D’Angelis house was amazingly beautiful, clean, quaint, great location. We would definitely stay here again. Rachele was an amazing, kind host. Such a wonderful way to spend days on the Amalfi Coast.

Nice getaway
It was a nice house but too far from down town. The property manager was very nice and helpful.

Cozy clean apartment with well proportioned bedrooms nestled in the hills. The gem is a beautiful terrace overlooking the sea. Well equipped kitchen stocked with breakfast items, spices, vinegar, olive oil and plenty of pots and pans. A bit hidden away but at the same time convenient for visiting the Costa Amalfi with a car. Street parking tight but normally available.
We stayed here for 2 weeks and enjoyed it immensely. Rachele was most attentive and responded to our needs quickly and effectively. As we were here in late April there were some cool evenings when we would have loved to have the fireplace (pellet stove) working but had to rely on the heat pump in the bedroom as the only heat. When we left in May the weather had improved and this was less a problem. The sun loungers on the terrace were a nice amenity but not really meant for sitting and chatting (a couple of comfortable chairs would be better).
The house was very comfortable, nicely equipped and conveniently located for discovering the Amalfi Coast. The roof terrace provides an extraordinary view, and that is where we spent most of our vacation. Towels, linens, beds were all high quality and comfortable.
The host Rachele, is designated as a super host. She is the most super super host that we have ever stayed with. Rachele offered us directions to the house (which is difficult to find with GPS) and we very much appreciated it. We arrived after a long travel day and Rachele not only greeted us warmly and explained the house. She had provided coffee, cream, pastries, butter, jams for breakfast the next morning and pasta, sauces, onion, garlic, tomato and a lovely bottle of wine so that we didn’t have to leave the house our first evening.
You will need a rental car to explore. However, you don’t need a car to buy groceries or to go out to eat.
The town is very friendly and when approached in Italian many people speak fluent English. The local restaurants were excellent, and we went to Il Panorama more than once - Beautiful view, the friendliest service, vegetables right out of the garden and wonderful pizza with a nice and reasonable wine list.
Rachel checked in with us via WhatsApp every day to see if we were having fun, needed anything or had questions about what to do and where to go. The house was very special, romantic, convenient and oh so memorable. We want to return!

Grazie mille a te Mark per le tue belle parole, torna quando vuoi ti aspetto. 😘😍
I can't say enough about Rachele's home and her hospitality. The house is full of warmth and felt like a home vs a hotel. Rachele provided all the basics a family might need (beach towels, well equiped kitchen, wifi worked well). The house was very clean. The view from the roof deck is spectacular from sunset to sunrise. Our kids slept outside a few nights. Perfectly safe (our kids are 12) although parents will want to monitor younger children on the deck. Rachele and her son-in-law and her husband were all incredibly kind and helpful without imposing. They checked in on us via WhatsApp to ensure we were comfortable and were very responsive when we had questions. There is A/C in the bedrooms. Only one bathroom (no tub), no laundry but I'm sure there are places in town if it's needed. There are stairs to climb to enter the home and stairs to the master, but there is ground floor bedroom once you've made it into the house. The couch pulls out to a full size sofabed as well. Amalfi is about an hour + drive due to the roads, so go early... You don't want to drive the roads at night, although we did and found fewer cars on the road making driving less frightening. We loved Sorrento, so being far from touristy Amalfi was fine. We loved Positano too, which is a bit closer. Our family of four had an unforgettable stay at Rachel's. The only challenge was parking, which is free but on a street down a path from the house on a curving road. You must be careful crossing if you have a car to park, particularly with luggage or small children. If you're arriving in a taxi it shouldn't be an issue. Grazie, Rachele y familia! 5 stars from California family.

Owners demanded additional cash payment after we arrived
The first issue is that the property owners charged us more money after we arrived and were at her mercy. She says it is a tourist tax and it was not a lot of money. Regardless of the amount, she was deceitful. Renters are NOT supposed to pay owners cash outside of VRBO. I had no choice but to pay her - we had no place else to go.
Aside from that, the owners were friendly and kind. There was a town wide issue with the water and they brought us lots of water jugs to help us. The owner checked in via email about four times a day to see how we were managing without water.
The listing mentions that the house comes with parking, but it does not. You park on a narrow winding street wherever you can find a spot. Several nights we had to park far down the road and walk up in the dark with our three children and motorcycles whipping past (probably about 10 minutes total between the road and the driveway).
There was a gorgeous view from the balcony which we were unable to enjoy because it was 95 degrees out. We couldn't find a way to get enough shade outside even though there was no umbrella. Sadly, there was no view from anywhere inside the house. To get to the town, the walk on the street was treacherous, particularly with grocery bags and my three kids (I think this is the case all over Italy, not just for this property). The beach seemed so close, but it was quite far. I couldn't find a beach that was closer than 26 minutes away, so we only got to go once.
The sofa is not facing the TV so we watched a movie on our kids' beds in their bedroom. It was disappointing not to have a place to hang out.
The master bedroom on the second floor does not have a door. And the ceiling is sloped so I hit my head opening the dresser. The door to the balcony was off the master bedroom so here was no privacy, which didn't bother us.
I told the owner that we were leaving at 6:30am to catch our flight. She showed up at the house at 6:15 and watched me frantically pack, which was pretty intrusive.
Overall, I think a lot of my disappointment was because I didn't do enough research, or think about what our housing should be for the last leg of our long trip. The house was fine and the location was fine. The owners were kind, and I felt safe. But I should have thought about my priorities for the grand finale of our15-day trip.

Wonderful hosts.
Kitchen fitted well
Beds very good and linen starched perfectly
Great restaurant ‘ Il Refugio ‘ - expect great food and hospitality. Just down the main street
Great view from the roof patio.
This home was really charming and very clean! There are two bedrooms, a nice kitchen and living/dining area and beautiful deck that overlooks the sea. The home is walking distance to a grocery store, several restaurants and gelato. The host, Rachelle, was very accommodating and available for questions. Highly recommend.
This property was so beautiful and felt like home. The host is the best with all her amazing services and very attentive to her guest. The view from the home is spectacular and I would 100% come back and bring my family and recommend this to others. Such an amazing experience and it made my vacations so special !!
Lovely area from which to explore the Amalfi Coast
This was a fabulous, comfortable home In the hills just above Sorrento. Rachele and Mario have created a wonderful holiday paradise! The view from the roof terrace is outstanding - you can see both the Bay of Naples and the Amalfi/Mediterranean. Wifi kept the kids happy. The kitchen is beautiful and well provided for. The local area - Colli di Fontanelle - is quiet and authentic. We ate fabulous food (at Mezzaluna) that was so cheap we could eat out more than normal (we are a family of five). I highly recommend the house and the area! We were so grateful to have found such a lovely place! We spent two weeks in heaven.
