Glorious Rooftop Views

A lovely place to stay in York with amazing rooftop views, and so convenient being based in the city centre. Everything you could possibly need in the apartment as well. Loved my stay here and will definitely be returning again!

GREAT LOCATION. This is a beautifully renovated apartment directly across from the Shambles. It was tastefully done with a nod to the past. Very clean and well stocked. Check in and check out were easy. The management team was very responsive. We would love to stay there anytime we may be back in York.

Such an amazing location, and for being so central we weren't disturbed in our sleep at all! The view of the church tower from the bath was a real bonus. When we stayed we did have a wee issue with the blinds not all responding to the controller, and when we folded the sofa-bed out it was clear it hadn't been hoovered as thoroughly as it could have been BUT overall we really enjoyed our stay and loved being so close to all the fun things York has to offer!

The apartment was lovely and well equipped and the location was excellent. Our only negative comments would be for the standard of the cleanliness which requires more attention to detail, the quality of the bedding & location of mirrors.The walls and woodwork were quite grubby in places and quite a few cobwebs higher up on walls and the bathroom extractor fan was very dusty & dirty. There was a lot of dirt under the freestanding bath which had obviously been missed on the floor clean.The bedding was OK but the mattress protector didn't fit properly and it would have benefitted from a fitted sheet rather than a loose bottom sheet. The pillows were very good. As a suggestion, a larger mirror above the sink in the bathroom in addition to the small magnifying mirror would have been both useful and compliment the decor of the bathroom. Some kind of dressing table with mirror would also be recommended as there was nowhere to sit and dry hair in front of a mirror. The only option was to sit on the floor in the hallway and use the mirror there which was rather uncomfortable. None of the above comments detracted from our stay and are mostly suggestions which we feel would enhance the property and guest's experiences.We would stay again as thoroughly enjoyed our visit to York and the stay in No 8 Rowntree House.

Great stay in York

Lovely apartment woth everything you need except a big enough bed for 2 The bed are really too, too small for 2 adults. Recommend to have that changed. I can only recommend booking this aparment if the bed are changed. The tv was also broken with a flimmering steipe across the screen. Other than that, I cannot come up with anything negative.

Great location

This flat has a great location centre of York Flat was decorated to high standard Only faults was all the stairs to climb 70 steps to this flat. The lane it was situated on attracted homeless people who sat on the door step daily The television reception was very bad it flickered constantly
