About Texada Island
Texada Island is a small, self sustained community - with 2 grocery stores (incl alcohol), gas station, post office, restaurants, marina, provincial park, and a unique quarry lake full of minerals.
Close to the Sunshine Coast / Powell River and 5+ hours** from Vancouver by a few ferry rides combined with driving, Texada Island is the largest of the Gulf Islands with so much to offer. Across from Comox, Vancouver Island on the Malaspina Strait.
A half-hour ferry takes you to Powell River which is a relatively big city with big box stores such as Canadian Tire and Walmart.
