Aloha Kakou,

I'm Loren and I am a 2nd generation Real Estate Broker and I am the broker-in-charge and partner of Graham Properties Inc., a family-owned real estate firm.

In my role, I manage new agents and oversees the firm’s marketing, advertising and promotion.

Born and raised in Hawaii, I earned my real estate license in 2005. Before that, I lived in Japan where I taught English and surfed.

Hawaii is a very unique and special place and Hawaii Real Estate is no exception to this fact.

With the rapidly expanding international buyers/sellers, I have been invited abroad multiple times do give educational seminars on Hawaii's real estate buying and selling process. Being born and raised in Hawaii and having lived in Japan for a short while, I have identified the need to bridge the cultural gap that can lead to miscommunication, misconceptions, and hardships. In order to help bridge this gap, I have implemented the "after care" program which gives support to new residents to help them adjust to Hawaii life.

I volunteer with Na Kama Kai, teaching children water safety, surfing and ocean environmental awareness.

Good stay in the heart of Waikiki

If you're looking to be in the center of all the action, this is the place to stay! Only a two-block walk from Kalakaua Avenue, this place puts you a (very) short distance from all the shopping and dining. You can disregard the other reviews saying that it was noisy at night; the rental is on the 21st floor so my wife and I never heard anything and were able to sleep soundly. It was only a short drive to the freeway as well so you can be in-and-out of Waikiki in no time. The rental comes with a free parking spot so when you do come back to Waikiki, you can rely on this instead of breaking the bank at any other parking lot in the area (please be aware that anything larger than a mid-size SUV might not fit in the parking spot). I should also mention that Loren gave us a great rate for our babymoon...thanks Loren!

The room itself was a descent place to call home. As to not be alarmed, it is in a very dated building. The room has a nice mid-century modern feel to it. It was nice to be able to lay our heads down at night in the heart of Waikiki but the room left some things to be desired. One of those things was fresh linen; the sheets nor the towels seemed fresh. I sleep on my stomach so when I laid my head down on the first night, I was appalled by the stench of the pillows. It seemed like the bed was only just made after the previous renters and that the sheets weren't washed at all. I could say the same thing about the towels; they didn't have that fresh laundry detergent smell and after only a couple of uses, smelled like an old rag that has just been sitting out there. Fortunately, there was another set so we were able to change our towels.

The TV only had four channels, which wasn't a big deal because we were out pretty much most of the days, but just something to keep it mind just incase you want to watch something before you knock out for the night.

We didn't use it at all, but the balcony was a small area. Definitely standing room only with no place to sit and enjoy the weather in your own privacy. Had it been a little bigger with some chairs, I'm sure we would have spent some time out there, but this also just something to keep in mind.

Great apartment right in the heart of Waikiki

This apartment is a fantastic place to stay and it has everything that you'll need. The location is amazing, being very central in downtown Waikiki. It's about a 6 - 8 minute walk from the apartment to Waikiki Beach, quicker if you cut through an alleyway to one of the beaches behind the shops. Shops, restaurants and entertainment are all at hand. There are views of the ocean but the balcony is not really large enough to be comfortable sitting out, but then, with the beaches so close by, there was no need!

The car parking is very convenient and is located in the garage under the apartment block. It's easy to get in and out and the highways are easy to reach, so exploring the island is simple.

Facilities in the apartment are great. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you'll need and there is a grocery store (Foodland) a few blocks walk away.

I had a great time using this as my base on O'ahu for 18 days. It was a home from home and I'd rent it again if I return to Waikiki one day.

Just one comment on the check in process. The instructions are not all that clear and make reference to an internet cafe - which I never found nor saw during all the time I was going in and out. There was a bit of a hitch on my arrival but this was dealt with as quickly as possible by the manager and staff and it didn't really affect my stay. Mahalo!

very nice studio, perfect central location. only downside: balcony door impossible to open and it really needs to be updated- noisy... from floor 21st I could hear the crowd on the street at night

Great! Very clean and more spacious than anticipated

We loved our stay! It is the perfect size for two people, had a great kitchen, clean bathroom with plenty of toiletries, and even came with a boogie board and huge beach towels. Will definitely stay here again!
