Beautiful place in Tropea

This apartment is perfect for stay in Tropea. Close to main road. The balcony overlooking the sea had breathtaking view. You can see Volcano activity. We only had two people so we had so much room in apartment. We loved every minute here and if we ever came back would stay again

Bella Tropea

The apartment was located near the sea. The view from the balcony was beautiful. The second bedroom was up a very narrow staircase and was quite warm. The fans did not work. The staircase would be difficult for an elder to climb. There was not enough toilet tissue in the apartment and the wine opener was broken. We handled both of these issues without calling the agent. There was a washing machine but only a small bit of detergent. We bought detergent and this worked out. All in all, the apartment was perfect for us.

Tropea is a beautiful town. The property manager leaves a bit to be desired

View of the property 5 out of 5 Cleanliness of the property 5 out of 5 Closeness to town 5 out of 5 Property manager 2 out of 5 This property is truly beautiful from the view from the balcony to the cleanliness of the apartment. Unfortunately the view seduced me into renting this room without doing as much research as I normally do. First we had to pick up the keys from an office that was a bit more than a half mile away. Normally we meet the property manager at the property. Another thing that was odd was we had to pay 25 Euros for towels and sheets which we never experienced before. I missed that in the listing so I will take the blame for that. When we walked to the property with Tonino he did not offer to wheel my wife’s bag and just walked ahead off us like he couldn’t be bothered. He finally helped my wife about two thirds of the way to the apartment. When we arrived the towels and sheets were on a plastic bag on the bed so my wife hade to make up the bed and hang the towels. We had only the toilet paper that was in the bathrooms. No extra. No paper towels. The WIFI was adequate at best. We had service up to the main bedroom but once inside we had no service When we asked for a reference for a good restaurant all he would say is there are plenty of restaurants. At that point we realized he was not very helpful so we made our own way. Now I do have to say he set up a taxi for us the morning we left and it was on time and the driver was great so I will compliment him for that. Now the town. It’s beautiful. Plenty of wonderful restaurants. We had fried fish near the Duomo which was soooo good. Had coffee and crepes at Papillon so good. Just wander the side streets and you will find good food. Took a cooking class at Marianas kitchen. Nicola and his girlfriend were wonderful hosts but the hit was Mariana. Although she spoke no English she communicated well. They were so welcoming and the food was delicious. I would highly recommend. Make reservations ahead they only take three couples Our one big disappointment was not being able to go to Stromboli. The weather was calling for heavy rain and we didn’t want to be out on the water in heavy rain and waves. As it turned out the rain passed but it was to late. Tropea is a great place to visit

Extremely poor management

Nice Appartement, extremely poor management. We had a booking for four, they prepared for two. No Towels, no linens etc. for our kids. I had to get them in their office….and the first thing they asked, was, whether I had paid. The dishwasher didn‘t work, one roll of toilet paper for three bathrooms and 5 nights and no towels in the kitchen. Lamps all over the place, unfortunately, no one bothers to replace the broken bulbs…We had to clean the dishes and the cutlery first, they were terribly dirty …All in all: We wouldn‘t come again simply because of a management that apparently couldn‘t care less.

Beautiful location

Beautiful location and apartment. It would have been nice to have air conditioning in addition to ceiling fans. Fan in the bedroom makes noise and I tried to tell them and request a floor fan but to no avail. It would have been nice to have a little dish soap, hand soap and laundry soap. Had to pay for towels and sheets and the towels could have been softer. Could have been included in the price. These little things could have made the apartment an exceptional rental.

Wonderful apartment and great location!

The apartment exceeded our expectations. The rooms are quite large and beautifully furnished, and the view from the balcony overlooking the water is spectacular. The apartment is located in a quiet square just a 2 minute walk from all the shops and restaurants. Highly recommended!
