About this property

Beach front Cottage, close to downtown - Private Beach and Great Water views

I do not advertise on Craigslist and do not take Western Union as a form of payment. I am not on any social media and rentals that do not come through this website are a SCAM.

This cottage is right on the water and there are steps down to a private beach! It is one of 20 free standing condo cottages at the Wellfleeter Condo Association. There is a spectacular waterfront view of Wellfleet Harbor and Cape Cod Bay from the three sliders one in the master bedroom, the kitchen and the living room. The sunsets will take your breath away. Wow- it still surprises me how amazing the view is when I go over there. It is cottage #9.

The association stairs- there are about 15 steps- lead you down to the sandy bay beach for swimming, boating, fishing, shell fishing, or just plain relaxing! The water here is tidal so beach access depends on the tide. There are two or three steps up to get into the cottage. Right down the street from the playground, skateboard park, tennis and basketball courts. The town pier, many restaurants, art galleries and shopping in downtown Wellfleet are within a short distance. I often walk it. The cottage has wireless internet.

We have three bedrooms:
One with a queen bed, one with a full size bed and one with two twin beds. Each bedroom has a closet and dresser. We provide mattress pads, pillows and blankets. YOU are responsible for BRINGING or RENTING YOUR OWN your sheets, bath and beach towels.

The kitchen has a table to eat in and also a slider out to the patio where we have our grill and waterfront picnic table. We have tried to stock the kitchen with anything you might need pot and pan wise. We have dishes, glasses, flatware and a dishwasher. We have spices, olive oil and some of the basic items you might want/need; a roll of paper towels, aluminum foil, saran wrap, dish & dishwasher soap, and coffee. If you expect to use more paper goods please bring them and leave the cottage as you found it with a roll of towels for the next guests.

We have a basement with beach chairs, beach toys and a washer and dryer. Feel free to use all of it! Basement is accessed via an exterior bulkhead. Remember do not lock the bulkhead.

If you want to get a Wellfleet Town Beach sticker for other beaches please go on line to the Town website or to the beach office at the pier when you arrive.

Great location with beautiful views, very comfortable beds and lots of kitchen equipment, washer and dryer was appreciated as were the game equipment we borrowed from the basement. We liked that the decor had a touch of "beach house" but was not overdone.

The cottage is absolutely perfect. 3 bedrooms are perfect. The basement is full of outdoor games. The interior has many games books and many kitchen accessories. Best part is it is on the Bay! We had a great stay. Will definitely stay again

Fantastic Water View and Location

We have stayed at this amazing property three times, and we will be going back again next year! The view of the waterfront is expansive and truly gorgeous. The location of the cottage is perfect, right by the bay beach and also close to restaurants. The property is very clean too. Highly recommend!

Wonderful stay!

Our family of six (including 4 teens) truly enjoyed our stay in this wonderful cottage overlooking the gorgeous bay. We enjoyed swimming, watching the tidal changes, walking to Mac's for ice cream and lobster rolls, and playing pickleball at the nearby courts. The location was perfect for relaxing and short trips to Provincetown and Great Island Trail. Kathleen was incredibly responsive and welcoming. We are grateful to have found this special spot.

This is our third time staying and everything about the house and stay was perfect. Check in was seamless. When we ran out of propane it was replaced within two hours(!?!), and the house continues to always be so clean and have improvements every time we stay. 5+ stars!

This is the best spot on the planet. So gorgeous and the cottage was lovely and iconic of a beach house. We absolutely loved our visit. There were sand toys for the kids, beach chairs, games, full kitchen setup, and we were feet from the ocean. ❤️

Cottage lived up to and beyond my expectations.

The cottage and my stay were excellent. I usually stay ocean front on the National Seashore side of Wellfleet, but decided to try the Harbor this year. It was great being so close to Wellfleet Center, the pier and all the restaurants. Not to mention a private beach is right outside your door and the waterfront views are awesome! The cottage was very clean and neat and I can tell it's well cared for. Kathleen is very nice and very accommodating. I would definitely stay again and I highly recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a nice relaxing vacation.

Beautiful waterfront rental

This home is stunning so beautifully decorated and top notch beach access. Walking distance to many restaurant and beach is 10 steps from the house. Everything you need is at this house just bring your linens and food and you will be ready for a great vacation.. Lots of chairs, beach toys etc at the house and bonus is having a washer and dryer. Community was so quiet most days we were all by ourselves on the beach, Owner was so amazing to deal with always responsive to any questions I had, You can not get a better rental in Wellfleet! Cant wait to return.

The sun always shines on Welfleet

Adorable cottage overlooking the private beach! Beautiful views, perfect to sit at the picnic table with your morning coffee or at night watching the stars twinkle. Cross breezes keep the cottage cool…. We walked in to a fresh bouquet of wild flowers on the island! How thoughtful and pretty! The cottage was thoughtfully stocked with just about every kitchen tool one might need. Meticulously clean and tidy. Everything from kids games to fans to cleaning supplies. Everything we needed was there. Kathleen was responsive to the few questions we did have. I highly recommend this property!

Wonderful, relaxing, last minute family get away.

My family of 6 was not planning to go on vacation this summer. The stars aligned and when we discovered this little cottage in Wellfleet, we couldn’t pass it up. Amazingly, due to a cancelation, the only week we could escape town, this cottage was now available. It was wonderful. Great location and in the middle of everything. With a family of 6, the only tricky part was one bathroom, but We figured out a routine and it actually wasn’t that bad. This cottage is directly on the water,, walking distance to everything in town and Kathleen was very attentive and quick to respond with any questions. The cottage was clean, fully stocked with beach chairs/toys for kids/family games, kitchen had everything you needed. It is small, but families with 4 kids can make it work. Thank you Kathleen for sharing this wonderful little treasure that my family was able to make lots of memories in. ❤️

Ocean front cottage

My family of 5 had a wonderful stay at Wellfleeter cottage number 9. We put our 10 and 6 year old on the room with two twin beds and the 4 year old in the room with a full. My husband and I took the queen. The Cottage was very well stocked with basic spices, olive oil, balsamic, and dish towels. Big pots are in the basement. There are plenty of plates, mugs, cups, including kid-friendly non-breakable options. We loved the toys in the closet and the beach toys in the basement. The location was fantastic - we walked to a playground, which also had tennis and pickle ball courts. And we could walk to Mac's seafood. Big kids or adults could walk to town. We just drove and parked near Hatch's to go to town. In the mornings, the tide is low and we could dig, make sand castles with moats or walk out to see the oyster farmers. In the afternoons the tide is high and the water goes up the sea wall, but without big waves. This creates a pool effect and is perfect for floaties. The unit has WIFI, but the television has cable and no smart options. We purchased a Roku device and an HDMI cable and it worked perfectly. I recommend guests bring these items or that the cottage invest in a system that guests can log into. My children do not understand broadcast cable. All in all, a wonderful stay in a beautiful place!

I was born in the Bronx, NY, grew up in Westchester County and moved to Wellfleet in 2000. I love Wellfleet and the Outer Cape and feel very fortunate to call it my home! I have owned a cottage at the Wellfleeter since 2003 and still pinch myself when I come over here. It is such a special place!

Why they chose this property

This cottage is in such an amazing location, near down town and right on the water with such peaceful water views, both my mom and I talk about spending our entire summers there at some point. Until I can afford to do that, I will be renting it out and would love to have you come and enjoy my little slice of heaven!

What makes this property unique

Location, location, location- I still pinch myself when I am over at the cottage that I am fortunate enough to own it! The location is fabulous. Sometimes when I am in the cottage looking out at the water I feel like I am on a cruise ship.
