation, a small portable clothes drying rack would have been helpful to place wet clothes by the beautiful breeze coming through the window. Thank you.
