Coming to Atlanta for a week or a weekend? A business conference or a family vacation? Looking for a great "think" space for a business retreat? This is the space for you! Our home offers a zen ambiance that creates calm & peace in the middle of a hectic life. Our place is close to MARTA, restaurants, parks, groceries, major highways. You’ll love the flow of our indoor/outdoor living space. Our place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families (with kids), and groups up to 14 people.

The space

We designed our home to welcome one and all. It offers an open floor plan that allows friends and family to mix and mingle with one another easily. This is indoor/outdoor living at it's best. There is a full kitchen outside as well equipped with an industrial size grill, a large griddle, a double burner, 2 warming drawers and even a dutch oven station! The fire pit offers an amazingly tranquil space to connect with one another and there is even a 2nd fire pit in the back woods allows even the most stressed out individual an opportunity to relax! The design of the space can comfortably accommodate between 2 - 12 people. Each of the four bedrooms offers sleeping arrangements to accommodate 2-4 people, plus a pull out queen sofa bed with foam mattress and a sectional couch that can accommodate 2 additional people. Bedrooms 1 & 2 are equipped with 50" tv's and the master has a jacuzzi size tub (no bubbles). Both the indoor and outdoor dining tables can also accommodate up to 12 people as well. Whether you are in Atlanta for business, pleasure or both, our house will suck you in and make you feel right at home. Please read entire listing.

Guest access

Guests will have access to the entire upstairs of the house and the backyard space.

Interaction with guests

We will be available throughout your stay to answer any questions you may have. The upstairs and outside of the house will be fully available for your use. The basement has been renovated into an apartment as well. Unless otherwise agreed upon, we will be staying there. There is a locked door to the basement and an external entrance so we will not disturb your stay in any way, however, we will be available if you have any issues.

The neighborhood

We may be biased, but we believe we live in the best neighborhood in Atlanta! Just five houses down, you can take a private path across a bridge to one of the most beautiful and hidden lakes in Atlanta. The lake is 62 acres and offers walking trails through the woods with the lake view. If you enjoy going to walks, the neighborhood is also perfect because there are sidewalks throughout and it is mostly flat! (A rarity in Atlanta).

Getting around

Our home is also close to everything! We are minutes away from most surrounding highways. We are walking distance to 2 major grocery stores, restaurants, parks, bars, banks, gyms and so much more. We are less than 10 minutes from Dunwoody, Buckhead, Chamblee, Doraville, Lennox Mall, Phipps Plaza, Perimeter Mall, Buford Highway and more! We are truly perfectly situated to get around anywhere in the Atlanta area with the least amount of effort possible.

We respect honesty above all else; so please be straightforward about your plans for your stay. We will work with you to the best of our ability to ensure your stay exceeds your expectations. Please note, this is our private home and is not solely used as a rental, therefore our belongings are in and around the house. Overall, a great experience. Trisha was very communicative and flexible before and during our stay. We were in town for a baseball tournament for my son with another family. There was enough space for us to comfortably hang out and the outdoor space was a game changer.

Exactly what we needed

We stayed her in lieu of a hotel for a weeklong baseball tournament, and it was perfect for our needs. We had lots of space to relax and spread out as well cozy spaces to come together. The fact that the property is owner occupied leaves little room for cabinet and storage space, but this did not detract from our stay.

Nice Thanksgiving get together

We had a nice time over the holidays-with plenty of room for kids ranging from 13-24 coming in/out. Our favorite activities during our stay: bon fire in the backyard, long walks through the beautiful neighborhood, pictures down by the lake, movies in the family room. Having a fully outfitted kitchen for Thanksgiving dinner and enough seating for 10 was a bonus!

Tricia’s home was lovely! We really enjoyed our stay. She was responsive but not intrusive. We would recommend to others and would absolutely stay there again. The projection TV was AWESOME! The only small issue we found was that the outside refrigerator needed cleaning out.

Perfect addition to our baseball trip!

With only having one baseball game a day we knew we needed a place where our boys could enjoy themselves. This Silver Lake Home was perfect! They loved the projector with the PS4 for some trivial pursuit. The 3 boys were able to sleep in a room together with the 3 singles. The kitchen was large and had every supply you could need. The large amount of seating for all to sit together for meals either inside or outside was great as well. The communication with the owner was fantastic and they left a very detailed binder and iPad videos with instructions. I loved taking morning runs in the beautiful Silver Lake Subdivision. It was our home away from home for the week!

Well-kept, well-stocked house

The owners were great to work with. I email Trisha several times about things like local food places, Marta Stations, etc and she was always quick to respond with great info, things above and beyond the rental of the house. The house is stocked with utensil/pots/towels/games/etc. you can imagine! The neighborhood was beautiful and I felt safe and comfortable there. We especially loved the open floor plan near the dining room, kitchen, and living room. It was great for our large party to be able to hang out and while eating and cooking. The outdoor space was just as advertised! Unfortunately it was a bit hot during our visit, but we did manage one night at the fire pit.

Perfect Easter weekend

The property was perfect for our family of 6. Everything was clean, organized and easy. The backyard was great for my younger kids. They got a chance to play and explore. The bedrooms were all large so we were able to spread out. The kitchen and dining areas were perfect for a holiday celebration. Everything was well stocked - paper towels, bath towels, pots/pans, etc. Trisha was a great host. All communication was clear. She gave us a quick tour/tutorial on the house and made sure our stay was everything we needed it to be. Location-wise, there are numerous restaurants and grocery stores nearby but in a quiet residential neighborhood. It was about 20 minutes to Midtown/Georgia Tech which worked well for our GT student.

A safe, family friendly property and location!

We were 4 adults (2 grandparents/2 parents) and traveled with 2 kids, under 5. The sunroom/playroom was amazing on raining afternoons, lots of toys! The spotted carpet in this sunroom, is the only reason for the cleanliness w/4 stars. Due to weather and our schedule, we weren't able to utilize the beautiful backyard, hopefully next time! Plenty of safe parking, be aware, the driveway is steep! We did walk the quiet neighborhood, there is a really nice, lakeside path to a park and clubhouse/community center, (not sure of guest usage here?)... Additionally, there's a larger park and grocery stores, very close by. The house was well equipped and would easily host a larger group. We liked the ability to close off the bedrooms, for privacy, or quiet times when the littles slept. Quick access to downtown Alanta, aquarium, zoo, museums, ballgames. Note: the owners were wonderful and did stay on site, in a downstairs apartment. While we were a bit more conscious of our kiddos' noise levels, it didn't impede our stay in the least.. just something to be aware of. Trisha was very responsive and accommodating, so easy to work with!

Amazing home and host! Great place for a large group to stay.

I had a youth group of 10 students and 2 adults stay at Trish's house for a week. Trish very thoughtfully had already set up extra beds for us to use in the rooms and had plenty of towels and blankets to use. The house is great for kids with a strobe light, alexa who plays music, and an entertainment system on a white wall that cannot be beat. We loved having a dance party, watching tv shows and movies, and playstation being available. The yard and grill are huge and perfect for a cook out and place to run off energy! Trish was an excellent hostess who took care of everything we needed both ahead of time and while we were there and she was very easy to work with. We would definitely stay here again! Thanks for a great week, Trish!

Trisha was an amazing hostess, I can't sing her praises enough. She communicates effectively, has everything you need for your stay and truly wants you to enjoy her home. We had a group of 10 and we had plenty of space to sleep and enjoy the home!! The home is beautifully decorated and she truly cares about each aspect of the home.. she extended drawer space, cabinet space, dish use and everything were needed without complaint. We were even allowed to host a party with additional guests!!! There are not enough words for me to say about how wonderful our stay was!!!!

I was in Atlanta to lead a group of people from MN on a Racial justice trip and we needed a home that could accommodate 8 of us plus be in a decent location to get to many spots. This home was perfect. We loved the open lay out as well as the grill/griddle outside (even though it was cold!). Trish was an amazingly gracious host always willing to answer questions and make sure we were perfectly set up. If I do this trip again we will look forward to staying here!

Beautiful home

We rented this place to host our wedding. We intended to have our ceremony in the very beautiful backyard but the weather did not cooperate. We were able to have just as memorable ceremony inside with the open floor plan. The owners were very accommodating, allowing us to arrange furniture as needed. The kitchen was perfect for our caterer and for the meals we prepared for ourselves. The place was perfect for all the kids we had from age 3 to 14. There were plenty of toys to keep the younger ones entertained as well as video games and movie projector for the older ones. The rooms were very spacious and had we not already made honeymoon accommodations elsewhere, we would've stayed there. The kids room were perfect with a bunk bed in one room and 3 twins in the other. The other 2 rooms had queen beds each with their own large flat screens and Apple TV. We had access to the owners HBO Now account as well as Hulu. My only minor complaint would be to have Chromecast's hooked as well for visitors who may not have Apple products and want to cast their own audio / video. The owner was close by and was very responsive when I needed help with some minor things within the home. The driveway was a pretty steep which wasn't an issue for guests to walk up, but was more daunting for them to park. This made it hard to prevent too many guests from parking in the street. Even with my minor quips, I still give this place 5 stars and would rent this place again without hesitation. The place, indoors and outside is just as beautiful, if not more, as the pictures in the description show.

Hi! I'm Trisha and if you had asked me if I would want to rent out my house 4 years ago, I would have thought you were crazy! But the truth is, I absolutely LOVE when others get to enjoy the space as much as we do. It all started serendipitously when I offered up our home to some friends who were between homes for a month. They asked if they could rent it out to pay us for letting them stay there. I said, "why not!" And that's how we started. I haven't regretted a single moment of it.

Why they chose this property

When we moved into our house, we decided to open up the space and create a magical backyard so that we could enjoy family and friends from the whole house (vs being crowded in the kitchen). When we first started entertaining, we were amazed by how well the house functioned. You can be cooking at the kitchen island, but still be a part of everything going on in the house - both inside and out. And for us, that was perfection! We started having guests ask to use the house for birthday parties, business retreats and dinners and other events. We joke that the house "parties like a rock star"! It's a 1972 understated ranch style house, so it's hard to believe how amazing it feels inside. But it does. It's warm, friendly, inviting, functional, and cool all at the same time. Although we are biased, we have had plenty of confirmation that what we have created is incredibly special, even among folks whose houses are newer, bigger and grander than our home. We welcome you to come and stay a while. Enjoy the space while you enjoy each other! You won't regret it!

What makes this property unique

The truly rare jewel of this home is the sense of indoor/outdoor living you get. It is unusual in Atlanta to find a property that flows the way this house does. The spaces all seamlessly meld into one another and it makes you feel like it's just one gigantic space - both inside the house and out. The year round sun room filled with windows is visible throughout most of the living / dining room areas as is the bay window at the front of the house. If you like light and nature, then this is a great house to enjoy.
