Lewis, I hope you know how much we love knowing your family once again chose to celebrate Labor Day at On The Rocks! Your crew knows every nook and cranny of the 6200 acres at BRMC after your many visits. That certainly sounds like the definition of the importance of ‘Creating Traditions and Memories’ we keep reading about. What a gift you have given your family~ I hope your team enjoyed the pool, which still feels new to us, and the redesigned Tree House bunkbeds. We just added a railing to the short side of the porch steps, similiar to the railing on the long side end. I don’t know about y’all, but over here we’re all getting older as the Labor Days fly by. Happy, Happy Fall, Thanks again, Angela

Chris, these are the cutest pics ever, thank you for including them in your review! We are delighted the On The Rocks layout worked for you and yours. Since I’m ‘ole school, your phrase….to close out our summer….made me stop and think. Just bec/ I remember summer ending/school starting the day after Labor Day, doesn’t make it so in today’s world. So glad you were able to squeeze in a family gathering before the August school bell rang. Loved having ya’ll, hope you can circle back again sometime. Hope all your students have a wonderful 2026-2027 school year! All A’s, ha ha, AMH

Thanks Carolyn, We’re so glad you & yours enjoyed the community & it’s many amenities! God was surely showing out when he layered those breathtaking ‘blue’ mountains just off the back deck for us to enjoy and marvel at. Visiting Ricky’s aunt while we dated in the 80’s was the first time I ever saw the Blue Ridge Mountains, I’m still just as fascinated and awe struck by them 50 years later. So glad you enjoyed them as well! We hope to have you visit again, Thx, A

Congratulations to your new App State graduate, all the best to them for good health, happiness and success as they walk towards their exciting future! Thank you for making On The Rocks your graduation weekend home base. We’re delighted your family enjoyed their campus time as well as their mountain time. Know it was a busy time, thanks for the review, anytime the word ‘perfect’ shows up, we are appreciative and humbled. Go Gettum’ Graduate, Angela

We loved having your gang at On The Rocks enjoying those beautiful western NC mountains for a long weekend. Thx for the kitchen compliment, I’m more a heater upper, so it’s nice to hear you found everything you needed for yummy real meal preparing and serving. I promise to replace the crock pot before your next visit. The one there is just like mine growing up in the 70’s. Being the huge sentimentalist that I am, as long as it went High / Low / Off we kept it. I have learned that crock pots have more chef-friendly features these days and will be picking one up. Thx for choosing On The Rocks for your getaway, all the best to everyone. Thx, A

Thanks for taking the time to send a review Chris! SYK your family receives our “Most Active Guests We’ve Had In A Long Time’ Award. Congratulations! The only option ya’ll missed was the Olympic size pool, which didn’t open until after your stay! Had it been available, no doubt your gang would have been lapping it up…..pun intended. It’s wonderful to see a family so intentionally fitness committed, taking advantage of all the BRMC community offerings. Hats off to you and yours, here’s to the healthiest fall and 2027 ever! Thanks again for choosing On The Rocks, hope to see you again! Inspired, AMH

Well Tim we loved having you and yours as usual too! So glad your active mountain travelers can take advantage of all the on-property offerings. We’ll leave the light on for ya if your 2026 schedule allows you to route back this way, Hope so! A

Thanks for taking the time to review, you & yours all have a full plate and I’m sure jumped right into finishing up the school year when you returned home. I agree with you, one of the best things about the 6200 acres of the Blue Ridge Mountain Club are the wide open grassy fields scattered about and the e z for all Nick -a-Jack trail just below the house. It’s wonderful to hear kids’ excited voices from the deck as their family makes the Nick-a-Jack trek. These days, seeing kids playing tag and hide/seek, flying a kite, skipping a rock doesn’t happen near as much as it used to. We’re so glad your time at On The Rocks gave all the kiddos that opportunity. Anytime ‘awesome, perfect, easy to work with, house has everything we needed’ shows up in a review, we are humbled & thankful. All the best to all the travelers….young and grown. Always, A

Well, we absolutely LOVED having you as guests! So glad you made the trek to the Blue Hole, isn’t that a lovely, interesting water feature just below the house? That huge pool is a new amenity @ BRMC, glad your gang enjoyed it as well. Thanks for the kind words, see you again soon, PIckle, Pickle, A

Yay! Hearing your family had a great time together here.... then mission accomplished! Thank you again for choosing On The Rocks as your fall gathering spot, we look forward to having y'all return, A

Well we loved having your family there! Thank you for making On The Rocks your home base for your western NC mountain vacation. For us ‘below the fall line’ southerners, it’s mind-blowing that BRMC could design and create such a beautiful, amenity-filled community on top of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Amazing, so glad you thought so as well. See you next time, A

Sometimes ‘quick and fun’, with today’s busy schedules is all the time we have…..so why not make the most of it? So glad you and yours found time to explore and enjoy the breathtaking long range Blue Ridge Mountains along with our community’s high end amenities. Having Ascent Wellness Center, LooKOut Grill, hiking trails and PICKLE BALL all within walking distance sure seems a great way to both save & maximize time together. Thanks for trusting On The Rocks with your 72 hours! A

Isn’t the Blue Ridge Mountain Club the best??? With the LookOut Grill, Wellness Center, Views, Trails, Pickle Ball, Pool, Views, Pavilion, Views…..did I say Views?!?!?! What a wonderful job they have done turning those 6400 acres into a perfect family gathering spot. We’re delighted you and yours enjoyed our home and the BRMC amenities, come back anytime! Angela & Ricky

We agree Sean! Blue Ridge Mountain Club with their Ascent Wellness Center, PickleBall Courts, LookOut Grill, Fire Garden, Hiking Trails, multi-state views and green spaces is a treasure of a Community. We are delighted you & yours enjoyed it all! Come back anytime, A

Thanks for the kind words Jim, we loved having y’all visit. With their 6200 acres, Blue Ridge Mountain Club has positioned themselves as the premiere family friendly western NC mountain resort…..from PickleBall to basketball to hiking trails to The Blue Hole to The LookOut Grill to the gorgeous Ascent workout facility to the long long range views..there really is something for everyone, even those whose idea of luxury is just ‘sitting & reading on the porch’! Thanks for choosing On The Rocks, we look forward to having you return. A

We love hearing you and your friends enjoyed the togetherness and the privacy offered @ On The Rocks! The home was built for parties just like yours, with each couple having a private bedroom/bathroom for a relaxing end to a beautiful, active mountain day. I’m so glad you enjoyed at day in Blowing Rock. America’s Main Street, as it’s often referred to, It has something for everyone, flanked by gorgeous hanging baskets and lush, colorful flowers worked in among the locally owned stores. If guests ask should they visit BR, I say I know I’m biased, but you really haven’t experienced the western NC mountains until you walk end to end along U shaped Main Street savouring the safety, beauty, history & creativity it offers. So glad your gang agrees! Happy 2026, we hope to have you back again, A

Thank you for the kind words, it was a pleasure having you and yours enjoy time together @ On The Rocks! A

We’re so glad the On The Rocks design worked well for your family! We love having friends & families gather to enjoy the inside comfort and the outside massive majesty. Thanks for taking the time to review, we look forward to hosting you again, A

Hi Louise, Thank you for the kind review and all the advance planning you did designing a 'great' getaway for five couples. That's not an easy lift dealing with vrbo, driving directions, planning meals, fishing, dinner reservations.....everything. Great job back at ya! Thank you again for choosing On The Rocks from the 1000's of rental homes out there, we'd love to have y'all return! Happy Fall, A

We’re so glad you enjoyed your On The Rocks time. It’s wonderful to have a chance to escape the August heat and trade it for a cooler, multi-state view. Here in Georgia we don’t dare open the doors to the porch in August, without expecting a heat stroke. Thanks for the kind words, hope the rest of 2023 ends on a high note for you and yours. Fall is coming! A
