Just four miles from downtown and an easy 2 mile bike ride to Zilker Park plus walking distance to the Green Belt, tons of bars, restaurants, iconic taco trucks and coffee shops - and yet, there's no need to leave the beautiful, private setting with a large swimming pool and live oak trees.

The Space
This spacious home is tucked in the Barton Oaks neighborhood on 0.25 acres in the heart of South Austin. The open floor plan is great for social gatherings; the house has an ample kitchen with new appliances and very comfortable bedrooms and bathrooms. The house includes a large, private backyard where you won't want to miss the sunset overlooking the pool! Grill out, chill out and soak in the sun, Austin-style. Includes BBQ grill, cooking equipment, washer/dryer, towels, sheets and toiletries. Inflatable mattress available upon request. Great hammock for relaxing naps!

Approx. 4 miles from downtown, 2.5 miles from the iconic South Congress shops, restaurants and bars, 2 miles from Zilker Park/Lady Bird Lake, short distance to the Green Belt and can walk to tons of bars, restaurants, taco trucks and coffee shops both down S. Lamar and Manchaca.

Wonderful Stay!!

3 Generations of our family stayed over Formula 1 Grand Prix weekend (all adults). The location was great! I was not familiar with Austin and was so glad to find everything we needed so close! We enjoyed the pool on that HOT weekend and all the amenities offered in the house were outstanding. We appreciated the small details like plenty of towels and even bug spray for those evenings out on the back patio. The neighborhood was quiet and very friendly (dog walkers always greeted us with a friendly welcome). We had a great time and HIGHLY recommend! We very much enjoyed out stay!

The house is nicely decorated, and the patio and backyard are great, with lots of trees, squirrels, and bluejays! Cute neighborhood with easy access to downtown. It was a nice staycation :-)

Overall we had a great stay and the house worked out very well for us. The only issue we had was related to the garbage disposal usage and the sink not draining. We were not told that we shouldn't put food in the disposal and the sink then backed up and there was a block in the drain. We did lose our deposit as a result which was frustrating as the picture that was sent looked to be more due to long term blockage versus anything recent. The hosts were great to work with otherwise and the set up and location was great!

What a beautiful home and tranquil backyard. Just what we needed for a long weekend. Loved watching the birds while having coffee in the morning and floating in the shaded pool in the afternoons. The hosts Albert and Carla are AWESOME! The house is beautiful and the backyard is incredible. The setting sun is amazing to watch from the back porch! The kitchen was so much fun being open to the living room and the view, Our puppies enjoyed it all as well. The location is perfect. Thank you for a great vacation! We want to move to Austin!

Great ACL getaway!

My husband and another couple stayed here for ACL. It is a great house. Love the kitchen, it has all up to date appliances. Nice layout and very modern. Everything you need for entertaining, cooking and such was there for our convenience. We had a great stay. Pool was nice but a couple of draw backs. The pool is under huge Oak Trees that were dropping acorns (alot of acorns) which hurts when you step on and they filled the bottom of pool, but the owners were so responsive that they had someone come and clean the pool for our picky selves. The dropping of acorns is seasonal so other dates should be fine. The pool is also dated in look but its incredibly relaxing. The location of the house is good, short drive to many of Austin attractions, eateries, and grocery stores. We took Lyft as it was easier and had no problems with them finding house. Quiet neighborhood which is really nice after a noisy festival. This is the owner's personal house which was a first for me, so there wasn't alot of storage or closets for personal belongings. But the place was unbelievable clean and so nice,I really couldn't believe it was someone's home. Its very impressive. Thanks for the stay.

Great location, lovely home!

We had a grand time in Austin while staying at this property. The house is lovely with plenty of room for us which included 2 couples and a toddler. We also had our dogs with us! Carla is great and super easy to work with. I would definitely recommend this home for a wonderful Austin getaway!

The backyard is fabulous with beautiful live oak trees and a relaxing pool for cooling off in the Texas heat.
