Overall a fun, cozy and fully equipped cabin. Very private and loved watching wild turkeys roam the property. The fireplace and fire pit were amazing and got plenty of use. We had our family of 6 and 2 dogs with lots of room. We will definitely rent this cabin again.

We had a moms weekend and this cabin was wonderful. We all had our own rooms and had more than enough room to spread out. Loved hanging out in the hottub relaxing!

Everything about the property is as listed. My family had a wonderful stay in this spacious, clean, and quiet home. The location is conveniently located for a very short drive into town and several hiking trails. We hope to return one day!

We had a wonderful stay. Herb and Kelly are absolutely wonderful. They make sure your stay is relaxing and that you have everything you need. The home is close to lots of activities, or you can just chill in the hot tub and explore the beautiful property. My family and I will definitely be back to check out the pool during a warmer month.

Home was exactly like the listing and perfect for our long weekend away. Very comfortable for our family of 5 adults and one 8 year old. We had everything we needed between bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen supplies and common areas. The property felt private, was quiet and close to small towns and highways. We hope to come back again when it’s warmer to use the pool!

Graduation weekend

It was a great place to stay for the family close to JMU with a fun cabin feel. The house was rustic as shown but had a fun vibe we had everything we needed and loved the huge fireplace and the hot tub. Didn’t get a chance to explore the property or play outside much as we were busy with graduation activities but it met all our needs for cooking and sleeping and hanging out inside. It was a nice place to celebrate our daughter with family.

New Market VA home

We enjoyed immensely our stay in Kelly and Herb's beautiful and charming home near New Market, VA. The house is large, clean, and comfortable with everything we needed in the kitchen and well-supplied with games, towels, firewood, etc. We loved the fireplace, hot tub and hiking on nearby trails. Thank you, Kelly and Herb!

Back in time

This place was amazing, Herb was great to talk to and made sure we had everything. Walking into this house took us back in time with all the memorabilia from when my wife and I grew up. Definitely be back soon!!

Extremely isolated. You cannot hear or see neighbors. Great piece of property with lots of room inside and out. The dogs loved being able to run around the huge yard. Love driving to the property seeing the towering ridge behind it. Really nice hosts who are great at communicating. Thanks!

Beautiful quiet stay

Enjoyed the stay very much. Quiet stay in the hillside. Hot tub , fire pit , indoor fire place and a nice back deck to relax on. It was very enjoyable and we would return. The upstairs main bedroom mattress was a little hard / firm for our liking. But wasn’t a huge deal. The stay was very much enjoyable overall. Herb was a pleasure to deal with.

A Beautiful Retreat

While feeling isolated from the world, enjoying nature all around, we were still very close to town and activities. We particularly liked that the "game room" was located away from the house and provided great entertainment for all. The one draw back was no bedroom area on the main floor and many steps upstairs and downstairs to go to bedrooms. House was well stocked with everything needed and felt like a comfortable, cozy space.

Relaxing getaway

We spent a few days in the Shennandoah area at this cabin. The location was great for visiting Shennandoah National Park. It’s very secluded, yet close to the town of New Market. We enjoyed the hot tub after long days of hiking and the pool was relaxing as well. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to prepare our meals. We also enjoyed all the living space-having two separate family/living rooms was perfect for our group of five. There is a short trail to a waterfall on the property-we had fun finding it! The owners were very responsive and checked on us during our stay. We felt that they really cared about us as guests. We would definitely stay again!

Beautiful vacation cabin

We had an amazing time at this cabin and wish we could have stayed longer. It is in a quiet secluded area but the town was not far to go grab groceries and other necesseties. There was lots of room for our dog to run and we really appreciated being able to bring him. Most of our time was spent outdoors. There was a pool, hot tub, grill, and a firepit. Everything was very clean. The kitchen is well equipped and had everything we needed. We have absolutely no complaints! Everything was great! Thank you Herb and Kelly!
