Located in Heart of Kill Devil Hills with a 2 minute walk to the beach

Centrally located in the heart of Kill Devil Hills! Casa de Paz or Peaceful House. Walking distance to new Publix grocery store, restaurants and activities like putt-putt. Spend your days at the beach or cooking out in the spacious backyard. Well-suited for a large family or multiple households vacationing together. One of the very few streets with pedestrian crosswalks that ensures safe crossing to the public beach access while also offering the quiet sound side neighborhood. The ground floor is not available to guests. Master Bedroom, King Bed private bathroom Guest Bedroom, Queen Bed Guest Bedroom, Full Bed Bunk Room, bunk bed with full bed on bottom and twin on top of bunk The cottage has a rear deck overlooking a large backyard. The yard is not fenced. We have added seating on the deck to enjoy time or dinner outside. Walk to the backyard to play corn hole or swing in the hammock.

House Rules


Please be mindful of the decor during your stay. If there are small children in your party feel free to rearrange as necessary, then return items before departure.

Do not take bathroom towels to the beach.

Do not wash sandy towels after beach use, this will damage the machine. Hang on the deck to dry, then shake to remove excess sand.
No smoking in the house or decking. If you choose to smoke outside of the property, safely remove all cigarette butts.

The house uses a septic system, do not flush feminine products down the toilet.

Basic necessities are provided for your stay; however, additional toilet paper and paper towels may need to be purchased for larger groups or longer stays.

Check Out Process

Please - leave our home as you found it upon arrival. We expect honesty, respect, and common decency from all of our visitors.
Check-out is at 10:00 AM, please plan accordingly so that the housekeeping schedule is not disrupted.

During your stay and day of departure, we ask that our guests:

Remove all bedding and place on the foot of the bed for housekeeping.

Put towels (bath, kitchen, hand), and wash clothes in the washing machine, add detergent, and start washer.

Empty all trash (kitchen & bathrooms) to the outdoor trash receptacle located at the ground level.

Wash, dry, and put all the dishes, pots and pans, etc. back in the cabinets they came from.

Turn off all interior/exterior lights prior to leaving.

Close all windows and lock all doors.

Set the thermostat to 75 degrees.

Report any broken items to owners, accidents happen and that's what the damage insurance is for ;-)
