Situado en el corazón de Varenna, el apartamento tiene vistas a la Riva Grande, con una espectacular vista al lago, totalmente agradable desde el gran balcón.

El apartamento acaba de ser completamente amueblado y consta de: cocina, salón con chimenea y sofá cama, baño con lavadora y secadora, dormitorio doble, con capacidad para 4 personas.

Todos los lugares (bares, restaurantes, tiendas, servicios públicos) están al alcance de la mano, a 100 metros.

Incluso los medios de transporte son fácilmente accesibles a pie: a lo largo de la orilla del lago a 200 metros encontrará el embarcadero para el ferry y el barco; otros 200 metros y llegas a la estación de tren.

Our stay with Giorgio was excellent. His communication was fantastic and we really appreciated him coming to pick us up from the station.His apartment is spotless and the view out over the lake is amazing. We enjoyed sitting out in the balcony to enjoy watching the people, ferries and sunsets. The washer and drier wereVery useful.I would not hesitate to recommend this place for any couple wanting to stay in Varenna. We will be back!

Ideal location, great balcony. Giorgio was very friendly and helpful. Pull out couch is actually 2 twin beds which was perfect for my teenage children.

Great Location

You will not find a better location for a private stay than Casa Riva. It is positioned right in the heart of Varenna and is a great launching point for other towns on the lake as well. The bed was very comfortable and we loved waking up to the sound of water every morning. We will be back!

Excellent location and excellent hosts. Well appointed apartment in Varenna which is near the lake boat harbour allowing easy access to Bellagio and Menaggio. Plenty of nearby restaurants and small grocer and baker.

Great Stay!!

From check in to check out our stay was wonderful. The location was amazing with a great view of the lake. It is very close to all the restaurants and close to the ferry as well. I would highly recommend taking the ferry to Bellagio for a half day or more if you have the time! Thank you Giorgio for such a wonderful stay and picking us up from the train station as well!

Our stay in the apartment was excellent.It is cozy and comfortable. The view from the living room and the bedroom is breathtaking - the windows overlook directly the lake and surrounding mountains. The whole environment is so peaceful and beautiful that you can't help falling in love with the lake and Varenna. The boat to the neighbour villages - beautiful Bellagio and Menagio -is a 5 minute walk along the river, very picturesque! And a lot of good restaurants around. The hosts, Giorgio and Lorena, and their son Alberto were very nice, friendly and helpful. They answered all our questions and tried their best to accomodate our needs. Giorgio met us in the station upon our arrival and his son even brought us back to the station in his car on our last day. The hosts also greeted us with the bottle of a good wine. Overall, we had unforgettable stay. Strongly recommend this place.

Wonderful location!

Perfect location - walk to everything - restaurants, shops, two small grocery stores / delis. Five minute walk to the ferry to get you anywhere else. Sitting on the balcony with a glass of wine, looking at the incredible views and people watching was fabulous. And both Giorgio and Alberto were great and always around and accessible if needed. Their restaurant recommendations were spot-on. Very comfortable apartment that was perfect for our four-night stay.

Beautiful view and location!

The best views and location. We were walking distance from shops, restaurants, and the square. With 2-3 min walk. It was honestly our favorite. Alberto was also great and super responsive. Very kind and welcoming!

Fantastic View

The view from the bedroom and the living room and the balcony was spectacular. We also loved hearing the waves during the night. This is a perfect apartment for two people. We sat out on the balcony every day. This would not be a good apartment for anyone who finds stairs challenging because there’s no other way to get to it.

Our stay could not have been more perfect, the best spot on the lake with an incredible view of the lake and mountains and steps away from all the area hot spots. Giorgio and Alberto were the most gracious hosts who bent over backwards to ensure we had the best experience possible! Our apt had everything we could possibly need for the perfect stay! 10 plus stars!!

A Grand View With An Apt.

Casa Riva has an absolutely stunning view of Lake Como. We booked because of balcony facing the lake. Pick up service from train by owner’s son was a plus. Just steps to restaurants and lake. Ferry a short walk. Our only regret is not staying a couple more days. Three is not enough,

Lake Como Bucket List - Check!

Giorgio and Alberto were two fine gentlemen and took care of our needs while on our three night stay! The location was fantastic and we took advantage of the Bistró directly below for dinner (twice). Waking up to coffee overlooking the lake was breathtaking. The only negative are the hills/steps you have to navigate when treking out! Bring good walking shoes! I would come back to Casa Riva in an instant!

Giorgio was a great host We saw him several times and he helped us with our luggage getting to the town square for our ride. His wonderful son Alberto met us when arrived and checked us in the apartment. The apartment!!! We have to start with WOW!!! Fantastic location only a few steps to great restaurants, gelato and great shops. The best shop in Varenna was II Pozzo just outside our door. There we met smiling, friendly Christina. Many great things - leather, shirts etc. our favorite shop on our tour of Italy. The apartment had everything and best of all a view of the lake that was fabulous. We have traveled extensively and this is the best place we have ever stayed. As for Varenna - the city of lovers. Words can’t express how beautiful Varenna is. We found this stay in Casa Riva one of peace, love and serenity. We are already planning our return

Wonderful location

We enjoyed our stay in Casa Bella. The view was amazing. Apartment had everything we needed to make our trip very enjoyable. Location was great close to restaurants and ferry. It does get loud at night but when we closed the doors it was fine. Having both a washer and a dryer was a nice surprise and very useful. Dryers are not easy to find in Italy. Our host son met us at the square and assisted us with our luggage also arranged transportation for our return. He responded quickly to our questions. Thank you for a unforgettable experience!

Beautifully romantic

I arrived with my boyfriend, I left with my fiancé! Couldn’t have asked for a more romantic setting. This apartment was beautiful not least because of the stunning view across the lake. We were there in January and the apartment was warm and cozy and had everything we needed. Giorgio and Lorena were really helpful in our pre planning and on arrival. We were looking for somewhere to celebrate new years and they made some local suggestions. They also kindly offered to make a reservation for us at a restaurant in the village. Also on arrival telling us everywhere to go and where was good to eat. There are a couple of places right underneath the apartment and they are the only place to eat on the lake shore so it really couldn’t have been better. A great location to drive to many other places too, notably St Moritz! We loved discovering the specialities of the region, especially in Valtellina. We had a gorgeous stay and loved our idyllic apartment.

Stunning location in a friendly town

Varenna is a beautiful little town with a friendly community. Alberto’s attentiveness to our arrival and departure were terrific and he generously picked us up at the train and transported us to the apartment. The apartment was well equipped for our needs to explore the area, cook, and to travel to destinations via ferry and train. Our goal was relaxation and the locale is well suited for that in the off-season. The furnishings in the apartment were less supportive of that goal, though in season, I am sure it’s a fine place to crash for a few hours for a couple of days. We were a bit disappointed that we could not use the fireplace as that would have added to our enjoyment in the cooler evenings. Had it not been advertised, we would not have given it a second thought, but it was one of the reasons we chose this apartment. The grocer and the butcher at the Salumeria were lovely, and we had massages in town with Silvia after days of short hikes in the hills in and around Varenna. Overall a great stay, and we would return to Varenna in the off season again. Thanks for your hospitality Alberto.

We loved everything about this place - perfect location, beautiful view, comfortable, clean and well equipped apartment with everything we needed. Management was so nice and accommodating- even picked us up from the train station and left us wine! We can’t wait to come back
