Casa de campo tradicional de 2 dormitorios que admite mascotas en Cornwall con increíbles vistas al río

Fal River Cottage es una de las cabañas originales y tradicionales de Malpas y se remonta a la época victoriana.

Comenzó su vida como una cabaña 'uno arriba, uno abajo' con un baño exterior. Desde entonces, se ha extendido un par de veces y se ha renovado recientemente (junio de 2019).

La cabaña disfruta de las vistas más increíbles del río, por lo que es ideal para aquellos que buscan un tiempo de inactividad relajante. También está idealmente ubicado cerca de Truro, por lo que es ideal para explorar todo Cornwall.

La cabaña tiene un salón amplio y luminoso que se abre hacia el patio delantero donde puede disfrutar de su desayuno, viendo salir el sol sobre el río. También tenemos una nueva cocina en la planta baja que se beneficia de todos los utensilios de cocina e instalaciones que esperaría de una cocina moderna.

El dormitorio principal de arriba es un doble amplio y luminoso con dos ventanas que dan al río.

El segundo dormitorio es una habitación pequeña cama individual, que se abre al jardín trasero.

El jardín cuenta con dos nuevas áreas de descanso para disfrutar de las vistas del río en privado. (un área cubierta y un patio).

El servicio cercano de botes fluviales permite a los huéspedes dejar su automóvil en casa cuando visitan lugares como Trelissick Gardens, St. Mawes y Falmouth. También hay excelentes caminatas desde Malpas. Y con el pub local a solo tres puertas de distancia, ¿qué más se puede pedir?

A lovely cottage in a beautiful part of Cornwall.

The view is beautiful, the cottage is lovely with a nice area at the front to sit out. There are plenty of places to visit in this part of the county, and the best thing of all is that it is three doors down from the Heron, That is always worth a visit.

A beautiful cottage overlooking the River Fal

Would recommend this two bed cosy cottage to everyone that can cope with steps, as fairly steep. The views from the lounge and main bedroom are amazing. There are even better views if you go up the steps outside ( fairly steep ) but well worth the effort ! The cottage is warm and cosy especially when you light the wood burner The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need. The Heron pub two doors down is a friendly welcoming pub with excellent food, but book as it’s very busy.

Beautiful location and cottage.

We were two Australian friends, first time in Cornwall and the cottage was perfect with lovely views, a deck to sit outside on and cosy/traditional inside which we loved. The host was super friendly and gave clear instructions and help all the way through, with tips for us of things to do that really suited us. They even had scones with jam and cream for us when we arrived, which was such a nice touch. Overall we loved our stay and it was hard to leave!

Perfect cottage,stunning location

Our 2 night stay at the cottage was perfect, everything was exactly as described and what a stunning view! We were lucky with weather so could sit outside for breakfast and were joined by a very friendly Robin, couldn’t have asked for a nicer property or a mire lovely weekend 😊

The cottage is fantastic and the view stunning!!! The owner was brilliant about communicating although we hardly had any queries but every question was answered promptly! We loved our stay, would highly recommend Fal River Cottage and plan to go back!

We enjoyed our New Year break at Fall Cittage, Malpas. The location is perfect with fabulous views of the river estuary. The local pub is a matter of metres away and is well worth visiting. Excellent food and very friendly staff.

Excellent cottage, amazing location

We had a wonderful relaxing week the location is fantastic. Views, walks, kayaking from jetty, boat trip to Falmouth. Oh and more views ! Cottage brilliantly designed and executed. Gardens superb. Information top notch. Very comfortable (would prefer a bigger bed). Dog had a wonderful week too. Thank you.

A wonderful stay

The cottage is exceptionally well located and excellently appointed. The management is efficient and personal. We had a wonderful few days. The only slight criticism is that the dining table could not be moved from the little kitchen to the living room. We had a couple visit us for dinner and it was too cold to eat outside (from which the views are stunning)

Truly spectacular location

Beautifully well presented cottage in a stunning location , Owner was very helpful throughout and we could not have asked for for. Parking outside was great for us , but I guess it could be a challenge at the height of summer with the Heron 3 doors away. Location was perfect for exploring south west Cornwall with many local walks if you don’t want to travel. The steps up to the Cottage are steep for those less able ( the Owner does point this out in the Cottage information ) but apart from that , perfection !!

A very comfortable short break

Myself and my best friend stayed here for a long weekend break. It was my present to her for her 60th birthday, We just wanted to chill & chat really. We popped to the pub three doors away for food and refreshments of course, but apart from that we sat in comfort in front of the lovely log burner and chatted and laughed. We had so much catching up to do. The view was spectacular and the facilities in the cottage were excellent. Plenty of lovely walks to do in the area if you like that sort of thing but for what we wanted, comfort and warmth, this cottage was perfect. Phil is a very helpful and friendly host. He provided some lovely Cornish treats for us which were very much enjoyed. Another special memory now we created of our time at Fal River Cottage,

Beautiful views of the river

The cottage is in the most beautiful position where the rivers meet. The tiered patios behind the cottage are wonderful and very comfortable seating made for a lovely evening with a glass of wine and watching river life. The bedrooms and beds are comfortable but we struggled being in a double bed on a warm evening, we are just used to a bigger bed. The kitchen is beautifully done, a couple of ovenware dishes would have been useful, but we managed none the less. We had a couple of evenings watching TV but we personally found the new chair and sofa very uncomfortable (different to the photos) which was a shame.Huge range of games and books, the fabulous Heron Inn on your doorstep and a trip down the river to Falmouth completed our stay. Phil was very attentive and couldn’t fault the service he gave and even arranged to send a Teddy that got left behind! Thank you for the delicious cream tea, it started the week off beautifully.

Beautiful Malpas

We spent a lovely week in beautiful Malpas. The cottage was very nice and in the best position! Very dog friendly everywhere and an enjoyable walk into Truro. Lots of time spent at The Heron! The cottage provided a great base and was really nicely decorated. Just a couple of things that may have made it even better - we found the bed a little small, probably because we’re used to a much bigger one, but the room is so spacious it could definitely take a bigger bed. A DVD player might be good, we didn’t spend much time looking at the TV but had taken some DVD’s to have a couple of nights in (to keep costs down) and there really wasn’t anything on TV. I think it would also be useful to have the information the owner provided about the cottage and surrounding area on a laminated sheet in the cottage, it’s a bit of a pain to try and read it on a small mobile screen. Lastly PARKING ! Not fun driving up and down trying to find somewhere to dump the car, especially when it’s a big wide one like ours. I understand there’s nothing that can be done about this but you need to be fully aware of how difficult and stressful it can be. We were lucky and made friends with a local who very kindly offered us a parking spot on their driveway at the top of the village. All in all we had a very enjoyable holiday in a beautiful area

An ever changing view

We had a lovely week in the stunning spot, the views were stunning with multiple places to enjoy them Great walks and beaches nearby and a brilliant (dog friendly) pub next door The accommodation was comfortable and contact with the host was quick, easy and friendly Can’t recommended this place enough

We just fell in love with the views from Malpas and jumped at the chance to buy a cottage which benefits from those views. We've stayed in the cottage ourselves on several occasions and never get bored of the views. We try to get to the cottage when we don't have guests staying. However, we underestimated how popular it would be since it is usually fully booked from March through to October. However, we do enjoy our winter trips to the cottage as there's always something happening in nearby Truro and we love the dog walks along the river.

We're located just three doors down from the very popular Heron Inn. Most of our guests enjoy at least one meal at the pub during their stay.

We also benefit from three different (outdoor) seating areas to make the most of those views.
