Newly renovated luxurious apartment in an unbeatable location on the main street of Reykjavík.

The Space:
This 2 bedroom apartment accommodates 6 persons. Top of the line interior design and exceptional lighting.The house is located on the main street so everything you need is just a walk away . Spacious bedrooms and large bathroom along with highest quality beds make this apartment the ultimate getaway in Iceland.

The house was newly renovated in late 2017 and the apartment and everything within it is all brand new.

The apartment is very open and bright with a lot of character and charm to it. High ceiling and large windows make it exceptionally bright. Being brand new, everything in the apartment is top of line from home appliances to wooden floors. Balconies from the master bedroom with a view over the main street of Laugavegur.

Kitchen – Top of the line interior design, European wood cabinetry, professional series kitchen appliances. Includes dishwasher, coffee machine, toaster, oven, electric kettle, microwave and all the cookware necessary to make a gourmet meal.

Bedrooms - Highest quality king and queen size beds along with plenty of closet space, TV in both rooms.

Living room - TV and a sofa bed.

Bathroom - Shower and a washer/dryer combination

Cots, cribs, high seats and other children/baby furniture are available upon request.

The guest has access to the whole apartment. The apartment comes with free wifi and smart TV.

Everything you need is right around the corner such as grocery stores, shops and a great restaurant.

Hungry for groceries ? Bónus grocery store within 2 minute walk from the apartment.

Wonderful location, can walk everywhere. A good size for four adults. Rooms were quiet and dark with comfortable beds. The place in general could use some TLC. It’s very clean but a little shabby.

Iceland 2024

We had a great stay. There were a few bumps along the way, which the host was responsive to. This is a great location in downtown Reykjavik. It’s is within walking distance of great restaurants, bars, shopping and an ice cream parlor. This was our second stay at this location and it did not disappoint. I would highly recommend this apartment.

Great place & location

It’s w beautiful apartment…well equipped and perfectly located. The bar downstairs plays music until about 10pm & revelers and cars on the street below can be easily heard, but not bad for such a central location. Light sleepers may want a set of earplugs, but it didn’t bother either of us

Great place, great location

The property was great. Location was perfect, close to everything and in the middle if the city.the property is in good condition, check in and check out were simple. One note: i had forgotten that the hot water in Reykjavik has a slight egg smell from the hot springs. My family didn’t know, and they were kinda weireded out by that, but it all worked out. Maybe add this to the property notes. Parking was fine. We parked in a free lot to the left of Hallgrimskirkja. Great stay, beautiful city, wonderful time.

Great location!

It was difficult to locate and it was hard to get help through vrbo. The addresses are not easily identifiable like in the US. I will not rent a place anywhere outside the US through vrbo in the future because you can’t directly text the owner. The place had a nice layout. Comfortable beds. Some box fans would have been nice as it was a bit hot. We were able to open the door on balcony and small windows.

We enjoyed our trip and this location was perfect for a base, parking was up the hill at church and pastries around the corner. I think the property could use a fresh coat of paint to brighten things up and a little bit of a deep scrub/update for the kitchen and bathroom. Things did not seem as bright/fresh as the photos. When we arrived there were no sheets for the sofa bed however the staff were able to give me instructions on how to obtain them from the basement laundry. There was some street noise from people going to the bars but nothing too terrible that I couldn’t sleep. We enjoyed the laundry in the unit but the dryer was incredibly slow.

Adorable apartment in the heart of Reykjavik

My friends and I absolutely loved this apartment! The location is perfect and right in the heart of Reykjavik. It's easy to get to dining, shopping, tour bus stops, and all the sights. Beds were super comfy. As some have noted, there was occasional street noise late at night / early morning but that's to be expected from the location and it was only periodic. Use a sound machine to overcome. The property managers were prompt and helpful with all communication. We would stay here again.

Great location

This apt was in a great location, but it can get loud on the street at night and w other people renting other apts in the building and coming back late at night (doors slamming, hallway walls are thin). We had to reach out to the management office (not based in Iceland) to supply us with the entrance codes right before we arrived, thankfully they replied fast. Having an outdoor balcony was lovely. For the price tag to rent/night, the bathroom shower curtain and kitchen chairs should to be changed as they were moldy and beat up. The shower water and tap water smelled like sulfur, so be prepared for that. Having a washer/dryer was a big plus.

We had a great time. The apartment is in a great location downtown Reykjavik. The street that it is located on has numerous restaurants, shops and a supermarket. Ideal for those who are not renting a car, as you are within walking distance of attractions and tour pickup locations. My family and I would stay here again, as the apartment itself was spacious and we were not on top of each other. There were four (4) adults in my party. The only drawback is the one bathroom, but that did not deter from us enjoying the apartment. Thank you.'

Great apartment in a great location

This was perfect for our family of 5! Loved having a dishwasher and washing machine. The light was out in the shower and a curtain rod was broken. It didn’t bother us but I messaged the manager to let them know. They came and fixed it anyway, which was a nice surprise. Street parking was easy to find. We parked a few blocks away to keep the cost reasonable. The only thing I wish it had was a broom, but I’m a bit of a neat freak and like to be able to clean up after ourselves when traveling.

Perfect Stay

Location can't be beat. The apartment is clean and has the basic amenities required. It was perfect for our family of five. Recommend strongly as a base of stay while visiting Iceland.

Great apartment; convenient location

The property was immaculate, and wonderfully sized for two couples. The location was excellent during the day; right in the center of town, walkable to many sights. At night, though, being in the middle of the action has a bit of a drawback. Especially on Friday night there was quite a bit of noise that went on well past midnight. Obviously not the fault of the owners/manager, but something to consider if you need a quiet location.

Perfect RVK Location!

We loved our stay in downtown RVK! This was the perfect home base for exploring the city and the nearby highlights of the beautiful countryside. I had no idea just how central the location was; so convenient to restaurants and browsing. The flat had everything our family of 5 needed. Parking was easy and inexpensive. Communication was simple, direct, and timely. Thank you!

Hit and miss

First, the location is fantastic. I don’t think you could ask for better. The accommodations were OK. Nothing special but not bad. Think of a well used version of the photos. The shower light was out. The shower hot water smelled of sulfur but I’m not sure if that’s common for Reykjavik. The dryer didn’t dry but maybe that was user error. But by far, the biggest drawback is the noise. It was VERY loud. Not just a low rumble of music but as if a concert was going on nearby. You could hear low volume music distinctly through our ear plugs. Half of my family was up half the night. Those of us that didn’t sleep on the plane and we’re exhausted managed a half night of sleep. The noise ended around 11-midnight. If you stay out late, you’d be OK.

The apartment was smack downtown, shower was dirty with mold shower curtain rings but now curtain so had to face the head towards the shower wall. Half the light bulbs were missing or not working. One towel for each of us for nearly 2 weeks. Freezer looks like it had not been defrosted since the 80's. The pictures online were without a doubt doctored cause the place was old and dirty. At night loud music until past midnight and lots of noises all night. If you like cheap college furniture and dirty bathroom and pillows with stains and loud noises then you will like this place. Also we paid for an extra night since the property management company said we could not check in early but said we could pay for an extra night so we could check in at 7AM well we get to the apartment and the code they gave us did not work called the after hour number at least 10 times before someone answered then it took another hour after that to get into the apartment so we had to stand outside in the rain for nearly 3 hours.

Full stocked apartment in excellent location.

This house is right in the heart of it all and has everything needed to be a home base for exploring city and surrounding area. It is right above a cafe and on the Main Street with restaurants, shopping etc.

Great location but noisy

Excellent location near all the shops, restaurants and city center. However it is very noisy late at night due to all the activities.
