This place is great! Steve is a wonderful host who greeted us upon arrival, provided advice on hikes, drives, places to eat, etc. Location is very close to the national park and was a tranquil spot to relax after a day full of activities. I would highly recommend this place.

A wonderful home near Volcano. The space is perfect to reset and relax and to set out on Volcano sites and hikes.

We stayed here while visiting the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. The drive to the park was easy and the property and landscaping were gorgeous. The frogs and the rain at night were incredibly peaceful as well as we slept with the windows open. Steve was an awesome host and we would definitely visit again.

Steve has created a perfect haven for travelers to appreciate Volcano. We stayed two nights, enjoying comfortable beds, fantastic jungle grounds and the coolest outdoor shower. The sounds of the chirping frogs at night lulled us all to sleep.

Dr. Steve was a great host at an excellent location close to Volcano National Park (6 minutes from park entrance). The accomodatioms were comfortable and beautifully appointed. A quiet place in a uniquely Hawaiian natural forest.

We loved this stay! Gorgeous, luxe feeling home in a super quiet and beautiful spot. Felt like we were at an upscale resort! Perfect layout for our family of four. We loved having morning coffee by the koi pond, and we enjoyed eating meals on the lanai. Very convenient location for accessing the town of Volcano and the National Park. Would definitely love to come back!

We had a wonderful stay at the house with our family of four. The location is absolutely incredible, with breathtaking views and easy access to the national park and volcano village. The property was exceptionally clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. What stood out most was the peaceful, tranquil atmosphere as it was the perfect place to relax and unwind after a day of exploring the island.Waking up surrounded by the beauty of Hawaii’s volcanic landscape was unforgettable. If you’re looking for a quiet, scenic, and unique place to stay on the Big Island, I highly recommend. We would gladly stay here again.

Amazing place, ideal for Volcano Park. Everything has been thought through carefully - and the place was an ideal oasis for a few days.Great outdoor patio where we sat all the time, surrounded by ferns and tropical plants. Well appointment kitchen and bathroom.Host full of good advice about the island.

We had an excellent stay at this property. The space is beautiful and very well appointed. It is obvious that the host cares for his guests and wants you to enjoy yourself while in the area. The bed is very comfortable and the exceptionally clean kitchen is fun to use. The bathroom has a great jacuzzi tub that I really appreciated after a long day of hiking.

Great spot in a peaceful and quiet location, close to the park entrance. Steve was a very communicative host who clearly has pride in the space he provides, as it's well stocked, beautifully decorated and cozy. Steve was a great host and helpful with ideas and tips for our stay.

Our stay was both wonderful and exceptional. Our host, Steve, could not have been more gracious. He was wonderful in communicating prior to our arrival and gave us a warm welcome and detailed instructions on the home and guidance on exploring the area. His home is gorgeous and like a zen retreat in the middle of a quiet forest. There were numerous thoughtful and lovely touches to the home.I hope to return.

If you’re looking for an enchanting retreat, this is it. It’s the perfect space to rejuvenate. The rooms in the house are spacious and clean. The grounds and koi pond are a beautiful addition. You’re only minutes from HVNP and about 30 minutes from the Hilo area. Steve, the host, is very respectful and pleasant. Will definitely be coming back my next visit to the big island.
