Everything was wonderful! Kitchen was pretty stocked with cooking items you'd need. It was warm and cozy, loved being able to see outside no matter where you were. Fireplace was an awesome have!
This was the second time we stayed here and it was still amazing! Such a lovely little cabin, had everything we needed, very clean and very relaxing. No problems communicating with host. Everything was perfect.
Honeymoon cottage is a lovely little cabin. Having been touring New England for 3 weeks we wanted a place to just relax for a few days. Well this place fitted the bill perfectly. It is very comfortable, the weather was just staring to get a bit cooler but with the log fire and the heating it was very cosy. Easy check in and everything you could need.
We had a lovely stay at the cottage. The inside was just as described, with the highlights being the huge jacuzzi tub and the adorable kitchen. The only thing worth noting is that the description of the property does not mention that it is right off a main road in VT, so the car noise is quite loud most of the dayâat night itâs fairly quiet though. Also, the couch was barely big enough for two people to get comfortable, so thatâs the only minor complaint I had about the inside.
Amazing location for those who love the outdoors. Located within steps of the Appalachian and Long trails with a nice hike to the summit of Bromley Mountain. Manchester town center is about a 15 minutes drive. The place is very cute with all of the amenities. Great all around!
If I could give the Honeymoon Cottage 11 out of 10 stars, I would!Everything was lovely- it was just fantastic. We loved the cottage itself, the location, everything. It was cozy and comfortable. We will 100% be booking another stay.
We were initially thrilled upon arrival, as the cabin is rustic, cozy, and at the end of a long drivewayâ all things we would normally enjoy. It quickly became apparent that the road noise was quite loud though, and for a light sleeper like myself, that was a problem. We both love a fireplace, but the smell of woodsmoke in the cabin was very strong, so people with allergies or breathing problems should be aware. My husband is one of those people and was stuffed up throughout our stay. When we went to put our clothes in the dresser, we found that it, and the dryer, were full of sheets and towels (some not fully dry). And the shower handle, which the house instructions stated was âa little stiffâ, was impossible for me to turn on. If my husband had not been with me Iâd have had to do without a shower! Finally, there is a beautiful spiral log staircase going downstairs, but no handrail. We both are quite fit but were not comfortable going up or down. The Manchester area is gorgeous and we did a lot of great hiking and eating. And we both believe that this little gem of a cottage could be a perfect spot if given a little upgrade ( sound reducing glass on the windows especially the bedroom? a handrail on the stairway? Better air ventilation between guests? Fix the shower handle and broken screen in the sliding door))
As this represents our second stay at the Honeymoon Cottage we are already talking another trip to Winhall. Needless to say we enjoy the rustic appeal and location, with close proximity to the AT and Vermontâs Long Trail; close enough to Manchester for dinner; or tours of the Orvis fly rod factory, American Fly Fishing Museum or Hildene
Absolutely perfect getaway for a weekend. Cottage is so warm and inviting and smells like a cottage in the woods should! We loved the music upstairs and down, walks to the pond and beyond, and the amazing jacuzzi. We will definitely be back - what a perfect way to spend our 25th anniversary. We would love to read more about the history of the building/land if available!
I was very impressed on how cute this little cottage was. It was very peaceful and private. The place has everything you need. The road is too close for my liking. You could hear the cars going by which was a bummer. Visited some waterfalls near by which were awesome. Bring a suit if it's hot. Pond was low due to much needed rain so we didn't fish. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay.
What a wonderful place to stay! My boyfriend and I too advantage of the beautiful deck and had coffee and dinner on it every day. We also used the charcoal grill to cook dinner and the wood stove outside, for a beautiful outside dining expereince! We would love to come back again!
Such a beautiful location and a lovely getaway. The decor was perfect and we had everything we needed on site. Minutes away from amazing hikes, swimming holes and gorgeous views. 10 out of 10!
Very nice, no complaints very quiet little road with just two cottages on it. If going in the summer time make sure to bring bug spray if walking outside. Nice little pond for fishing. Shops and restaurants only 10 minutes away.
This cabin was lovely, tucked away at the end of a little dirt road. The place was clean and tidy and very cozy. The few things I'd have wanted to know before booking:1. It is fairly close to a main road with fast moving traffic, so it is not as tucked away as it appears- you can hear a lot of road noise when you're outside (and even sometimes inside).2. The stairs down to the bedroom are spiral and take some care to navigate.3. The kitchen wasn't stocked with any food items other than salt and pepper and coffee (I've often stayed in places that had condiments, spices, etc) so just worth noting that you really need to bring everything. 4. There's no real view of the pond in the months when leaves are on the trees. It was a lovely stay overall and I'd love to see it in the fall or winter. Would recommend.
Cabin was very quaint, charming with a rustic feel and modern amenities. Focal point of the cabin was the wooden spiral staircase and the two stone fireplaces.
My wife and family took down a small barn in Warwick, NY. Trucked the hand-hewn beams to Vermont and built this cottage by hand. This little honeymoon cottage is a labor of love. Enjoy it with love!
