This is a fully furnished condo located just 4 blocks to the Pearl Street Mall, on Maxwell Avenue. The place has been completely upgraded from top to bottom with high end finishes and the entire condo has gorgeous new hardwood floors.
We purchased and furnished this place as a place for us to stay when we visit our daughter and son in law. It's perfectly located for people who may want to stay in Boulder a short while and do not want to bring a car. No car is really necessary here, as most fun things are within walking distance, or accessible by the famous Boulder public transportation. If you need to go further, there is always Uber or Lyft. This condo truly is the perfect downtown luxury accommodation.
Entering the condo through the french door, there is a coat closet for storage on one side, as well as a bench with coat hooks above on the other side of the door. Sitting at this bench, you can put on or kick off your boots or shoes to let them dry out on bad weather days. There is also a storage basket tucked under the bench.
The condo has central heat and air conditioning controlled by an energy efficient thermostat. Energy efficient heating and cooling, combined with new windows and doors, qualified our unit under the City of Boulder Smart Regulations regarding Energy Compliance. So, indoors, it's nice and cool in the summer, and cozy and warm in the winter months.
The kitchen has granite counters, stainless appliances, and is furnished with pots, pans, dishes, silverware, and small appliances such as a toaster, blender, and tea kettle. For dining, there is a counter height kitchen island from West Elm with a stainless counter top that seats two. In addition, there is a table with 4 chairs set up on the outdoor patio.
The walk-in kitchen pantry is huge, with plenty of room for your food as well as an area to store cleaning products.
In the Living Room, the contemporary furnishings are fresh and new. The sofa is from West Elm, and is oh so comfortable. The Entertainment Center has a 45 inch Smart TV and modern Stereo Receiver, a DVD player, as well as a Wireless Modem and Router for the high speed Internet. The sound system runs throughout the house by built in speakers. Dim the lights while you watch television or Netflix, and enjoy the new Electric Fireplace built in to the entertainment center.
In the hallway, there is a charging station for your phones and tablets.
The bathroom is totally upgraded. The exhaust fan and light are controlled by timer switches. There is also a Japanese style washlett toilet, which even has a heated seat! The oversized mirror above the vanity doubles the amount of light in there. The wall under the shower head in the bath has a tiled and mirrored niche for those who like to shave in the shower. The tub is enclosed with glass shower doors.
The bedroom is furnished with a Queen sized bed with pillow top mattress and rattan headboard. The bedding is ultra soft and luxurious, with high thread-count sheets and duvet covering the goose down comforter. On either side of the bed is a night table with handy electric plugs to keep your phone charging next to you.
In addition to the bed, the room is furnished with a small desk, a printer and table, and a small bench and dresser set by the closet. The space in front of the closet is large enough to make a comfortable dressing area. The closet is huge and offers shelves for storage, and the dresser has 3 drawers for your clothes.
The condo complex has a (seasonal) pool, and a laundry room. Our unit's entrance is located in the locked and gated inner courtyard of the complex, and is facing west towards the swimming pool. Our private patio has a table and chairs for you to sit and enjoy the air outdoors. There is also an electric BBQ grill on the patio, which is used with a special extension cord when you want to cook.
In addition to no smoking allowed inside our unit, Maxwell Place Condos HOA rules enforce a non-smoking policy throughout the complex, forbidding smoking on any patio or balcony. If you do smoke, there is a space set up outside on Maxwell Avenue for this purpose.
Parking is on the city street. We will loan you our residental parking permit from the City of Boulder which allows you 24 hour street parking in the Mapleton Hill neighborhood. We usually do not have any trouble finding a spot to park.
The HOA rules allow only 30 day minimum rentals, which keeps everything peaceful and quiet. This is a perfect place for short term renters who are in Boulder temporarily for business, or for parents visiting their children, or for someone who needs a place short term while they are looking for a place to buy.
You really do not need a car while you are living here. Downtown is just 4 blocks away. The SKIP bus runs up and down Broadway to take you directly to the University. The RTD (AB line) express bus to the Denver International Airport is six blocks away at the Central Bus Depot, and runs 7 days a week. A small Whole Foods market is 3 blocks away, as well as a nice wine and spirits store, bakery, and various other shopping. Pearl Street, with all it's restaurants and shopping is 4 blocks away. The trailhead to Mount Sanitas is just west of us about 6 blocks away. About 4 blocks away is a beautiful park with playground and picnic facilities. The North Boulder Recreational Center is about 8 blocks north of us on Broadway. The Mapleton Hill neighborhood is close to downtown, and within walking distance to most everything.
I would have no problem with a short term renter who has small children, but would advise you to take in to consideration that there is no barrier around the perimeter of the swimming pool during the summer season, and the pool is literally just a few steps away from our front door. Due to this , I would not consider this a toddler-friendly rental in the summer months.
Because this rental is a short term offering, we do not accept pets in order to offer our furnished rental as pet and allergy free.
The monthly rate includes all the utilities, internet, water and trash removal. We provide sheets and towels. As this is a self-catering, furnished rental, laundering the sheets and towels would be your responsibility while you are in residence. The complex has a laundry room which is conveniently located just across the pool area from us.
We require a damage deposit of $500.00 which is fully refundable if the place is returned to us in the same, clean condition found at check-in.
