This VRBO rental property is 3,200 square feet and is located on the first level of a 5,000 square foot, multi-million-dollar home directly on the Sudden Valley golf course.

This amazing rental space boasts stunning views of the Sudden Valley golf course, Lake Whatcom, and the gorgeous foothills across the lake from the valley.

The property is the largest and most desirable home within the Sudden Valley community.

The beautifully decorated rental space is completely private with absolutely NO shared spaces, with both a private entrance and parking.

The property has high 13-foot ceilings, three large bedrooms with queen-size beds, two full bathrooms, an exercise bike, an elliptical machine, a movie theater/media room with an XBOX, surround sound, and six leather reclining lounge chairs.

There is also a Sonos sound system throughout the rental property, controlled by a mounted IPAD or your smartphone.

This rental has a nice kitchen area with everything a family needs to prepare meals, including a two-burning electric stove top, Instant Pot, microwave oven, hot plate, two large toaster ovens, three coffee makers, slow cooker/electric pot, and a toaster. George Foreman indoor/outdoor grill, and outdoor BBQ,

The rental also has a medium-sized refrigerator, a washer, and a dryer.

The outdoor space features beautiful patio furniture, a fire pit, a dining table, chairs, and a hot tub seating six people overlooking the beautiful foothills, golf course, and lake.

This property offers the BEST view of Lake Whatcom and the Sudden Valley golf course from every room in the property.

The rental has a medium-sized refrigerator, along with a washer and dryer.

The rental property is located on Lake Whatcom, offering 12 miles of clean, glacier-fed water, and is perfect for paddleboarding, kayaking, canoeing, jet skiing, sailing, boating, and fishing.

The rental property is also perfect for that winter ski getaway, with just a short drive to Mt. Baker.

This property also overlooks the first green of one of the most beautiful and scenic golf courses in Washington state, the Sudden Valley Golf Course.

The front nine of the Sudden Valley golf course is relatively open and flat and borders the shores of Lake Whatcom. Fairway landing areas are relatively generous, and the greens are large.

However, the back nine follows a ridge uphill with narrow evergreen-fringed fairways and smaller greens that have more character. (Please See the Video Link)

The Sudden Valley community offers activities for all ages, including parks, playgrounds, tennis courts, basketball courts, pickleball courts, a fitness center, two pools, four beaches, two off-leash dog parks, as well as miles of hiking and biking trails, all within the community.

The property is beautiful, the house is spacious and well equipped with anything you could need. The hosts were very helpful and communicative throughout our stay. We really loved the movie theater! I enjoyed waking up to the mountain view. My Mom is in a wheelchair, there is a steep incline from the driveway to the bottom patio for a short distance, which the host communicated to us. She did need assistance to go up and down this. There was a small lip at the patio door besides that the property was accessible to my mother except the movie theater area which has a large step into the room. Overall, a wheelchair is able to comfortably navigate around the property once you're down there. Hope that helps someone else!!Thank you Nicole & Jason for hosting our family and making sure our stay was comfortable!

Checking in was easy. The view to the golf course was beautiful & we had a couple of deer around the back of the house. We all enjoyed the theater room. One believes that booking this Vrbo you will have the whole house to yourself because booking doesn’t say it’s a shared space. We never had this happen in our entire experience of booking. Owner was very responsive and the jacuzzi was great. We all had a great time including our dog with lots of space to run.

Extremely nice place loaded with amenities! Views are gorgeous and the golf course and lake are amazing. We travel with our dogs and loved having the off leash area so close, not to mention all the hiking areas too. We loved our stay and will book again when we head back to Bellingham.

The location, peacefulness, and things to do for everyone (including the large off leash dog area and theatre room) was awesome and made the trip away from home absolutely wonderful. Super nice vacation spot

Check in and out was easy. Super big private spot. Had a wonderful time on a mini vacation in Bellingham. Was super irritated at first cuz Media room didn't work. After I got some rest I figured it out. The media room was super awesome. Got to watch movies on a big private theatre. Best part was relaxing during a cold night in the hot tub. Will definitely want this place again if I come to Bellingham

House was nice overall. Hot tub and view were great. Bed in the master was extremely uncomfortable (way too firm, and I prefer firm mattresses but this was extreme), and neither shower had good water pressure. We also had to carry one of our dogs down to the little grassy part of the yard - she's 15 and the hill was just way too steep for her.

I wish I could have stayed longer. A beautiful house and a beautiful setting, had everything we needed for our quick overnight. Easy check-in. Everything was super clean, the hot tub was ready to go, and the movie theater was super cozy. The host was very responsive when questions came up. Would definitely return for a longer stay next time.

This is everything you would want in a place to stay. Not only was it everything that was promised, but unexpected details were a great surprise. Summer Stay

Beautiful and relaxing. Two words that describe completely this delightful home. Morning coffee on the patio overlooking a gorgeous golf course and serene lake. perfect spot for a girls night in!

A group of us Moms (4 of us) booked this home for a girls night and we had the best time! It was such a nice place, beautiful view and had plenty of room for us. It was dumping rain so we didn't use the hot tub (one friend did jump in briefly in the morning), but having it was one of the reasons we chose this home. The media room was to die for, and we enjoyed cozying up for a movie night after talking for hours in the comfy living room. Great hostess, I will be keeping this in mind for any future getaways!

Sudden Valley summer - golf course

I think it is important for the renters to know is that the renting portion of the house is actually a basement. The site shows and picture of the whole house and refers to 5000 sf, but the owner stays on the first level and the bottom partly in the ground portion of the house is being rented. there is no AC and I felt the house is overpriced and left a day early. The location is really nice.

Great Family Reunion!

The rental property is located on the golf course with lake view and just a short walk to the lakes shore, swings, dog park and boat ramp. It dog heaven down there! Great roped area for swimming. The property is the lower part of a very large house. Separate entrance from the upper rental. Hot tub was great! Best for small family or small group that isn’t planning on cooking a lot, as the fridge, stove and cooktop are small. Theater room is cool! Guests can use the community pool but it does cost a small day fee. You must bring your own towel. The owner is very Friendly and communicative! We would love to return and stay longer.

Bellingham Visit

The property was awesome - right on the golf course, close to downtown Bellingham. The only real problem was lack of communication of where the key was located, no book or instructions on the internet/Wi-Fi connection, how to work the lights in the house (very state-of-the-art system), & what we must do on departure?? Typical guidance that is usually available. Even though The owner lived in the upper level of the house, we did not make contact. I could not get into my VRBO app because I forgot my password & could not get good Wi-Fi reception on my phone. So we made do, had a great visit w/my granddaughter who goes to WWU, & would love to stay at house again w/more communication, which could be my fault as much as anyone else!

Misrepresentation

Please be aware of this property. Make sure to get claim insurance because this owner claims damage when the property was already damaged upon arrival. Hot tub is not covered Gym equipment doesn’t work only the elliptical Only a hot plate so don’t plan on cooking big meals for family. Dog barking upstairs and owner in and out blocking the driveway so you can’t load or unload your belongings. A very steep driveway to walk down to get to their basement. The owner claimed damage so beware and we did nit even use the treadmill other than turn it on because it wouldn’t work. I am sad that there is no honesty in rentals anymore. Even after leaving the property cleaner than when we arrived. I have used VRBO for years and this is the first time I have been disappointed in the ownership of this property. I hope I am heard so that you can tread lightly or not at all with false claims and dishonesty. Sincerely, Danielle

A Real Gem

We are a Grandma and Grandpa (70ish) with two grandkids (11 and 15) and a dog. I started looking for a place to get away on the Thursday before Memorial Day weekend (three nights). I found this place and was able to rent it starting the following day. Thank you, Nicole. As with any vacation rental, there were pros and cons. First the good. My son and his wife and baby daughter and dog joined us for our last night. This place accommodated all of us with no trouble. The patio overlooking the golf course was perfect. There is a large table with chairs, a couch and chairs around a lovely firepit, a grill, and a hot tub that was all fired up and ready for us. We ate all of our meals out there. The movie room was an incredible bonus. Even our one day of rain didn't keep us from walking to the marina and park. The not-so-good: This is a daylight basement apartment. The walkway down (not stairs) is steep. My legs were sore the day after we returned home, but that's a good thing! If you have mobility issues, this is not the place for you. The kitchen is challenging. Because of the pictures and description from Nicole, and a review from one disgruntled renter, I came prepared for this. Countertop space and a small sink were my biggest issues. There is an extra room/office that I used as an extension of the kitchen. Since there was no space for stacking dirty dishes next to the sink, I bought some paper plates and cups. Between the grill and the hot plate, I was able to cook some fabulous meals. We would love to come back again.

We were so thankful to stay with this host! We had an unexpected, last minute need for a local location and Nicole was so quick to respond and allowed us some flexibility on our departure day. Thank you!We were surprised to realize we were only renting the lower level. Admittedly, the information is in the listing, including pictures of the kitchen, which should have tipped me off ;)We had some difficulty with parking, having come with three vehicles for our family. We were requested to not park in front of the garage, which left us parked behind the owners vehicle in the driveway. This resulted in having to coordinate moving vehicles in the early morning, backing up and around a curved hill driveway and into a blind one way street. The hot tub was not filled, as advertised. It would have been lovely to use it, and honestly one of the reasons we chose this listing.The dishwasher was not hooked up to water. We didn’t realize this until our last day. Had I asked sooner, I’m confident Nicole would have corrected it. We didn’t have time to utilize all amenities - the golf course, gym, etc. But we did watch a few movies in the theater room and enjoyed that. We will come back again sometime when we can enjoy this gorgeous place for all it has to offer.

This property is very comfortable. We had an issue which the owners fixed promptly. Overall, an excellent experience. The media room was a hit with us. We would consider staying here again. minus 1 star for safety concerns. The walk around the house to the back of the house is a little steep. For someone over 60, this felt treacherous especially when carrying bags. A handrail would greatly improve this. There are also no rails for entering the showers and no anti slip mats in the showers. The 8 AM gardening session was not appreciated.

This is my second rental property, but I manage and host several properties. I fell in love with the beauty of Washington state and the since of community I feel in the Sudden Valley area. I traveled here from Florida, looking for the perfect lake view property. I can honestly say this property was love at first sight.

This property is the perfect vacation getaway with so many amenities and activities for the entire family, even the family dog. There is always something to do if you love the great outdoors. The property is in perfect condition, the view is spectacular and is walking distance to most amenities.

The Sudden Valley community is like living on a resort, offering the most amazing amenities a community has to offer. Starting with a large recreational and activities center, a library, fitness center, two large community pools (one of the pools is for adults only), four beaches, marina, three picnic areas, two dog parks, four tennis courts, pickle ball court, basketball court, volleyball court, soccer court and baseball diamond. Not to mention the most beautiful, scenic and challenging golf course in the Pacific Northwest.
