Mermaids Retreat was exactly as promised, clean unit in a great location. Close to everything. We really enjoyed our stay here.

Very comfortable one bedroom suit on the border on Chinatown and the old town, directly on the harbor. With a great view of the Johnson street bridge.

Month stay in Victoria downtown for visiting relatives , sightseeing & R&R . Great lodging , beautiful views within walking distance of all of downtown and city bus connections , close to many restaurants and several great brewpubs . Condo was clean very well equipped ( probably the best kitchen we have had ever in a VRBO . Murphy bed was comfortable. All in all a good value for a long stay. Host was also spot on.

This is a super cute condo, perfect for a family or couple. The owner is incredibly responsive, the kitchen is very well stocked, and the view of the harbor is gorgeous. The condo construction next door is loud from 7:30am-4:30pm, but access to Chinatown is great. REALLY appreciated the owner's flexibility with check in

Long weekend stay

We visited for a long weekend. Grace was wonderful to work with. She was able to accommodate our early arrival which was so very much appreciated The condo was perfect for us. We chose to visit without a car (the condo does have a parking space) and were within walking distance of everything we wanted to do. Coming from land-locked Alberta, I particularly loved listening to the harbour sounds. For our next visit to Victoria, our first step will be checking availability with Grace!

Overall nice little place, however needs some TLC. The Bed was not to my liking. Out of three places I stayed this was not my favourite. The big benefit was the location.

Location is everything you need

Just a short walk to all the close restaurant and shops! Very close if not right in china town! Host was amazing! The location has two beds and a small sectional. Murphy bed was a little hard to sleep on but didn’t effect our enjoyment! Apartment does run a little warm so opening windows helps and the fans provided did a great job! There’s also a nice deep soaked tub and access to a gorgeous patio upstairs overlooking the wharf! Both gorgeous at day and night time! We also didn’t hear any of the construction what so ever! This is def a little gem! Book it! You will love your stay!

Went there with my mom (89). Friendly host met us at the door to hand over the keys and explain a bit about the property. The underground parking was clean and felt very safe. Residents were super friendly and helpful. Condo was as described, well stocked for cooking and anything you may need. Loved having the washer and dryer. The Murphy bed was very comfortable. The construction next door didn’t bother us except that it seemed to bring dust in and make the floors dirty. There was a trick to flushing the toilet and I think it should be fixed along with getting better lighting and providing a few more towels. Enjoyed the condo itself and the location. Would definitely go back.

Lovely location

This property is beautifully situated on the waterfront. There is a view of the “blue bridge”, which we actually got to see opening this time. We were in walking distance to Chinatown and from there the downtown and inner harbour. There is a lovely coffee shop close by and Craft is the bar/restaurant right across from the building. We will definitely be booking here again next year.

Super downtown location with views

Excellent apt and facilities with lovely side view of the harbour and new bridge. Perfect for the two of us. The location is superb with easy walking access to all of downtown. The price and info warned of the construction next door. There was a bit of noise but we found the main disadvantage was the lack of privacy. We were there during the hot October weather and we were very grateful for the two fans. Thanks and hope to stay with you again

Great view and location.

This is a great location close to everything and a very walkable area. Great view of the inner harbour. Owner was great with the check in. The condo could use some maintenance as in replacing light bulbs, better lighting in living room area. The underground parking was plus.

Great location but construction next door.

This is a nice property for location to access downtown by foot but although my husband Loved watching the construction next door beware noise starts as early as 7am though done by 4:30. Good for a couple or small family that likes to rise early on holidays. Great checking process…(key lockbox is just too small when checking out)

Well equipped kitchen from appliances ,dishes to utensils

Beautiful view, a bit noisy next door with construction, but we are early risers so no problem. Loved ability to make our breakfasts , close to restaurants and shopping. Nicely equipped kitchen with cooking and prep utensils Also supplied in addition was a coffee press and coffee. Nice views of water, Has air filter, fans which were helpful during warm weather.

short stay

It was less than advertised. Pictures are a little deceiving. Different furniture-not a comfortable place to hang out. TV never did work. But the location to downtown Victoria and the harbor is excellent. Definitely had everything we needed for our short stay. Host communicated promptly.

Vacation getaway

Not knowing the area of Victoria. You are sitting just outside Chinatown. Great Chinese food options but the best review for food is at the Jam Cafe just up the street from the apartment for breakfast. Fast service great food but don’t get there too late as it is most popular spot for breakfast. The tug Eatery is adjacent to the apartment as well so that that far to go for a burger and a beer. Probably the only disappointment was we could not get the TSN network on the TV as we wanted to relax and watch a football game. Other then that I would come back. Thanks
