We had a great stay and the house was exactly as advertised. It was spotless, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The location was perfect for exploring Malibu, and the views were even better than expected. Communication with the host was easy from start to finish. We'd definitely stay here again.

This property is a must see and must stay!! It is beautifully appointed and is in every way perfect! The host was on top of everything and I cannot say enough good things about him. He was very responsive to our questions and super helpful. All was clean and every detail precise and well thought out. We used the beautiful kitchen for cooking and all appliances and cookware were top notch! I also loved how environmentally friendly the house was and how remote it felt, but easily accessible to groceries and such. The hot tub was a great place to watch the sunset. The beds were extremely comfortable and luxurious. The linens for the bathrooms were nice and fresh. We were able to do laundry easily to finish our stay in CA. We will definitely stay again when we visit the Pacific coast.

Exactly what we were looking for!

Our family spent a wonderful 12 days at Deer Creek Ridge. The house has wonderful amenities, pretty much anything you need they have. And the most magnificent sunsets! Keith was super helpful & personable!

Beautiful Malibu Home

We had a wonderful stay and the home was being advertised. The view was stunning and the everything in the home was top notch. The kitchen was masterfully equipped and we loved cooking in it. Rick is a fantastic host!

Dream wedding

We had a wonderful small family wedding here and everything was perfect. Rick was super attentive and helpful. It is a glorious location to share some magical memories. The attention to detail is amazing it is a little piece of paradise.

Luxury in Malibu

If you are looking for a slice of peace & serenity, away from it all, yet still a luxurious experience.. this is the place for you! Rick's home is absolutely beautiful! Everything from check-in through check-out was easy. A Beautiful home with beautiful views. Just like pictures.

Words can not even describe the beauty of this home & property. It was truly a luxurious experience. The home had everything we needed. The beds were so amazingly comfortable and the showers were refreshing. The pool was great to sit in and feel like you were on top of the world. Had amazing views. At night we were able to gaze all of the stars clearly and were lucky enough to watch the Space X launch, thanks to the owner notifying us. The owner of this property was so incredibly nice and helpful in giving us tips on what to do around the area. Best owners I have ever dealt with on a Vacation rental. This home is a must if you are looking for luxury, fun and ambiance!

Spectacular villa in the clouds

The Deer Creek Ridge Villa is a thoughtfully decorated period piece that offers vistas so beautiful, you will be asking yourself why would I even leave to explore Malibu. It is the rare occasion, when the amenities somehow are the feature attraction in a region so beautiful. While, it can easily accommodate many more people, it managed to be very intimate for our family of four. I would strongly recommend this lovely home to anyone looking to visit the very finest at Malibu has to offer. Dr. DSM and family

The Malibu Dream

Its hard to imagine a more elegantly situated, constructed, designed, furnished, beloved home for a personal retreat, and/or to gather, elevate and celebrate a special moment! Truly exquisite details everywhere! Note: It was my first rental that charges per person, either by a nightly or day rate depending on your type of stay (beyond 2 people). With that said, Rick was a very warm, attentive host who promptly responded to any questions or requests as they arose. I would be grateful to return for a future stay; it is a simply magical spot to be savored in the highest!

Un endroit de rêve!

The retreat is better than what the pictures can tell. The view is spectacular. The house is really beautiful. The garden with its plants and flowers is sublime. The pool is a beauty and very deep. The owners were super helpful. The kitchen is well equipped. Cleanliness was perfect...my wife is very critical on the subject. Beds were comfortable. Perfect location for road biking (good luck on the hills), hiking and obviously surfing.

perfect for our offsite meetings

this lovely location and environment was the perfect place to host our offsite quarterly meetings. we enjoyed taking in nature around us and the outside was the perfect space to spread out as we spent time planning and sharing. to top it off Rick was an amazing host! always attentive to our needs, and making sure we were comfortable, and enjoying our time. thank you, Rick!! we will surely seek out this space again when looking for a place to gather. our team is grateful to you!

A weekend in the clouds

I just returned from the most amazing 3 night stay at Deer Creek Ridge. Rick was an amazingly attentive host and the property was more beautiful than I could have ever expected. Rick greeted us when we arrived and gave us a tour of the entire property and made himself available to answer questions that came up throughout the entire stay. It felt like we were staying at a boutique hotel up in the clouds, surrounded by mountains and beautiful ocean views. Though mosquitos are not typically a problem at the property, they were a bit of an issue when we arrived. Rick was very accommodating and ordered plenty of citronella candles that allowed us to enjoy the pool, outdoor dining, and lounging areas. Besides the small mosquito issue that was resolved, we had the most amazing time. The beds were so comfortable, the area was peaceful and quiet, the host was so accommodating, the house was beautiful, the kitchen was well stocked, and we can't wait to stay again soon! If you're looking for a true getaway, Deer Creek Ridge is the perfect place!

A great getaway in a beautiful place

Everything was great! Rick was very responsive and helpful, and most of the questions I had were answered by the check in instructions anyway (my bad for not looking it up diligently enough). The house is very well setup with Alexa and remotes and various smart buttons. The sheer number of the buttons can be a bit overwhelming though, but we managed no problem. The spa was very good - spacious, and an amazing spot for stargazing or watching the sunset. Mosquitoes can bother you in evenings, so just be aware, and bring repellants or antihistamines. The ocean and mountain views from the master bedroom balcony are gorgeous, truly a sight to behold. Close-by dining options are limited, but we were using the grill to cook - its big, uses propane, and surprisingly generates a pretty nice crust on veggies. The house is about an hour drive from Santa Monica/LAX, but the remoteness was one of the primary reasons we picked this in first place. Loved it! Would love to stay there again

A once in a lifetime experience

I got the chance to stay at Deer Creek Ridge on October 29th 2017. I proposed to my girlfriend of 5 years and can honestly say that the house and its owners made the entire experience beyond unforgettable. The property is absolutely gorgeous. Standing on its own atop a hill overlooking the ocean, this house is a sight to behold. The architecture is unique and beautiful with a Moroccan/Peruvian feel. The interior is just as immaculate as the outside. Everything is incredibly clean and lavish, yet provides its guests with an unmistakably homely feel. Rick, the owner of the house, made setting up the entire experience very simple. Not only was he fantastic about helping to accommodate all of my needs for the proposal, but he went well over the top and helped with everything even when he didn't need to. I couldn't be more grateful to him and Keith. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Every aspect of my experience here was so far beyond my expectations (which were already high to being with). Whether you're looking to get away for a relaxing weekend or planning an unforgettable event, Deer Creek Ridge is the venue you should be booking.

Stunning and Luxurious

Amazing property and Rick is a fantastic host. Pictures were beautiful and yet the home exceeded our expectations. Property is meticulously maintained and beautifully done. Grounds and views are gorgeous. Hiking nearby and easy access to beach gave us plenty to keep us busy - not that we ever wanted to leave! Kitchen was very well stocked and high end appliances made it fun to cook and entertain ourselves at home. Perfect getaway weekend!

Beyond Expectations

Rick and the property at Deer Creek Ridge were amazing. The house was better than the pictures (brand new kitchen! ... that we used every day) and was immaculate. Outdoor space and view were as good as they get, and Rick was a terrific host. Never any issues, always kind, polite and responsive. Thanks for a great week!
