Woodman's Cottage is a charming stone cottage in the lovely Yorkshire Dales village of Stainforth, 2 miles north of the beautiful market town of Settle. Right in the middle of the Three Peaks area the cottage is perfect for walks, rides and runs.

Having recently been refurbished the cottage has a super living/dining room and kitchen. With solid oak beams, a blue country cottage kitchen and bespoke oak dining table the living room, with multi fuel stove makes a lovely place to relax in the evening.

The cottage also features a utility room, garage (with pool table and table tennis table), broadband/wifi and a pretty stone walled south facing garden., There is parking space for 2 cars at the rear.

Weekend stay

Great little house in the middle of a lovely village. Well positioned for a weekend where we could walk in every direction and have beautiful views and lovely rivers. Kids enjoyed swimming in the river.

Relaxing oasis

The cottage was in a quiet location with lots of walks from the doorstep. Cootage was cosy and comfortable with everything required for a lovely break away.

Great little break

We had a lovely time in the cottage, everything was clean and the kitchen well stocked. The boys loved playing pool in the garage. Great surrounding walks. Thoroughly recommend

Short Break

Lovely cottage in a great location with some spectacular sights nearby. Cottage has everything needed for a great break away with the added bonus of a games room. Owners were very helpful and quick at responding to any questions I had.

We loved the location in a quiet village with numerous walks on your door step and others just a short drive away. Pool table a h huge hit and home from home items make it so much easier to pack and plan, boot warmer, washing machine and tumble drier etc, decor is tasteful and the dining table makes family meals really easy. Kids loved the bunk beds and the night time owl was an added bonus!

Lovely stay in Yorkshire

We've just had a lovely week in this pretty stone cottage in a nice quiet village. The kitchen is well equipped and modern. It has a comfortable and spacious living room with a lovely large window overlooking the front garden. There are wonderful walks in all directions from the cottage. Settle is a short drive away with plenty of shops and places to eat. We would recommend this cottage.

Stunning and so relaxing

We had such a brilliant weekend at the cottage. Lovely meal at the knights table, which is a 15 minute walk away. Lighting the fire and the games room was a huge hit. Our favourite day was at Malham cove hiking up the 400 steps to the most beautiful views and then walking along the path to Gills Foss. The Buck in for a beer after both walks was perfect. We couldn’t fault this property and will most definately be returning.

Great location

Great cottage in a beautiful little village Quite but pub within a minute walk 10 mins from Settle with shops takeaway's and restaurants Walking from cottage in all directions Cottage has everything you require all working and good condition and is very comfortable with plenty of room and great comfy beds and quite bedrooms Little secure patio gardens front and back with secure gated parking ideal for the 4 legged member of the family Lots to see and do in the area Beautiful location Great communication with owners before arrival Highly recommend for a chilling , walking exploring holiday in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales

A lovely break

Maria and Richard couldn't have been more accomodating and communication from them was excellent. The property was as described and in a great location to explore the local area. We had a wonderful stay.

Perfect Cottage in Lovely Village

We had a super stay. Checkin couldn’t have been smoothers. The cottage was clean, tidy and extremely well provisioned. A great base from which to explore the dales. The table tennis and pool table was extremely popular with our children keeping them occupied morning and evening. The village itself is extremely quiet and has a lovely pub, waterfalls to explore and a picturesque set of stepping stones, great for a morning’s paddle. Overall highly recommended.

Stylish, modern and comfortable with everything teens need!

WOW - what a fabulous location!! Great riverside walks with beautiful waterfalls from your front door, our labrador had a fantastic holiday too. Comfortable beds, all mod cons and a few fun evenings playing pool in the games room/garage. Woodmans Cottage is large and stylish. well equipt with comfortable beds and superb internet connection / digital TV (which also kept our teens happy)! We will definitely be returning to this area of Yorkshire - so much glorious countryside to explore and 1 week just not long enough. Thank you for s wonderful stay.

Fantastic stay

This property was excellent. Comfortable, everything you need, lovely welcome pack. I would only say that the water pressure needs attention as the shower wasn't great. Other than that, it was lovely. Great to have the pool table/table tennis table in garage for our teenagers. Would stay again.

Pretty Cottage in pretty village..

We all really enjoyed our stay in Woodmans Cottage. You will find a large cosy lounge with wood burning stove and tasteful furnishings and fully equipped kitchen ideal for those who enjoy cooking or if you wish to prepare a quick meal. As an added bonus there is a pool table and ping pong in the garage. Upstairs there are good sized bedrooms all with comfy beds. We stayed for 4 nights but It would also be perfect for a linger stay. Thank you Maria.

Lovely cottage in a great location

we really enjoyed our stay in the Woodman's cottage and appreciated the welcome pack after a long drive. There are lots of nice touches, good quality furnishings and comfortable beds. It is a spacious cottage, has parking and makes use of the garage with a pool table. There is a pub in the village and Settle with its shops is only a short drive away. The weather was perfect too and we didn't want to come home -we will definitely return and would highly recommend.

Little gem in the Dales

Perfect cottage for our walking holiday in the Dales. The cottage is spacious and tastefully furnished. The utility room is such a valuable asset to the cottage, as it provides a practical solution to the Yorkshire weather. The provision of a boot-dryer, as an example, is a very thoughtful gadget (will be buying one of these for myself, for use at home). Comfy beds; plenty of hot water; a well-stocked kitchen; and very pet-friendly. Richard and Maria could not have done more for us, including scones, and a lovely welcome pack, and were quick to address any questions we had. Overall, we would thoroughly recommend this property - it was perfect.
